The right-click context menus of the source editor, the project items and the solution item, is getting ridiculously long, and two of them even have scrolling now on my 1680x1050 screen.

Is there any way for me to hide items on these menus, even if I have to add an event to my Visual Studio macro-system and find and hide them manually?

**Edit1:** The current answer + comments suggest I should use the Customize menu item in the toolbar context menus, go to the second tab, Commands, and use the Context Menus radio selection and find the relevant menus there.

As you can see, they&#39;re all empty.

**Edit2:** After clicking the &quot;Reset All&quot; button in that dialog, for the Solution and Project menus, I got items in the dialog, that I could edit, but the changes did not affect the actual context menu on either a project or the solution file. Also, after restarting Visual Studio, the dialog contents for those two were again empty.

Hide items in the right-click context menus in Visual Studio 2010 (08)?

I am trying to write a google chrome extension where I use a contextmenu. This contextmenu is available on editable elements only (input texts for example). When the contextmenu is clicked and executed I would like to retrieve in the callback function the element (the input text) on which the contextmenu has been executed in order to update the value associated to this input text.

Here is the skeleton of my extension:

Does someone knows a workaround: without jquery and/or with jquery?

Somehow they override the browser&#39;s behavior of drop-down menu, and I&#39;m now sure exactly how they do it.  - How does this work? Is the browser&#39;s drop-down menu actually being overridden, or is the effect just simulated? If so, how?

Making custom right-click context menus for my web-app

I have a datagridview in a .NET winform app. I would like to rightclick on a row and have a menu pop up. Then i would like to select things such as copy, validate, etc

How do i make A) a menu pop up B) find which row was right clicked. I know i could use selectedIndex but i should be able to right click without changing what is selected? right now i could use selected index but if there is a way to get the data without changing what is selected then that would be useful.

I have found out how to add right-click context menu items to files on Windows Explorer, by adding keys to the registry. I.e. I can right-click on a file in Explorer and run a custom app against that file.

I would like to do the same for a folder and have not found a way to do that (yet). I see articles on creating/writing custom context menu handlers, but I would rather not go there.

I&#39;ve seen an example somewhere online showing how to customise the appearance of jstree&#39;s right-click context menu (using contextmenu plugin). 

For example, allow my users to delete &quot;documents&quot; but not &quot;folders&quot; (by hiding the &quot;delete&quot; option from the context menu for folders).

Now I can&#39;t find that example. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The official [documentation][1] didn&#39;t really help.

How can I find out which node in a tree list the context menu has been activated? For instance right-clicking a node and selecting an option from the menu.

I&#39;m currently trying to adapt my application to use the &quot;Compatibility Libraries for Android v4&quot; to provide the benefits of the usage of fragments even to Android 1.6 users.

The implementation of a context menu seems to be tricky:

 - The main activity of the application
   is extending the **FragmentActivity**
   class.
 - The fragments are all based on one
   class which extends the Fragment class.
 - The fragment class is calling
   **registerForContextMenu()** in its **onCreateView()** method and overrides the methods
   **onCreateContextMenu()** and **onContextItemSelected()**.

For **onCreateContextMenu()** this works pretty well. The context menu is inflated from a resource file and slightly modified based on the selected item (which is based on a listView... even if the fragment is not an ListFragment).

The problem occurs when a context menu entry is selected.
**onContextItemSelected()** is called for all currently existing fragments starting with the first added one.

In my case the fragments are used to show the content of a folder structure. When the context menu of a subfolder fragment is opened and a menu item is selected, **onContextItemSelected()** is first called on the upper levels (depending on how many fragments are allowed/visible in this moment).

Right now, I use a workaround by a field on activity level which holds the tag of last fragment calling its **onCreateContextMenu()**. This way I can call &quot;return super.onContextItemSelected(item)&quot; in the begin of **onContextItemSelected()** when the stored tag is not the same as getTag().
But this approach looks a bit dirty to me.

Why is onContextItemSelected() called on all fragments? and not just one the one that was calling **onCreateContextMenu()**?

What is the most elegant way to handle this?

All of the bindings work great except for the bindings contained within the ContextMenu. They print an error to the Output window during runtime.

ElementName Binding from MenuItem in ContextMenu

I have few columns in my DataGridView, and there is data in my rows. I saw few solutions in here, but I can not combine them!

Simply a way to right-click on a row, it will select the whole row and show a menu with an option to delete the row and when the option selected it will delete the row.

I made few attempts but none is working and it looks messy. What should I do?

I have a [ListView][1] that will allow the user to long-press an item to get a context menu. The problem I&#39;m having is in determining which `ListItem` they long-pressed. I&#39;ve tried doing this:

but it just hangs until an [ANR][2] pops up. I suspect that after the menu is created the `ListItem` is no longer selected.

It looks like you could monitor for clicks or long-clicks then record the clicked item there:

     mArrivalsList.setOnItemLongClickListener(new OnItemLongClickListener() {
      @Override public boolean onItemLongClick(AdapterView&lt;?&gt; parent, View v, int position, long id) {
       // record position/id/whatever here
       return false;
      }
     });

but that feels majorly kludgey to me. Does anyone have any better solutions for this?
