     Displays a list of files and subdirectories in a directory.

      [/O[[:]sortorder]] [/P] [/Q] [/R] [/S] [/T[[:]timefield]] [/W] [/X] [/4]

      [drive:][path][filename]
              Specifies drive, directory, and/or files to list.

      /A          Displays files with specified attributes.
      attributes   D  Directories                R  Read-only files
               H  Hidden files               A  Files ready for archiving
               S  System files               I  Not content indexed files
               L  Reparse Points             -  Prefix meaning not

just set type of desired file attribute, in your case /A:D (directory)


dir /s/b/o:n/A:D &gt; f.txt 

I used `dir /s /b /o:n /a:d`, and it worked perfectly, just make sure you let the file finish writing, or you&#39;ll have an incomplete list.

I don&#39;t have enough reputation to comment on any answer. In one of the comments, someone has asked how to ignore the hidden folders in the list. Below is how you can do this.

    dir /b /AD-H

My objective is to add a vertical scroll bar to a frame which has several labels in it. The scroll bar should automatically enabled as soon as the labels inside the frame exceed the height of the frame. After searching through, I found [this][1] useful post. Based on that post I understand that in order to achieve what i want, (correct me if I am wrong, I am a beginner) I have to create a `Frame` first, then create a `Canvas` inside that frame and stick the scroll bar to that frame as well. After that, create another frame and put it inside the canvas as a window object. So, I finally come up with this:

I have a batch file that I intend to distribute to our customers to run a software task. 

We distribute them as a folder or `.zip` with the files inside. Inside, there is the batch files and another folder with the files needed to run the batch.

Normally, when you make a batch, you type the path where the files are. But I won&#39;t know where the files are. The files will still be kept inside the master folder, but I need to have the batch find that folder to run the files.

So for example: If they have the master folder on the desktop and they run it, it would need to be something like `&quot;C:\Users\Username\Desktop&quot;` to run. You would have the batch CD to that location. 

But what if they run it from documents? I don&#39;t know the username, so I have to somehow have the batch find this. Any code and/or instructions would be great.

I was wondering if any of you know of a way to install Laravel 4 in a web host SUBDIRECTORY / subfolder while not exposing the /app/ folder and other sensible files to the publicly accesible part of the host.

I need to ignore all files under a particular folder except for a specific file type. The folder is a subdirectory for the root path. Let me name the folder `Resources`. Since I don&#39;t want to complicate things, let me ignore files under all folders named **`Resources`** wherever it is.

This is the most common solution (in all the duplicate questions)

    # Ignore everything
    *

    # Don&#39;t ignore directories, so we can recurse into them
    !*/

    # Don&#39;t ignore .gitignore
    !.gitignore

    # Now exclude our type
    !*.foo

The problem with this solution is that **it stops tracking newly added files** (since `*` ignores all files). I don&#39;t want to keep excluding each and every file type. I want normal behaviour where if any new file is added, `git status` shows it. 

I finally got a solution [here][4]. The solution is to add another `.gitignore` file in `Resources` folder. This works correctly. 

Can I achieve the same with one ignore file? I find having many ignore files in different directories a bit clunky.

This is what I&#39;m trying to achieve:

The goal is to organize the */app/models* folder better, but without having to namespace the models.
