I am working on an iGoogle-like application. Content from other applications (on other domains) is shown using iframes. 

How do I resize the iframes to fit the height of the iframes&#39; content?

I&#39;ve tried to decipher the javascript Google uses but it&#39;s obfuscated, and searching the web has been fruitless so far.

Resizing an iframe based on content

I am storing a number of HTML blocks inside a CMS for reasons of easier maintenance. They are represented by `&lt;textarea&gt;`s.

Does anybody know a JavaScript Widget of some sort that can do syntax highlighting for HTML within a `textarea` or similar, while still staying a plain text editor (no WYSIWYG or advanced functions)?

`convertFrom`, includes a TextField. When I tap on this text field, the Android keyboard appears on the screen. This changes the screen size, so the widgets resize like this:

Is there a way to have the keyboard &quot;overlay&quot; the screen so that my Column doesn&#39;t resize? If I don&#39;t use `Expanded` widgets and hardcode a height for each widget, the widgets don&#39;t resize, but I get the black-and-yellow striped error when the keyboard appears (because there isn&#39;t enough space). This also isn&#39;t flexible for all screen sizes.

I&#39;m not sure if this is an Android-specific or Flutter-specific.

When the keyboard appears, the Flutter widgets resize. How to prevent this?

I&#39;d like to know how to center the contents of a Text widget vertically and horizontally in Flutter.
I only know how to center the widget itself using `Center(child: Text(&quot;test&quot;))` but not the content itself. By default, it&#39;s aligned to the left. In Android, I believe the property of a TextView that achieves this is called `gravity`.

How do I center text vertically and horizontally in Flutter?

I have an activity with a `RecyclerView` and an `ImageView`. I am using the `RecyclerView` to show a list of images horizontally. When I click on an image in the `RecyclerView` the `ImageView` in the activity should show a bigger picture of the image. So far everything works fine.

Now there are two more `ImageButtons` in the activity: `imageButton_left` and `imageButton_right`. When I click on `imageButton_left`, the image in the `ImageView` should turn left and also, the thumbnail in the `RecyclerView` should reflect this change. Similar is the case with `imageButton_right`.

I am able to rotate the `ImageView`. But, how can I rotate the thumbnail in the `RecyclerView`? How can I get the `ViewHolder`&#39;s `ImageView`?

RecyclerView - Get view at particular position

I don&#39;t understand how `LayoutBuilder` is used to get the height of a Widget. 

I need to display the list of Widgets and get their height so I can compute some special scroll effects. I am developing a package and other developers provide widget (I don&#39;t control them). I read that LayoutBuilder can be used to get height. 

In very simple case, I tried to wrap Widget in LayoutBuilder.builder and put it in the Stack, but I always get `minHeight` `0.0`, and `maxHeight` `INFINITY`. Am I misusing the LayoutBuilder?

**EDIT**: It seems that LayoutBuilder is a no go. I found the [CustomSingleChildLayout][1] which is almost a solution. 

I extended that delegate, and I was able to get the height of widget in `getPositionForChild(Size size, Size childSize)` method. BUT, the first method that is called is `Size getSize(BoxConstraints constraints)` and as constraints, I get 0 to INFINITY because I&#39;m laying these CustomSingleChildLayouts in a ListView.

My problem is that SingleChildLayoutDelegate `getSize` operates like it needs to return the height of a view. I don&#39;t know the height of a child at that moment. I can only return constraints.smallest (which is 0, the height is 0), or constraints.biggest which is infinity and crashes the app.

In the docs it even says: 

&gt; ...but the size of the parent cannot depend on the size of the child.

And that&#39;s a weird limitation.

How to get height of a Widget?

I was wondering if there is an easy way to strike text within an app widget in Android. In a normal activity, it is pretty easy, using textview flags:

    textView.setPaintFlags(textView.getPaintFlags() | Paint.STRIKE_THRU_TEXT_FLAG);

But since in an app widget, I can use only remoteviews... I do not know if this is possible

Anyone know something about this?

I am using the Facebook like box code in my [side bar][1] by pasting the Facebook code into a text widget. My theme is responsive, and I&#39;d like to get the like box to resize correctly. How to make the Facebook Like Box responsive?

I would like to create a custom widget in Qt with the following features:

 - It is a container
 - It may be populated with any Qt layout
 - It may be inside any Qt layout
 - A button allows to collapse/fold vertically the content, so only the button is visible, all the contained layout is invisible.
 - The previous button allows to expand/unfold it again to the size of the layout content.
 - The expanding/collapsing is based on sizes (not on show/hide) to allows animation.
 - Usable in QDesigner

I already have a frame that work correctly and is exposed in QDesigner. I need now to make it to extend/collapse, which does not seem so simple.

I tried to play with resize(), sizePolicy(), sizeHint() but that does not work:
When the frame is collapsed I got following values:

    sizeHint: (500,20)
    size    : (500,20)
    closestAcceptableSize: (518,150)
    Painted size: (518, 150)

QLayout::closestAcceptableSize is not part of the widget so I cannot change it.

**Any hint or/and code snippet to achieve that?**

I needed to add DropdownButton with full width with adjust dropdown arrow icon in Flutter as well. But with many tried it in many ways but it doesn&#39;t expand its width full.

I&#39;m developing a javascript widget that depends on jQuery.  The widget may or may not be loaded onto a page that already has jQuery loaded.  There are many problems that come up in this case...

1. If the web page does not have jQuery, I must load my own jQuery.  There seems to be a delicate timing issue when doing this, however.  For example, if my widget loads and executes before jQuery is finished loading and executing, I get a `jQuery is not defined` error.

2. If the web page does have jQuery, I can usually work with it.  If the jQuery version is old, however, I would like to load my own.  If I do load my own, however, I need to do it in such a way as to not stomp on their `$` variable.  If I set `jQuery.noConflict()` and any of their scripts depend on `$`, then I have just broken their page.

3. If the web page uses another javascript library (e.g. prototype), I needed to be sensitive of prototype&#39;s `$` variable also.

Because of all of the above, it is seeming easier to not depend on jQuery.  But before I go down that road, which will involve mostly rewriting my widget code, I wanted to ask for advice first.

Is there an easy way to create expandable/collapsible blocks like seen in official market app?

I know of [SlidingDrawer][2] but it doesn&#39;t seem to be suited for stuff like this--it&#39;s supposed to be put in overlay, and doesn&#39;t support half-open states.

Here&#39;s my half-working solution. It&#39;s a custom widget that extends `LinearLayout`. It kind-of works, but doesn&#39;t handle edge cases well, like content height smaller than `collapsedHeight` parameter. I&#39;m sure with enough staring, digging in code and experimenting the quirks could be fixed. Was hoping to avoid doing that, and save some time by using a ready-made official or 3rd party solution. How to implement expandable panels in Android?

I have a `Text widget` on pressing which another `Route` has to be shown. But I could not see any onPressed() method for the `Text widget`. Please Help.

I have a div whose content may change in various ways: for instance its whole content may be reloaded via innerHTML, or nodes may be added via DOM methods. This in turn may happen via native Javascript or indirectly via calls the jQuery API or via other libraries.

I want to execute some code when the content of the div changes, but I have **absolutely no control** on *how* it will change. Indeed I am designing a widget that may be used by other people, who are free to change the content of their divs the way they prefer. When the inner content of this div changes, the shape of the widget may have to be updated as well.

I&#39;m using jQuery. Is there a way to capture the event that the content of this div has changed, however it happened?

I&#39;m writing a web application that&#39;s supposed to be embedded in other people&#39;s websites (kind of a widget). I&#39;m using Google Analytics to track all the people that visit all instances of my script on the embedding websites. The problem is that I don&#39;t know how to use it so that it doesn&#39;t interfere with those websites&#39; own Google Analytics accounts. I&#39;m storing the tracker variable in a namespace, so I thought that should do it, but I haven&#39;t realized that GA stores its settings in cookies (__utma, __utmz etc.), and those cookies are used by both trackers, if there are two of them on the same page... So for example if I use _setVar to store some kind of user-defined variable in Google Analytics, and the embedding site does the same, we overwrite each other&#39;s values...

Of course it would be easiest if Google provided a way to change the name of the cookies to a custom one, but I can&#39;t find any way to do it. I thought about using cookie domain or path to force a separate cookie, but this doesn&#39;t work, because if I set domain or path to something other than the real domain/path, then the cookie is not readable for the page after reload...

Does anyone know a way to have two trackers on one page and make them use separate cookies so that they don&#39;t overwrite each other&#39;s settings?

Or, if that&#39;s completely impossible - is there any other analytics service with similar functionality as GA in which this is possible? (it would have to have advanced features like event and campaign tracking...)

I have to develop a widget that will be used by a third party site. This is not an application to be deployed in a social networking site. I can give the site guys a link to be used as the src of an iframe or I can develop it as a JavaScript request. 

Can someone please tell me the trade offs between the 2 approaches(IFrame versus JS)?

I created a widget that when clicked activates a PendingIntent.  The problem is when I have more than one widget on the screen only the latest one will start the PendingIntent.  

I have read some about a unique request code, but not figured this out. 

Any ideas how I can have multiple widgets and the PendingIntents work for each?

Multiple Instances of Pending Intent

I am developing a widget with an image on the rigth side, which can be choosen by the user in one of the settings screen.
The image can then be set from the user with the ImageView.setScaleType(&quot;CENTER&quot;). That works.
The URL of the image is then stored in the preferences as URL, and also as Base64 encoded String of the Bitmap (cause I want to shrink the image and the user can rotate it in the settings)

In the widget, I load the image. That works fine. With the URI and with the Bitmap too.
The ScaleType of the ImageView is set as well to a fixed value in the Layout, works too.

**But how can I define the ScaleType of the ImageView in the widget programmatically?
Cause I want to set the ScaleType to the value, the user has choosen in the settings. With RemoteViews, we cannot get the ImageView...**

I tried:

How to get the time from a Chronometer? I tried getText, getFormat, getBase, etc, but none of them could work.

I tried using `ent.delete(0, END)`, but I got an error saying that strings don&#39;t have the attribute _delete_.
