Basically, they added support for a new attribute on the file input element &quot;webkitdirectory&quot;. You can use it like this:

`&lt;input type=&quot;file&quot; id=&quot;ctrl&quot; webkitdirectory directory multiple/&gt;`

It allows you to select directories. The multiple attribute is a good fallback for browsers that support multiple file selection but not directory selection.

When you select a directory the files are available through the dom object for the control (document.getElementById(&#39;ctrl&#39;)), just like they are with the multiple attribute. The browsers adds all files in the selected directory to that list recursively.

You can already add the directory attribute as well in case this gets standardized at some point (couldn&#39;t find any info regarding that)

You&#39;re most likely looking at using a flash/silverlight/activeX control. The `&lt;input type=&quot;file&quot; /&gt;` control doesn&#39;t handle that.

If you don&#39;t mind the user selecting a file as a means to getting its directory, you may be able to bind to that control&#39;s `change` event then strip the filename portion and save the path somewhere--but that&#39;s about as good as it gets.

Keep in mind that webpages are designed to interact with servers. Nothing about providing a local directory to a remote server is &quot;typical&quot; (a server can&#39;t access it so why ask for it?); however files are a means to selectively passing information.

I have a `UICollectionView` with a FLowLayout. It will work as I expect most of the time, but every now and then one of the cells does not wrap properly. For example, the the cell that should be on in the first &quot;column&quot; of the third row if actually trailing in the second row and there is just an empty space where it should be (see diagram below). All you can see of this rouge cell is the left hand side (the rest is cut off) and the place it should be is empty.

This does not happen consistently; it is not always the same row. Once it has happened, I can scroll up and then back and the cell will have fixed itself. Or, when I press the cell (which takes me to the next view via a push) and then pop back, I will see the cell in the incorrect position and then it will jump to the correct position.

The scroll speed seems to make it easier to reproduce the problem. When I scroll slowly, I can still see the cell in the wrong position every now and then, but then it will jump to the correct position straight away.

The problem started when I added the sections insets. Previously, I had the cells almost flush against the collection bounds (little, or no insets) and I did not notice the problem. But this meant the right and left of the collection view was empty. Ie, could not scroll. Also, the scroll bar was not flush to the right.

I can make the problem happen on both Simulator and on an iPad 3.

I guess the problem is happening because of the left and right section insets... But if the value is wrong, then I would expect the behavior to be consistent. I wonder if this might be a bug with Apple? Or perhaps this is due to a build up of the insets or something similar.

HTML5 UI Frameworks

I am using Angular.js for an application that uses hidden trs to simulate a sliding out effect by showing the tr and sliding down the div in the td below. This process worked fantastically using knockout.js when iterating over an array of these rows, because I could use `&lt;!-- ko:foreach --&gt;` around both tr elements.

With angular, `ng-repeat` must be applied to an html element, meaning I cannot seem to repeat these double rows using standard methods. My first response to this was to create a directive to represent these double trs, but that fell short because directive templates must have a single root element, but I have two (`&lt;tr&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;&lt;tr&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;`).

If anyone with experience with ng-repeat and angular who has cracked this can explain how to solve this problem, I would be greatly appreciative.

(I should also note that attaching `ng-repeat` to the tbody is an option, but this produces multiple tbodys, and I am assuming that is bad form for standard HTML, although correct me if I&#39;m wrong)

I&#39;m attempting map HTML into JSON with structure intact. Are there any libraries out there that do this or will I need to write my own? I suppose if there are no html2json libraries out there I could take an xml2json library as a start. After all, html is only a variant of xml anyway right?

**UPDATE:** Okay, I should probably give an example. What I&#39;m trying to do is the following. Parse a string of html:

1. Fstream buffering:

I expected the same result...

But my manual buffering improve performance by a factor of 10 to write a file of 100MB, and the fstream buffering does not change anything compared to the normal situation (without redefining a buffer).

Does someone has an explanation of this situation ?

std::fstream buffering vs manual buffering (why 10x gain with manual buffering)?

    Folder1/
        -fileA.txt
        -fileB.txt
        -fileC.txt

    &gt; mkdir Folder2/

    &gt; [copy command]

And now `Folder2/` looks like:

    Folder2/
        -fileA.txt
        -fileB.txt
        -fileC.txt   

How to make this happen? I have tried `cp -r Folder1/ Folder2/` but I ended up with:

    Folder2/
        Folder1/
            -fileA.txt
            -fileB.txt
            -fileC.txt

Which is close but not exactly what I wanted.

Unix - copy contents of one directory to another

I have a file that is constantly being written to/updated. I want to find the last line containing a particular word, then print the last column of that line.

The file looks something like this. More A1/B1/C1 lines will be appended to it over time.

    A1 123 456
    B1 234 567
    C1 345 678
    A1 098 766
    B1 987 6545
    C1 876 5434

I tried to use

    tail -f file | grep A1 | awk &#39;{print $NF}&#39;

to print the value 766, but nothing is output.

Is there a way to do this?

Printing the last column of a line in a file

In my CMake script I want to see if I have a file on my system, and if it is there do something with it, otherwise do something with a default file. Here is the code:

I&#39;m having a problem with deleting empty directories. Here is my code:

    for dirpath, dirnames, filenames in os.walk(dir_to_search):

The argument `dir_to_search` is where I&#39;m passing the directory where the work needs to be done. That directory looks like this:

    test/20/...
    test/22/...
    test/25/...
    test/26/...

Note that all the above folders are empty. When I run this script the folders `20`,`25` alone gets deleted! But the folders `25` and `26` aren&#39;t deleted, even though they are empty folders.
