I have a custom BttomSheetDialogFragment and I want to have round corners in top of Bottom View

This is my Custom class that inflates my layout that I want to appear from bottom

The problem is, when I set this resource file as background of my Layout&#39;s root element, the corners still are not rounded.

I can&#39;t use below code:

Because it overrides the default background of BottomSheetDialog and there won&#39;t be any semi-transparent gray color above my Bottom View.

Toolbar overlapping below status bar

I&#39;ve added the appCompat material design to my app and it seems that the alert dialogs are not using my primary, primaryDark, or accent colors. 

Here is my base style:

Material Design not styling alert dialogs

I was using the `BottomSheetBehavior` with the original support library:

    implementation &#39;com.android.support:design:27.1.1&#39; 

When I migrated to use the new `androidx` libraries though the `BottomSheetBehavior` is missing. The mapping from the above support library isn&#39;t in the [AndroidX Refactoring List][1] either, but the migration tool removed it.

What am I missing to include the BottomSheetBehavior with the new `androidx` libraries.

BottomSheetBehavior not in androidX libraries

Recently I switched from support library to com.google.android.material:material:1.0.0

And the theme I am using

does exactly what it says in that note, it replaces AlertDialog Buttons to MaterialButtons but the problem is that by default MaterialButtons are colored background and now the buttons looks like this: [![enter image description here][1]][1]

How can I make them borderless and backgroundless again?

I have a com.google.android.material.button.MaterialButton component in one of my layout file and I get this error when I am using the latest version of the Material Components library (com.google.android.material:material:1.0.0-alpha3):

**java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: This component requires that you specify a valid android:textAppearance attribute.**

It wasn&#39;t present in 1.0.0-alpha1. Is this a bug in the library or should I just specify a textAppearance attribute from now?

Set com.google.android.material.chip.Chip selected color

I have been looking for ways to implement a searchview in the activity toolbar (actionbar) as per the [material design guidelines.][1]

On clicking on the search icon, the entire toolbar animates to have only the search EditText with white background with suggestions appearing in the main view instead of a drop down.

Implementing SearchView as per the material design guidelines

I&#39;m using the latest version of the `com.google.android.material:material` library (i.e. `1.1.0-alpha03`) and I have a `MaterialButton` defined with an icon and no text as follows:

I was hoping the `MaterialButton` would be rendered as a square with the icon centred within it but instead the `MaterialButton` is rendered as follows:

This is a slight improvement to the positioning of the icon but the icon is still a little off centre. If I change the `insetLeft`, `insetRight`, `insetTop` and `insetBottom` values to `0dp` the `MaterialButton` is rendered as follows:
