I am looking to add scroll support to more than just a single, scrollable, child view of `CoordinatorLayout` in conjunction with an `AppBarLayout` and `CollapsingToolbarLayout`. When scrolling the `RecyclerView` or the `AppBarLayout` (condensed code below), the app bar and its contents successfully scroll and collapse. However, when attempting to initiate a scroll event on the `LinearLayout` above the `RecyclerView`, nothing happens because the `LinearLayout` does not know to scroll or collapse the view.

The goal is to have the `LinearLayout` act as a sticky header to the `RecyclerView` and footer to the `AppBarLayout` and receive the same scrolling behavior as the `RecyclerView`, similar to [Spotify&#39;s shuffle play/available offline header][1]. In fact, it would be great if the `appbar_scrolling_view_behavior` `layout_behavior` could be applied to the `LinearLayout` similarly to the `RecyclerView`, but I imagine that the behavior is ignored on non-scrollable views. Is anyone aware of a workaround for this that does not require implementing the `LinearLayout` view as a row in the `RecyclerView`?

Add app bar scrolling view behavior to multiple views in CoordinatorLayout

I&#39;m working with the CollapsingToolbarLayout from the new Android Design Support Library.

I have set its title and it is working fine, the only problem I still have is that when you scroll, the text is lost, depending on the image in the background. 

What I&#39;d like to do, is set a background to the CollapsingToolbarLayout title, but I haven&#39;t find a way to do it.

Is there anyway to achieve this?

Edit:

Here you can see a sequence of images when I collapse the toolbar. You can see how the title text is not readable. The problem is that I don&#39;t have control of the images that I show, so for some images it looks ok, but for others, like this example, it doesn&#39;t look good at all and it is not readable. What I had in mind was maybe add some kind of background to the text, so there is always the same color at the back of the text and it is always readable.

Programmatically collapse or expand CollapsingToolbarLayout

I&#39;ve tried `setExpandedTitleColor` and `setCollapsedTitleColor` (switching to and from transparent) with no luck.  I can&#39;t see any built in methods that&#39;ll do what I&#39;m looking for, either.

I only want to show the title when the CollapsingToolbarLayout is fully collapsed, otherwise, I need it hidden.

Any hints?

Show CollapsingToolbarLayout title only when collapsed

I am using `CollapsingToolBarLayout` alongside with `AppBarLayout` and `CoordinatorLayout`, and they are working Fine altogether. I set my `Toolbar` to be fixed when I scroll up, I want to know if there is a way to change the title text of the Toolbar, when **`CollapsingToolBarLayout`** it is collapsed. 

Wrapping up, I want two different **titles** when _scrolled_ and when _expanded_.

Background

I&#39;m assigned to make a UI that behaves similarly to how Google Maps shows a bottom-sheet for a found result.

It has three different phases:

1. Bottom content. The upper area is still touchable and won&#39;t scroll anything at the bottom
2. Full-screen content, while the upper area has a large header.
3. Full-screen content, while the upper area has just the toolbar.

The problem

Thing is, the bottom sheet isn&#39;t a part of the design library yet (though it was requested, [**here**][2]).

Not only that, but the UI seems quite complex and needs handling of the toolbar on multiple phases.

What I&#39;ve tried
--

I&#39;ve found a good (enough) library for the bottom sheet ([**here**][3]), and added content to its fragment sample, to have about the same views as shown on material design samples (like [**here**][4]), to have a CollapsingToolbarLayout that will take care of phases 2+3.

In the app I&#39;m making, I also have to move an icon as you scroll, but I think that if I succeed with the rest, this should be easy.

I have created a simple **CollapsingToolbarLayout** and it works like a charm. My problem is, that if I try to use a fling scroll on the **nestedscrollview**, it just stops when I release my finger. Normal scrolling works like it should.

My activities code is ***unchanged =&gt; auto*** generated empty activity. (I just clicked on create new empty activity in android studio and edited the XML yet).

I read here, that scroll gestures on the imageview itself are buggy, but not, that the scrolling itself is buggy: [see here](https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=176673).

I tried activating ***&quot;smooth scrolling&quot;*** through java code. It seems like if I scroll far enough that the imageview isn&#39;t visible anymore, fling gestures then are recognized. 

**TLDR:** Why does the fling gesture not work as long as the imageview is visible ?

How to change CollapsingToolbarLayout typeface and size?

Using **[this tutorial][1]** to implement a Flexible Space pattern (the one with the collapsing toolbar).

I&#39;m trying to achieve a similar effect as in the **Lollipop Contacts activity**, which at the beginning while entering the activity, views are only part of the image header:

Then, the user can scroll down the layout below the image in order to reveal more of it, until it reaches the maximum:

In my app, I can&#39;t manage to make it work. 

What happens is that when entering the activity, the image header is presented at it&#39;s **maximum size, the size of the AppBarLayout, just as the layout above, and unlike in the Lollipop Contacts activity**, where it shows only part of the image.

This is the code that sets the height of the AppBarLayout (I want width of screen to be the maximum height):

Note: If I manually scrolls down, the RecyclerView goes down and revealing more of the image, it just won&#39;t work through code. 

I think scrollToPosition isn&#39;t the solution, does anyone have any idea?

Thought about using enterAlwaysCollapsed flag perhaps as [mentioned here][4] in the CoordinatorLayout and Appbar section with minHeight:

&gt; enterAlwaysCollapsed: When your view has declared a minHeight and you
&gt; use this flag, your View will only enter at its minimum height (i.e.,
&gt; ‘collapsed’), only re-expanding to its full height when the scrolling
&gt; view has reached its top.

So, I set scroll|enterAlwaysCollapsed flag to my toolbar and minHeight in my RecyclerView, which didn&#39;t work. Then I tried moving the minHeight to other layouts such as AppBarLayout, nothing worked. It just shrank the image sometimes without the whole view.

Android: CollapsingToolbarLayout and SwipeRefreshLayout get stuck

I try to add the same functionality as shown on many apps, where the upper area of the screen shrinks&amp;expands according to the scrolled content.

For this, I use Google&#39;s design library, as shown on [**the CheeseSquare sample**][1].

The problem
--
Thing is, no matter how much content there is in the NestedScrollView , it lets me scroll way below the last view of the content, just to let me see the final state of the actionbar, having the minimal size of itself.

In short, this is what I see when scrolling to the bottom (modified content of CheeseSquare sample):

I&#39;m also trying to fix a bug on [**ThreePhasesBottomSheet**][4] sample that scrolling in the bottom sheet content is possible even when it&#39;s in peek-state. To reproduce, start scrolling horizontally (which doesn&#39;t do anything, as there is nothing to scroll this way) and then vertically, which would somehow trigger scrolling of the content of the bottom-sheet.

Therefore, I need to disable there the scrolling in &quot;transformView()&quot; method, in the case that &quot;translation&lt;maxTranslation&quot; , and enable otherwise.

This is how it works using normal usage:

I&#39;ve tried the next code too :

    ((AppBarLayout.LayoutParams) collapsingToolbar.getLayoutParams()).setScrollFlags(0);

but this still allowed scrolling of the NestedScrollView itself in the [**CheeseSquare**][1] example, and also allowed flinging in the [**ThreePhasesBottomSheet**][4] sample . 


The questions

 1. What can I do in order to make the scrolling stop when there is no more content to show at the bottom?

 2. In addition, what can be done to disable scrolling of the NestedScrollView in any time I wish ( for the [**ThreePhasesBottomSheet**][4] sample) ? Something like &quot;setEnableScrolling(...)&quot; ? 

   I&#39;ve tried to extend NestedScrollView and also extend from ScrollingViewBehavior, but failed to find what can be done to disable the scrolling.

It&#39;s probably a very simple thing to change, but I can&#39;t find out what...


EDIT: if needed, this is what I currently use for the design&amp;support library

    compile &#39;com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.1.0&#39;
    compile &#39;com.android.support:design:23.1.0&#39;

EDIT: for #2, I&#39;ve found a workaround from within the BottomSheetLayout.java file, to disable all that&#39;s related to the variable &quot;sheetViewOwnsTouch&quot;, as if it&#39;s always set to &quot;false&quot;. This will allow stealing touch events on the bottom sheet. However, this is just a workaround, and only for this case. It also causes some touch events that should have been handled by other views. I still wish to know how to block the scrolling programmatically, and also in the other case of enough-space-to-show-content.

How to disable scrolling of NestedScrollView&amp;CollapsingToolbarLayout, for example when there is no more content below?

I have tried using `Typeface.createFromAsset(getAssets(),&quot;font/myfont.ttf&quot;));`

I know font directory should be in assets but in my case, I have an existing font resource directory so I thought asset manager will read from font resource directory but I was wrong. I am creating Typeface to set custom font for collapsingToolbarLayout.
