Is there a way to get the device model name (iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, etc) in Swift?

I know there is a property named `UIDevice.currentDevice().model` but it only returns device type (iPod touch, iPhone, iPad, iPhone Simulator, etc).

I also know it can be done easily in Objective-C with this method:

I&#39;ve just upgraded to Xcode 4.5 GM and found out that you can now apply the &#39;4&quot; Retina&#39; size to your view controller in the storyboard.

Now if I want to create an application that runs on both iPhone 4 and 5, of course I have to build every window twice, but I also have to detect whether the user has an iPhone with 3.5&quot; or 4&quot; screen and then apply the view.

I am making a game that utilizes the peer-to-peer bluetooth capabilities of the iPhone (and probably the iPod touch 2nd generation). However, to stop the users from trying to play a multiplayer on an iPod 1st gen and iPhone 2G I need to check for the specific device model.

[[UIDevice currentDevice] model] will only tell me if the device is an &quot;iPhone&quot; or an &quot;iPod touch&quot;. Is there a way to check for the specific device model, like: &quot;iPhone 3GS&quot;, &quot;iPod touch 1st generation&quot; or something.

I have HTC Comet connected to Eclipse with SDK 2.2. I do a debug build - the application does not run; though it does get installed on the device. On the device I get this message box on the Comet screen

I&#39;m using Eclipse + ADT, and my physical device (listed below) is unlisted on Android Device Chooser. I have updated Eclipse and all of the Android packages. My phone is running Android OS 1.6, which corresponds to the target version listed in the Eclipse Project. 

Also, the reason I decided to try testing on a real device is because the emulator doesn&#39;t seem to be working right anymore when I run my project. The emulator launches, but the program never does. Any ideas?

Android Device Chooser -- device not showing up

On a debug build in Xcode, regardless of whether I am using the simulator or an actual device, NSLog, printf, fprintf assert and NSAssert statements come out on the console

If I now run a release build on the device (say I send a test flight build and big it up on my iPhone; this will be a release build), which of these (if any) are getting recorded?

And how do I retrieve the log?

Does NSLog actually output something on release build?   What is the determining factor? Whether it is writing to stdout or stderr?   is only stderr written to device log?   Does this mean I have to use fprintf?   Is ANYTHING written to device log?  is there even such a thing?  If so, how to pick it up?

Could someone clarify the situation?

From &#39;create new AVD&#39; window, I can see many targets. 
There are 2 targets for API level 10 such as &#39;android 2.3.3&#39; and Google APIs(Google Inc).
Among those targets, I&#39;m uncertain which one I should choose.

Why does adb return offline after the device string?

In R, it is possible to hold a device, draw the picture, and then flush the device to render the graphics. This is useful for very complex plots with thousands of data points, color gradients etc since without holding, the device would be refreshed after each plotting operation. It works quite well.

However, once the plot is in place, any window operation such as a resize will cause the plot to be refreshed -- however, this time without holding and flushing the device, but plotting the plot elements one by one and refreshing the display each time. This is extremely annoying.

Clearly, I could call manually `dev.hold` before resizing the window, but this is not a real solution.

Is there a way of telling R that the device should be put on hold for operations such as resize?

I know this can be done for simulator.

I try to implement google oauth, following the [Google OAuth2ForDevices](https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/OAuth2ForDevices). 

My App is registered on Google Cloud Console, as native App. When I try to follow the OAuth2ForDevices using Google Chromes - Advanced Rest Client Application, I get the json response with the user_code and verfication_url. Opening the verfication_url and enterering the user_code, leads to the follwoing Error: 

&gt; invalid_client: no support email
&gt; Error 400

I tried this with 2 registred Apps on Google Cloud Console. Both leading to the same error. 

**Anys hints, how to solve this? Do I have to register a `support email` somewhere in google cloud services?**

I am developing `Android` application on `macOS` and my application runs well on the emulator. I want to run it on the device, but when I run `adb devices` I get nothing.

I tried to add my iPhone to Xcode4 to test my Application on it. I added the device in the Apple Developer-Center and downloaded the Provision-Profile. We pay 99$ per month for the account and I&#39;m not the only person who use this account. So there is already an &quot;older&quot; certificate present which I tried to add to my keychain-manager. But I see a red-text above it (translated from german) &quot;This certificate has been signed by an unknown instance.&quot;.

In my XCode-Device Manager in the Provisioning-Section there&#39;s also an error: &quot;XCode could not find a valid private-key/certificate pair for this profile in your keychain.&quot;

I really don&#39;t understand what I have to do now. These keys may really not exist in my keychain, I can&#39;t find them. So how I have to create them know and how can I use them if there is already one certificate in the Apple Dev-Center?

After upgrading to OS X Yosemite I found that eclipse was not working because JAVA was not properly installed. I installed it and now I am able to open eclipse. 

When I connect my device, I am able to see my device on the device list in eclipse. However when I run my project, I am unable to see it on Android device chooser. My device is getting detected by Eclipse but I am not able to select it to run.

This was working perfectly on my previous OS X Mavericks! Please help!
