Something like this:

    /node/text()[2]

of course doesn&#39;t work because it&#39;s the merged result of every text inside the node.

I have a RecyclerView with an TextView text box and a cross button ImageView. I have a button outside of the recyclerview that makes the cross button ImageView visible / gone.

I&#39;m looking to remove an item from the recylerview, when that items cross button ImageView is pressed.

How can I get something like an onClick working for my crossButton ImageView? Is there a better way? Maybe changing the whole item onclick into a remove the item? The recyclerview shows a list of locations that need to be edited. Any technical advice or comments / suggestions on best implementation would be hugely appreciated.

I want to select values of 1 in columns starting with `foo.`. Is there a better way to do it other than:

In JavaScript, it&#39;s possible to programmatically select text in an `input` or `textarea` element. You can focus an input with `ipt.focus()`, and then select its contents with [`ipt.select()`](https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/Input.select). You can even select a specific range with [`ipt.setSelectionRange(from,to)`](https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/Input.setSelectionRange).

My question is: is there any way to do this in a `contenteditable` element too? 

I found that I can do `elem.focus()`, to put the caret in a `contenteditable` element, but subsequently running `elem.select()` doesn&#39;t work (and nor does `setSelectionRange`). I can&#39;t find anything on the web about it, but maybe I&#39;m searching for the wrong thing...

By the way, if it makes any difference, I only need it to work in Google Chrome, as this is for a Chrome extension.

When I click on my `UITableViewCell`, the background part (the areas that my background image doesn&#39;t cover) turns blue when I click on the cell. Also, all of the `UILabel`s on the cell turn to white when it is clicked which is what I want.

However what I do not want is the blue background when I click it but if I do `selectionstylenone`, then I lose the highlighted colours for the `UILabel`s in the cell.

So is there any way to just get rid of the blue background when the cell is clicked but to keep the highlighted colors of the `UILabel`s?

Custom UITableViewCell selection style?

I am looking for an &quot;**eyedropper**&quot; tool, that gives me the hex value of the pixel the mouse cursor is under, in JavaScript for a CMS.

For Firefox, there is the excellent [**ColorZilla**][2] extension that does exactly that. However, it&#39;s FF only of course, and I would really like to deliver the tool along with the CMS.

A dutch developer has had the [**very clever idea**][1] of using a combination of Ajax and PHP&#39;s `imagecolorat()` to find out the Pixel colour on an image. **But that limits the range to images I can access server side**, and I&#39;m really dreaming of a universal tool. 

I will work with one of these approaches, but would much prefer a cross-browser, Javascript or Flash based way that requires no server-side fiddling and no installing of extensions.

I am also interested in any IE specific solutions that do what ColorZilla can do - I could live with supporting IE and FF only, though a cross browser solution would of course be ideal.

Please take this situation as an example:
A son of german immigrants is living in the north-east of France next to Luxemburg and Germany. His native language is French, so he did set the user-interfaces language of his iPhone to French (Settings → General → International → Language → Fran&#231;ais). But due to his cultural background and because the region where he is living is bilingual, he also speaks German very well. But he doesn&#39;t speak ten words of English. On an iPhone (and iPad as well) he has no chance to select a second language, so the phone only knows that he spreaks french. It has no knowledge of the users skills in other languages.

Now comes my app: I did develop it in English and German (German is my native language and English is standard-language in IT). I did develop it according to all rules and best practices for mulilingual iOS-Apps. &quot;First&quot; Language (default language) of my app is English.

*This means:*

If somebody has chosen English or German in his Settings, the apps user-interface automatically will use the selected language. The user will not even notice that there are other languages available.

But if he did select any other language (like Chinese, Polish or French) in the general settings, he will get the apps default-language, which, in my case, is English. But for my french-german friend this is not the best choice. He would like to use the existing german version, but there seems to be no way to let the user select this version.

Adding a french translation would solve the problem for our french-german friend, but not for people speaking two other languages (such as italian and german), and I can not support my app with all languages spoken on this planet.
Setting the default-language to German is also not optimal, because this would rise the same problem for people speaking french (as native language) and English (as second language).

So I think my app must have the possibility to manually select a language that is different from the pre-selected language. Adding a language-selection to the apps settings-panel ist not the problem. We have 45 distinct numbers divided into 9 group with 5 elements each.

1. The first step is sorting every group (in this case they are already sorted)
2. Second step recursively, ﬁnd the &quot;true&quot; median of the medians (`50 45 40 35 30 25 20 15 10`) i.e. the set will be divided into 2 groups:

        50 25
            
        45 20 
             
        40 15
    
        35 10
    
        30

  sorting these 2 groups


        30 10

the medians is 40 and 15 (in case the numbers are even we took left median)

By the way in the Wikipedia example, I get result of recursion as 36. However, the true median is 47.

So, I think in some cases this recursion may not return true median of medians. I want to understand where is my mistake.

I use the above data trigger to grey out unavailable items.

The problem I&#39;m facing is that the fact that the item is selected has nothing to do with the underlying data to which the template is bound.  What I really want is some kind of multi-trigger that supports both a regular `Trigger` on a dependency property (`ListBoxItem.IsSelected`) along with a `DataTrigger` on the bound data item.

Can this be done without introducing the concept of selection into my view model?

_For anyone wondering why I do not disable unavailable items, understand that it is a requirement of the application that unavailable options may be selected.  There are actually a few list boxes, and selection in one effects what&#39;s available in the others.  I cannot disable the items as the user would not be able to change their minds or explore different combinations if items were disabled based upon earlier selections._

UITableViewCell Selected Background Color on Multiple Selection

Currently I&#39;m getting the selected text in the browser doing this:

    window.getSelection();

Now I need to show a tooltip above that text when pressing a custom key(note that the mouse could not be over the text anymore), so in order to do that I need the absolute position of that selected text.

Is there a way to do that, maybe wrapping that text inside a tag and then getting the offsets? It just has to work in Chrome, not all browsers.

For example, &lt;kbd&gt;Control&lt;/kbd&gt;+&lt;kbd&gt;a&lt;/kbd&gt; selects whole contents of a file in Notepad, Notepad++, etc.
