No you don&#39;t need to buy a domain name to distribute your app. The domain name is used by Android Studio to generate a package name. Your package name is just a unique identifier for your application in the Google Play Store. It can be anything you want as long as it is unique. Generally, we use  reverse domain names like com.something. or org.something. structure for naming java packages. You can read more about it [here][1].

I have log files coming in to an ELK stack. I want to copy a field (foo) in order to perform various mutations on it, However the field (foo) isn&#39;t always present. 

If foo doesn&#39;t exist, then bar still gets created, but is assigned the literal string `&quot;%{foo}&quot;`

However, suppressing those tick labels leaves a lot of white space between the y axis label (&quot;Within-cluster variance&quot;) and the y axis.  Is there a way to nudge it back over?  If I somehow set the (invisible) tick labels to go *inside* the axis, would the axis label settles along the axis?

This works however, if I want to have say a delete button on each row. I am not sure to how to implement that with this.

I attached OnClick listener to delete button which works (deletes the row) but it also fires the onclick on full row.

Can anybody help me in how to avoid full row click if a single button is clicked.

Handle Button click inside a row in RecyclerView

I have a simple app that displays text.

The app starts with a main screen with a few options (ex. an info button that leads to info about the app, a browse button that allows the user to see all the individual pieces of text that can be displayed).  The main button leads to another screen where text is displayed.  By swiping left and right he can see different passages of text.  This is the main purpose of the app.

Currently I have an ActionBar implemented.  My MainActivity.Java extends AppCompatActivity.  Everything in the app is in this activity. 

Now I want to make it so the ActionBar appears only in &quot;Display&quot; mode, not in the start up screen, or &quot;info&quot; / &quot;browse&quot; mode.

**Is it possible to have an ActionBar in one part of the app, and *no* ActionBar in another part of the app? (And keep it all in the same activity?)**

I&#39;ve been trying to accomplish this without avail.  If this is possible, what should I try next?

So far, I&#39;ve attempted the following:

1)  Create this theme

    &lt;style name=&quot;Theme.AppCompat.NoActionBar&quot; parent=&quot;Theme.AppCompat.Light&quot;&gt;

When I move down,  appear the loading indicator (material design style). I know, it must so work, but I want to disable this function, and start refreshing by click some button and use `SwipeRefreshLayout` loading indicator.

There is not enough info about camera2 face detection mechanism. I used the Camera2 sample from Google: [https://github.com/android/camera-samples][1]

I set face detection mode to FULL.

I&#39;m wondering what&#39;s the difference between Android Instrumentation Tests and Unit tests.&lt;br/&gt;

**As I understand it:**&lt;br/&gt;
*Unit tests* are useful for testing code which doesn&#39;t call the Android
API, and the *Android instrumentation tests* are rather integration
tests to test Android API specific elements or GUI components.
   
However if you use a framework like *Robolectric* or *Mockito* in your
unit tests, you can test Android code (without the need of a device) if I&#39;m not mistaken.

Is this correct, or is there a bigger difference? If so, what&#39;s  the use of each?
