We have an old ASP.NET MVC 3 Web Application, building in VS2010, that fails to compile, since last week&#39;s security update.

The problem is that the reference to System.Web.Mvc.dll is broken. 

When I open the solution file on our build machine, where the security update has not run, and open the properties dialog for References-&gt;System.Web.MVC, it looks just fine. 

Path is C:\Program Files\Microsoft ASP.NET\ASP.NET MVC 3\Assemblies\System.Web.Mvc.dll
Version is 3.0.0.0

But when I open the solution file on a dev machine where the security update has run, References-&gt;System.Web.MVC is flagged as missing. If I remove it, and try to add it back using VS2010&#39;s Add Reference dialog, it doesn&#39;t show.

Wandering around the web has led me to suggestions involving updating MVC using NuGet. We didn&#39;t use NuGet, in our VS2010 projects, so that doesn&#39;t seem quite right, for this situation. I tried it anyway, and ended up with half-a-dozen missing references.


When I look at the properties for &quot;C:\Program Files\Microsoft ASP.NET\ASP.NET MVC 3\Assemblies\System.Web.Mvc.dll&quot; in Windows Explorer, on the build machine I see version 3.0.0.0.

When I look at the properties on the dev machine, I see version 3.0.50813.1.

What I need is a way to change the way I build and run so that I can build and run regardless of which of these two DLLs in installed in the .NET 3.0 framework.

Ideas?

What I have tried that didn&#39;t work

First attempt - if the assembly is missing, add it.  I deleted the old missing reference. Then I copied the DLL from the &quot;ASP.NET MVC3\Assemblies&quot; folder, into a folder in my project. Set it as &quot;Copy Always&quot;, and added it as a reference.

With that, the project would compile in VS2010, but when I&#39;d try to precompile the pages with aspnet_compiler, I got warnings:

    (0): warning CS1702: Assuming assembly reference &#39;System.Web.Mvc, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35&#39; matches &#39;System.Web.Mvc, Version=3.0.0.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35&#39;, you may need to supply runtime policy

So far, I&#39;ve been able to manage to avoid understanding runtime policies, but I tried to add this, in the web.config:

My question is - do I still have a problem?  Or will my &lt;bindingRedirect&gt; resolve it, despite the warnings?


System.web.mvc missing

My Node.js script crashes because of a thrown ENOMEM (Out of memory) errnoException when using [spawn][1].

The error:

I&#39;m already using listeners for the `error` and `exit` event, but non of them getting fired in case of this error.

    zbarimg.on(&#39;close&#39;, function(code) { ... });

I am updating my iOS app to replace `UIWebView` with `WKWebView`. However I don&#39;t understand how to achieve the same behavior with `WKWebView`. With `UIWebView` I used `scalesPageToFit` to ensure the web pag was displayed with the same size as the screen size (so as to appear full screen without scrolling).

I found that solution on the web however it does not work :

When I try running my Xcode Project it fails with an error stating that I have duplicate symbols. I looked online where the find these duplicates but have had no luck:

I am trying to make an autocorrect system, and when a user types a word with a capital letter, the autocorrect doesn&#39;t work. In order to fix this, I made a copy of the string typed, applied .lowercaseString, and then compared them. If the string is indeed mistyped, it should correct the word. However then the word that replaces the typed word is all lowercase. So I need to apply .uppercaseString to only the first letter. I originally thought I could use

    nameOfString[0]

but this apparently does not work. How can I get the first letter of the string to uppercase, and then be able to print the full string with the first letter capitalized?

I made a new view controller in Storyboard and made a new .Swift file that inherits `UIViewController`. However, my `viewDidLoad()` is not being called.

What do I need to do to connect my view controller in my story board to my .swift code so `viewDidLoad()` is called?

However, in a default project, FirstViewController(storyboard) doesn&#39;t have FirstViewController in that box, it is empty, yet `viewDidLoad()` is still called. It doesn&#39;t make sense.

However, what&#39;s the best naming practice for Swift source files containing such extensions? 

In the past, the convention was to use `extendedtype+categoryname.m` for the Objective-C 
type as discussed in [the Objective-C guide][2]. But the Swift example doesn&#39;t have a category name, and calling it `String.swift` doesn&#39;t seem appropriate.

So the question is: given the above `String` extension, what should the swift source file be called?

I have a project that was started in Objective-C, and I am trying to import some Swift code into the same class files that I have previously written Objective-C in.

I have consulted the Apple [docs][1] on using Swift and Objective-C in the same project, as well as SO [question][2] like this, but still no avail: I continue to get the file not found error after putting in `#import &quot;NewTestApp-Swift.h&quot;` (`NewTestApp` is the name of the Product and module).

Here is what I have done so far:

1. In `Define Modules`, selected `YES` for the app.
2. Ensured that the Product Module name did not have any space in it (see screenshot below question)

I have tried using `#import &quot;NewTestApp-Swift.h&quot;` inside `ViewController.m`, `ViewController.h` and `AppDelegate.m` but none of them has worked. 

What else am I doing incorrectly? Thanks for your help.

Importing Project-Swift.h into a Objective-C class...file not found

I have two different targets for my iOS app. Is it possible to run simultaneously the two apps on two different instances of the simulator?
It&#39;s ok if it would require not to benefit of the Xcode&#39;s debugger.
So far the only solution I found was to install two versions of XCode, but that&#39;s a very heavy/space-consuming solution.

I keep getting this error, whenever I try to run my app on my iphone, which is running iOS 8.1.-

I tried restarting my mac and xcode, but problem persists.

I send the user over to a page on a button click. This page is a **UITableViewController**. 

Now if the user taps on a cell, I would like to push him back to the previous page.
