Then, I plugged a card reader that has 4 drives. Nothing showed up!
So, the answer to your question is NOTHING! You are just unable to add more. 
Of cource you can use [volume mounting][1] as suggested above

It depends on your operating system. Some older versions of windows supported up to 32 drives (mapped to things like `[:` and ``` `:```), but more recent versions do not.

On a modern Windows machine, if you require more than 26 drives, the correct solution is to use [Volume Mount Points](http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc938934.aspx)

Personally, I&#39;ve always concatenated my strings, because I use [UEStudio][1], and it highlights PHP variables with a different color when concatenated. However, when the variable is not broken out, it does not. It just makes it easier for my eyes to find PHP variables in long strings, etc.

Should I use curly brackets or concatenate variables within strings?

I&#39;m having an issue with multiline text blocks where it is not center aligning properly

The text is coming like
&lt;pre&gt;
abcde\nabc
&lt;/pre&gt;

This comes out
&lt;pre&gt;
  abcde
  abc
&lt;/pre&gt;

What I want is
&lt;pre&gt;
  abcde
   abc
&lt;/pre&gt;

This seems a simple thing and I would have thought that the textblock would center align like that automatically but it does not seem to.

I run sed to do some substitution on windows and I noticed that it automatically converts line endings to Unix (\n). Is there an option to tell sed to use Windows line endings (\r\n) or even better to preserve the line endings from the file?

Note: I use sed from unxutils: http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/

Whenever I tried to copy 4 files into my bin folder, after stopping the main service, I am getting an error with one file (TexteDll). The error is:

    Cannot copy TexteDll: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file 
    with a user-mapped section open

It may be due to some system locking. Or perhaps another process is using this DLL. When I googled, I found that rebooting the system may resolve this.

Can anybody suggest a cause or solution for this? I inspected the properties of TexteDll (general, version, security, etc). Everything appears normal.

I want to create a application which gets the word under the cursor (not only for text fields), but I can&#39;t find how to do that. Using OCR is pretty hard. The only thing I&#39;ve seen working is the Deskperience components. They support a &#39;native&#39; way, but I they cost a lot. Now I&#39;m trying to figure out what is this &#39;native&#39; way (maybe somehow of hooking). Any help will be appreciated.

**I need to know where JDK is located on my machine.** 

On running `Java -version` in **cmd**, it shows the version as &#39;1.6.xx&#39;.
To find the location of this SDK on my machine I tried using `echo %JAVA_HOME%` but it is only showing &#39;JAVA_HOME&#39; (as there is no &#39;JAVA_PATH&#39; var set in my environment variables).

I need some help in writing a batch file.
I have a path stored in a variable root as follows:

    set root=D:\Work\Root

Then I am changing my working directory to this root as follows:

    cd %root%

When I execute this batch file from anywhere on the D drive this is done successfully. But when I execute the same batch file from some other drive, cd %root% doesn&#39;t work.

Is there a way I can get the drive letter from the root variable? I can then change the current directory to this drive first and then cd %root% shall work.

How can a team of four people use Git (specifically [Github for Windows][1]) to push local changes to a shared network drive? 

Right now (without Git) we have to copy the files from the network drive to our local machine, edit the files, and then re-upload them to the shared network drive. This is a painstaking process that can lead to lots of errors, but it seems like something Git could help us with.

Can we simply install Git on the shared drive and go from there?

Here is my own program folder on my USB drive:

             etc.

I would like to use `run.bat` to start  `Iris.exe`

I cannot use this: `F:/Program/bin/Iris.exe` like a shortcut, because sometimes it does not attach as drive `F:` (_e.g._ `E:` or `G:`)

What do I need to write in the bat file to work regardless of the drive letter?

I tried this in the BAT file:

Using Windows 2008 R2. On our server we get this error: &quot;Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. However, there are no open Explorer windows to the remote computer, and nothing shows on the remote computer when I do a &quot;net use&quot;.

It appears that I get the error if I specify a username and password. If I just put in:

     net use n: \\192.168.10.120\test 

it works, but if I put in

it gives the error. Why would that be?
