I am working with Flask 0.9. 

Now I want to route three urls to the same function:

    /item/&lt;int:appitemid&gt;
    /item/&lt;int:appitemid&gt;/ 
    /item/&lt;int:appitemid&gt;/&lt;anything can be here&gt;

The `&lt;anything can be here&gt;` part will never be used in the function.

I have to copy the same function twice to achieve this goal:

    @app.route(&#39;/item/&lt;int:appitemid&gt;/&#39;)
    def show_item(appitemid):
    
    @app.route(&#39;/item/&lt;int:appitemid&gt;/&lt;path:anythingcanbehere&gt;&#39;)
    def show_item(appitemid, anythingcanbehere):

Will there be a better solution?


Flask URL Route: Route Several URLs to the same function

I am new to Javascript and just started fiddling around with Meteor out of curiosity. What really surprises me, is that it seems that all HTML content gets combined into a single page.

I suspect there is a way to introduce some handling of URLs directing to special pages. It seems that the &quot;todo&quot; example is capable of doing this via some kind of `Router` class. Is that the &quot;canonical&quot; way of URL handling?

Assuming I can handle URLs, how would I structure my HTML code to display separate pages? In my case they could each have completely separate sets of data, so no HTML code needs to be shared at all.

How do I create multi-page applications with Meteor?

I currently have a login popup in my header bar which is on every page in my website.  I want to be able to reload the current page that the person is on after a successful login.  How do I do this in the controller?

I have 2 html pages, `welcome.html` and `login.html` both of which are &quot;inserted&quot; into `index.html` dependending on the URL via an **`ngview` attribute and router provider**, as part of my AngularJS app.

When using ASP.Net routing, how can you get the RouteData from the code-behind?

I know you can get it from the GetHttpHander method of the RouteHandler (you get handed the RequestContext), but can you get this from the code-behind?

Is there anything like...

    RequestContext.Current.RouteData.Values[&quot;whatever&quot;];

...that you can access globally, like you can do with HttpContext?

Or is it that RouteData is only meant to be accessed from inside the RouteHandler?

I am having trouble with Html.ActionLink when I have a route that takes more than one parameter. For example, given the following routes defined in my Global.asax file:

The first two routes work without a problem, but when I try to create an action link to the third route using:

I end up with a URL like **[site-root]/Details/1?slug=url-slug** whereas I would like the URL to be more like **[site-root]/Details/1/url-slug**

ASP.NET MVC URL Routing with Multiple Route Values

I am designing a one page browser based web application. 

`JQuery` is already being used in my application. I am currently planning to use `KnockoutJS` for data-binding and UI management. However I have used `Backbone.js` in past, and I have been quite impressed with the routing facilities provided by the controller layer. 

I have also looked into some JQuery-based solution like [pathjs](https://github.com/mtrpcic/pathjs) for client side routing.

It would be great if someone could offer suggestions and guidelines for choosing a proper routing system.
 
I am not willing to use `Backbone.js` instead of `KnockoutJS` because of the excellent data-binding facilities of `KnockoutJS`.

Multiple path names for a same component in React Router

I have been thinking and I am confused with the routing between Client and Server. Suppose I use ReactJS for server-side rendering before sending the request back to web browser, and use react-router as a client-side routing to switch between pages without refreshing as SPA.

What comes to mind is:

- How are the routes interpreted? For example, a request from Home page (`/home`) to Posts page (`/posts`)
- Where does the routing go, on server-side or client?
- How does it know how it is processed?

React-Router : What is the purpose of IndexRoute?

I currently have an AngularJS application with routing built in.
It works and everything is ok.

My app.js file looks like this:

      config([&#39;$routeProvider&#39;, function ($routeProvider) {

          $routeProvider.when(&#39;/about&#39;, { templateUrl: &#39;/pages/about.html&#39;, controller: AboutController });
          $routeProvider.when(&#39;/privacy&#39;, { templateUrl: &#39;/pages/privacy.html&#39;, controller: AboutController });
          $routeProvider.when(&#39;/terms&#39;, { templateUrl: &#39;/pages/terms.html&#39;, controller: AboutController });

My app has a CMS built in where you can copy and add new html files within the **/pages** directory.

I would like to still go through the routing provider though even for the new dynamically added files.

In an ideal world the routing pattern would be:

$routeProvider.when(&#39;/**pagename**&#39;, { templateUrl: &#39;/pages/**pagename**.html&#39;, controller: CMSController });

So if my new page name was &quot;contact.html&quot; I would like angular to pick up &quot;/contact&quot; and redirect to &quot;/pages/contact.html&quot;.

Is this even possible?! and if so how?!

I now have this in my routing config:

    $routeProvider.when(&#39;/page/:name&#39;, { templateUrl: &#39;/pages/home.html&#39;, controller: CMSController })

and in my CMSController:

    function CMSController($scope, $route, $routeParams) {
        $route.current.templateUrl = &#39;/pages/&#39; + $routeParams.name + &quot;.html&quot;;
        alert($route.current.templateUrl);
    }
    CMSController.$inject = [&#39;$scope&#39;, &#39;$route&#39;, &#39;$routeParams&#39;];

This sets the current templateUrl to the right value.

*However* I would now like to change the *ng-view* with the new templateUrl value. How is this accomplished?

AngularJS dynamic routing

In the [StackOverflow Podcast #54][1], Jeff mentions they register their URL routes in the StackOverflow codebase via an attribute above the method that handles the route. Sounds like a good concept (with the caveat that Phil Haack brought up regarding route priorities).

Could someone provide some sample to make this happen?

Also, any &quot;best practices&quot; for using this style of routing?

Is there a built-in way of getting the full URL of an action?

I am looking for something like `GetFullUrl(&quot;Action&quot;, &quot;Controller&quot;)` that would return something like `http://www.fred.com/Controller/Action`.

The reason I am looking for this is to avoid hardcoding URLs in automated emails that are generated so that the URLs can always be generated relative to the current location of the site.

Say I want to route

    http://domain.tld/static/picture.jpg

to

    http://domain.tld/a/b/c/picture.jpg

and I want to do it dynamically in the sense that the rewritten URL is computed on the fly. I cannot set up a static route once and for all.

Anyway, I can create a route like this:

    routes.Add(

    );

In the `FileRouteHandler.ProcessRequest` method I can rewrite the path from `/static/picture.jpg` to `/a/b/c/picture.jpg`. I then want to create a handler for static files. ASP.NET uses the `StaticFileHandler` for this purpose. Unfortunately, this class is internal. I have tried to create the handler using reflection and it actually works:

    Assembly assembly = Assembly.GetAssembly(typeof(IHttpHandler));
    Type staticFileHandlerType = assembly.GetType(&quot;System.Web.StaticFileHandler&quot;);
    ConstructorInfo constructorInfo = staticFileHandlerType.GetConstructor(BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance, null, Type.EmptyTypes, null);

But using internal types doesn&#39;t seem to be the proper solution. Another option is to implement my own `StaticFileHandler`, but doing so properly (supporting HTTP stuff like ranges and etags) is non-trivial.

I have a route on my Express app that looks like this:

    app.get(&#39;/:id&#39;, function (request, response) {
      …
    });

The ID will always be a number. However, at the moment this route is matching other things, such as `/login`. 

I think I want two things from this: 

1. to only use this route if the ID is a number, and 
2. only if there isn&#39;t a route for that specific paramater already defined (such as the clash with `/login`).

Can this be done?

Express routes parameter conditions

I am using `url_for` to generate a redirect URL when a user has logged out:

    return redirect(url_for(&#39;.index&#39;, _external=True))

However, when I changed the page to a *https* connection, the `url_for` still gives me *http*.

I would like to explicitly ask `url_for` to add *https* at the beginning of a URL.

Can you point me how to change it? I looked at Flask docs, without luck.

I&#39;m having a tough time getting this to work. I have a string like:

    something/([0-9])/([a-z])

And I need regex or a method of getting each match between the parentheses and return an array of matches like:

    [
      [0-9],
      [a-z]
    ]

The regex I&#39;m using is `/$(.+)$/` which does seem to match the right thing **if** there is only **one** set of parenthesis.

How can I get an array like above using any RegExp method in JavaScript? I need to return just that array because the _returned_ items in the array will be looped through to create a URL routing scheme.

I start to look at Node.js. Also I&#39;m using Express.
And I have a question - how can I organize web application routes? All examples just put all this `app.get/post/put()` handlers in app.js and it works just fine. This is good but if I have something more than a simple HW Blog? Is it possible to do something like this:
