Place the jar file in the libs folder in the root of your module. Then File -&gt; Project Settings. In the left side choose the module where you want to add this lib, in the right side choose tab Dependencies. In the bottom press Plus sign and click File dependency. Then choose your jar and sync project

In Android Studio when you create a new project, you are prompted to put down a domain name.

I already know that you can make one up but what if you want to distribute your app on the Google Play store? Do I need to buy a web domain just to distribute my app even if I will never use my domain?

This works however, if I want to have say a delete button on each row. I am not sure to how to implement that with this.

I attached OnClick listener to delete button which works (deletes the row) but it also fires the onclick on full row.

Can anybody help me in how to avoid full row click if a single button is clicked.

Handle Button click inside a row in RecyclerView

I have a simple app that displays text.

The app starts with a main screen with a few options (ex. an info button that leads to info about the app, a browse button that allows the user to see all the individual pieces of text that can be displayed).  The main button leads to another screen where text is displayed.  By swiping left and right he can see different passages of text.  This is the main purpose of the app.

Currently I have an ActionBar implemented.  My MainActivity.Java extends AppCompatActivity.  Everything in the app is in this activity. 

Now I want to make it so the ActionBar appears only in &quot;Display&quot; mode, not in the start up screen, or &quot;info&quot; / &quot;browse&quot; mode.

**Is it possible to have an ActionBar in one part of the app, and *no* ActionBar in another part of the app? (And keep it all in the same activity?)**

I&#39;ve been trying to accomplish this without avail.  If this is possible, what should I try next?

So far, I&#39;ve attempted the following:

1)  Create this theme

    &lt;style name=&quot;Theme.AppCompat.NoActionBar&quot; parent=&quot;Theme.AppCompat.Light&quot;&gt;

How To Show and hide ActionBar with AppCompat v.7

When I move down,  appear the loading indicator (material design style). I know, it must so work, but I want to disable this function, and start refreshing by click some button and use `SwipeRefreshLayout` loading indicator.

I am following the Artifactory [1-min Setup][1]. I have Artifactory up and running on my localhost, and now I am trying to integrate it with Intellij/Gradle.

The artifactory webapp gives a `gradle.properties` and `build.gradle` file, so I&#39;m trying to start with adding these to my IntelliJ project. However, I don&#39;t know where to put the `gradle.properties` file. 

I tried copying the`gradle.properties` contents (key=value pairs) to `gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties`, unfortunately doing that does not make the keys accessible in the `build.gradle` file. Any ideas?

This is located in res/values/styles/styles.xml in the android-design-library

i have read in [this][1] post that the API lvl should bis 21+. But as the design library supports API 7+, this should not be a problem actually.

It is also worth to mention that i have not included the design library as a gradle-dependency like this:

     compile &#39;com.android.support:design:22.2.0&#39;

I am adding the library manually to the project because the Jenkins server has no Internet access.
I have updated the support-v4 library to 21.2.0
also the appcompat support-v7 is included and updated.

Android XML: RuntimeException: Failed to resolve attribute at index 6

Obviously I need the correct import statment to solve this problem. According to the [docs for `AndroidJUnit4`][1], this should be 

    import android.support.test.runner.AndroidJUnit4;

When I do that, Android Studio highlights `runner` in red and complains &quot;Cannot resolve symbol &#39;runner&#39;&quot;.

**Background**

I got to this point by following the tutorials on the Android Developer site for [setting up tests using UI Automator][3]. The first problem I encountered was that `com.android.support:support-v4:22.2.0` and `com.android.support.test:runner:0.2` depend on different versions of `com.android.support:support-annotations`. I followed the suggestions from [this Android bug report][2] and added the following to `allprojects` in my project&#39;s `build.gradle`:

    configurations.all {
        resolutionStrategy.force &#39;com.android.support:support-annotations:22.1.0&#39;
    }

This solved the immediate error, but I suspect it lead to my current problems. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to fix this?
