My form has properties like url, title, etc and I am trying to access them here to use it in the field widget block.

I want to access that url for instance but can&#39;t seem to be able to do it after many variations. Including use of {{ value }}, {{ value.url }}
But inspite of vars, I can do {{ full_name }} and get panasonic_testetavisbundle_producttype.

Any ideas?

**Edit3:** Seeing that this question is quite popular I decided to clarify on what I attempted to do in case it helps someone in the same situation. If you rely strictly on what the question asks, as I stated from my research and that Besnik supported are indeed correct. 
Now what I wanted to do is for every input type file, get url from object used to render form and append a preview link, using retrieved url, beside the input type file. 
If you try to get the form var of an input type &quot;file&quot; like this &quot;{{ form.vars.value.url }}&quot; in my code, this doesn&#39;t work since, if I recall correctly, you receive a token instead of the url stored inside the object.

Is there a generally &quot;good&quot; way to achieve this functionality? I have read about the &#39;use&#39; tag, which seems like the best option so far, but I still don&#39;t like that it wont let me bring in any outside html, only blocks.

Overriding blocks within included Twig templates

I am working on a PHP project using Symfony2 with Twig templating, and I can&#39;t find a solution for this problem.

I have an admin bundle and all the templates extend from admin base which has a master template with a menu.

I need to set the current tab of the menu in the base template of the page to selected when the user is on that page. 

Is there any way to pass parameter to the base template through [extends][1]?

**Edit:** After further investigation, it appears the attribute (see http://twig.sensiolabs.org/doc/functions/attribute.html) function should do the job but I am unsure as to how to use it in these circumstances.

I am using [Twig][1] as templating engine and I am really loving it. However, now I have run in a situation which definitely mustbe accomplishable in a simpler way than I have found.

What I have right now is this:

		    {% if id == myVar %}
			    {{ myVar }} exists within someOtherArray.
			    {% set found = 1 %}

	    {% endif %}
    {% endfor %}


What I am looking for is something more like this:

    {% for myVar in someArray %}

           {{ myVar }} doesn&#39;t exist within someOtherArray.
        {% endif %}

View layer pattern where you only present what you have been given is fine and all, but how do you know what is available? Is there a &quot;list all defined variables&quot; functionality in TWIG? *Is there a way to dump a variable?*

The solution I found by searching for it was to define a function where I can use my [existing php debug tools][1] by [injecting a function][2], but all references I have found to that includes these nice two lines of code, but nowhere is it specified where to place them. Going by the fact that they need a **$loader** variable defined, I tried /app/config/autoload.php but the $loader there was the wrong kind. *Where do I place the php code for adding a twig function?*

It seems like embedding a controller in my **app/Resources/views/base.html.twig** is the best way to do this http://symfony.com/doc/current/book/templating.html#embedding-controllers

So I wrote my controller to access the user profile data. What I can&#39;t figure out is how to access FOS methods in my embedded controller. So from my **Acme/UserBundle/Controller/UserController.php** I want to do this:

Accessing the logged-in user in a template

In PHP we can check if a key exists in an array by using the function `array_key_exists()`.

In the Twig templating language we can check if an variable or an object&#39;s property exists simply by using an `if` statement, like this:

    {% if app.user %}
    do something here
    {% else %}
    do something else
    {% endif %}

But how do we check if a key of an *array* exists using Twig? I tried `{% if array.key %}`, but it gives me an error:

    Key &quot;key&quot; for array with keys &quot;0, 1, 2, 3...648&quot; does not exist

As one of the primary ways of passing data into a template is using arrays, it seems like there should be some way of doing this. Any thoughts?

Some products do not have this code and unfortunately this data structure is provided via a feed, so I cannot change it.

I can&#39;t find a way to have TWIG interpret the following conditional statement:

    {% if a == true or b == true %}
    do stuff
    {% endif %}

I am looking to count the number of entries I have in an array in Twig. This is the code I&#39;ve tried:

    {%for nc in notcount%}
    {{ nc|length }}
    {%endfor%}

This however only produces the length of the string of one of the values in the array.

`{{nc}}` will produce an output of all the values of the array (there are 2) but I want the output to be just the number 2 (the count) and not all the information in the array.

I wanted to render fields by hand but it doesn&#39;t work because my field yet rendered by me is displayed with the `form_rest()` function too, so I have two same fields.

What does the hyphen in `-%}` mean? It works fine without the hyphen and I could not find anything similar in the Twig documentation.

I have an application with Symfony2 (2.2). When I want to send a mail, I&#39;m having trouble with the paths, which are all relative paths and obviously aren&#39;t working inside emails

for rendering the paths I&#39;m using:

and for assets:

The previous examples work fine but the paths are relative therefore I need to append the domain. I can do something like:

but this is not the best solution for my problem, as I have different domains.

Check if variable is string or array in Twig

I&#39;m doing a program using Slim 2 that uses Twig as my templating engine. so It uses the syntax `{{ foo }}` in php file. On the other hand, I&#39;m using vue.js, it also uses `{{ bar }}`. 

E.g.

I&#39;m gonna do the two way binding, below is my html code.

Which it did not worked, probably the system thought it&#39;s a twig variable. So I checked by passing variable in a view.

    $app-&gt;get(&#39;/&#39;, function() use ($app) {
        $app-&gt;render(&#39;login.php&#39;, [
            &#39;foo&#39; =&gt; &#39;FROM PHP FILE&#39;
        ]);
    })-&gt;name(&#39;login&#39;);

So I checked, the Label Value: shows the variable that I passed from the PHP file not on the VUE code.

Kind of hard to explain but you get the point. Was wondering how to bypass twig&#39;s template and use the `{{  }}` from vue also.

I would like to define a id attribute on my symfony2 forms.

I&#39;ve tried with this in my twig template:

In Twig template I check if a field has an error like this:

Is there any method like:

    {% if form.points.hasErrors() %}

to do it simpler? It&#39;s not a big difference, but if I can&#39;t do it easier why not.
