I am using the view `CoordinatorLayout` from `android.support.design`. I want to attach the `app:layout_behavior` to the fragment&#39;s `RecyclerView`?

In the example given by Google, they only attach it in the `RecyclerView` of the same XML file where the `CoordinatorLayout` was attached.

Is there a way to attach `CoordinatorLayout` to the fragment&#39;s `RecyclerView` within the `ViewPager`?

CoordinatorLayout using the ViewPager&#39;s RecyclerView

I am looking to add scroll support to more than just a single, scrollable, child view of `CoordinatorLayout` in conjunction with an `AppBarLayout` and `CollapsingToolbarLayout`. When scrolling the `RecyclerView` or the `AppBarLayout` (condensed code below), the app bar and its contents successfully scroll and collapse. However, when attempting to initiate a scroll event on the `LinearLayout` above the `RecyclerView`, nothing happens because the `LinearLayout` does not know to scroll or collapse the view.

The goal is to have the `LinearLayout` act as a sticky header to the `RecyclerView` and footer to the `AppBarLayout` and receive the same scrolling behavior as the `RecyclerView`, similar to [Spotify&#39;s shuffle play/available offline header][1]. In fact, it would be great if the `appbar_scrolling_view_behavior` `layout_behavior` could be applied to the `LinearLayout` similarly to the `RecyclerView`, but I imagine that the behavior is ignored on non-scrollable views. Is anyone aware of a workaround for this that does not require implementing the `LinearLayout` view as a row in the `RecyclerView`?

Used this layout behaviour for `FloatingActionButton`. 

When I see `logcat` only constructor is getting called. `onNestedScroll()` doesn&#39;t get called when I scroll the list.

Hide FloatingActionButton on scroll of RecyclerView

I guess you have seen the new Android design guidelines, with the new &quot;Floating Action Button&quot; a.k.a &quot;FAB&quot;

For instance this pink button:

My question sounds stupid, and I have already tried a lot of things, but what is the best way to put this button at the intersection of two layouts?

In the above exemple, this button is perfectly placed between what we can imagine to be an ImageView and a relativeLayout.

I have already tried a lot of tweaks, but I am convinced there is a proper way to do it.

How can I add the new &quot;Floating Action Button&quot; between two widgets/layouts

I am using FAB button along with RecyclerView in a Fragment. This Fragment is an instance of a TabViewPager. I am having a issue with the FAB button. I have placed the RecyclerView and the fab button inside a FrameLayout, where the FAB buttton is positioned bottom right. Now the problem that I am facing is the FAB button is not fully visible. Its half of the portion is hidden as shown in the screenshot below. Can any one help me to solve this issue. Thanks in advance.

Floating Action Button not showing fully inside a fragment

I have a `FrameLayout` inside `CoordinatorLayout` to inflate my fragments which contain `RecyclerView`. The thing is, I want to display a progress bar when loading the `RecyclerView`, but the progress bar is always at the top of the screen under the `Toolbar`. I have tried various layouts, setting `gravity` or `centerInParent` but none had worked. So is there any way to achieve this?

I add `Fragment`s into the `FrameLayout`, replacing them. One of my `Fragment`s is a list, which has the following layout:

Background

I&#39;m assigned to make a UI that behaves similarly to how Google Maps shows a bottom-sheet for a found result.

It has three different phases:

1. Bottom content. The upper area is still touchable and won&#39;t scroll anything at the bottom
2. Full-screen content, while the upper area has a large header.
3. Full-screen content, while the upper area has just the toolbar.

The problem

Thing is, the bottom sheet isn&#39;t a part of the design library yet (though it was requested, [**here**][2]).

Not only that, but the UI seems quite complex and needs handling of the toolbar on multiple phases.

What I&#39;ve tried
--

I&#39;ve found a good (enough) library for the bottom sheet ([**here**][3]), and added content to its fragment sample, to have about the same views as shown on material design samples (like [**here**][4]), to have a CollapsingToolbarLayout that will take care of phases 2+3.

In the app I&#39;m making, I also have to move an icon as you scroll, but I think that if I succeed with the rest, this should be easy.

How to mimic Google Maps&#39; bottom-sheet 3 phases behavior?

Just had a look at the demo app of new Android support design library. It&#39;s provided by Chris Banes on [github][1]. Throught the app, `CoordinatorLayout` is used Heavily. Also, many of the support design library classes such as `FloatingActionButton`, `SnackBar`, `AppBarLayout` etc. behaves differently when used inside `CoordinatorLayout`. 

Can someone please shed some lights on what is `CoordinatorLayout` and how it is different from other `ViewGroup`s in android, or at least provide correct path towards learning `CoordinatorLayout`.

What is CoordinatorLayout?

Is it really intended that the Toolbar in a AppBarLayout is scrollable although the main container with the &quot;appbar_scrolling_view_behavior&quot; has not enough content to really scroll?

What I have tested so far:  
When I use a NestedScrollView (with &quot;wrap_content&quot; attribute) as main container and a TextView as child, the AppBarLayout works properly and does not scroll.

However, when I use a RecyclerView with only a few entries and the &quot;wrap_content&quot; attribute (so that there is no need to scroll), the Toolbar in the AppBarLayout is scrollable even though the RecyclerView never receives a scroll event (tested with a OnScrollChangeListener).

Here&#39;s my layout code:

I&#39;ve also found a way to deal with this by checking if all RecyclerView items are visible and using the setNestedScrollingEnabled() method of the RecyclerView.  
Nevertheless, it does seem more like a bug as intended to me. Any opinions? :D

For people who are might be interested in my current solution, I had to put the setNestedScrollingEnabled() logic in the postDelayed() method of a Handler with 5 ms delay due to the LayoutManager which always returned -1 when calling the methods to find out whether the first and the last item is visible.  
I use this code in the onStart() method (after my RecyclerView has been initialized) and every time after a content change of the RecyclerView occurs.

Toolbar in AppBarLayout is scrollable although RecyclerView has not enough content to scroll

This is the app I&#39;m trying to build with all the elements mapped out below:

Everything works, however, I want the inner horizontal recyclerview not to capture any of the vertical scrolls. All vertical scrolls must go towards the outer vertical recyclerview, not the horizontal one, so that the vertical scroll would allow for the toolbar to exit out of view according to it&#39;s scrollFlag.

When I put my finger on the &quot;StrawBerry Plant&quot; part of the recyclerview and scroll up, it scroll out the toolbar:

If I put my finger on the horizontal scrollview and scroll up, it does not scroll out the toolbar at all.

Android Layout: Horizontal Recyclerview inside a Vertical Recyclerview inside a Viewpager with Scroll Behaviors

My app have a viewpager and 4 tabs, each tab have many fragment. But I just want my Toolbar scroll up/down while scrolling recyclerview in 2 specific tabs. But I don&#39;t know how to block Toolbar scroll for other tabs. I tried to import toolbar for each fragment but it seems I can&#39;t do it.
Anyone have idea to solve this problem?

CoordinatorLayout + AppBarLayout + NavigationDrawer

I have a `CoordinatorLayout` which contains `AppBarLayout` and a `FrameLayout` which contains fragments.

One of this fragment contains a `TabLayout` at Top, one List trough `RecyclerView` and at the Bottom one &quot;homemade&quot; toolbar.

The `AppBarLayout` is configured with `app:layout_scrollFlags=&quot;scroll|enterAlways&quot;` 

My problem is that both &quot;toolbars&quot; are hiding when scroll, the AppBarLayout and my &quot;homemade&quot; toolbar at the bottom. This is the current behaviour

I would like to fix the bottom &quot;homemade&quot; toolbar to keep visible but I can&#39;t achieve it.

Fix bottom bar in CoordinatorLayout

I&#39;m using the latest version of android studio (3.0), along with latest build tools (27) and similar API level.

The layout does not get rendered in the design tab and it&#39;s causing a lot of trouble especially that I&#39;m using coordinator layout.

How do I get around this problem?     

Failed to find style &#39;coordinatorLayoutStyle&#39; in current theme

I have an `AppBarLayout` that scrolls off screen when scrolling a `RecyclerView`.
Below the `RecyclerView` there is a `RelativeLayout` that is a footer.

The footer is shown only after scrolling up - it behave like it has 

    layout_scrollFlags=&quot;scroll|enterAlways&quot;
but it doesn&#39;t have any scroll flags - is it a bug or am I doing something wrong? I want it to be always visible

**Update**

opened a [google issue][3] on this - it was marked &#39;WorkingAsIntended&#39; this still doesn&#39;t help because I want a working solution of a footer inside a fragment.

note that if line 34 in `activity.xml` - the line containing `app:layout_behavior=&quot;@string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior&quot;` is commented out the text **end** is visible from the start - otherwise, it is visible only after scrolling up
