I have added event handlers to the `myPopupAnchor` element for the events `MouseEnter` and `MouseLeave`. The two event handlers toggle the popup&#39;s visibility. 

My problem is the position of myPopupAnchor is only read when the popup is first shown, or hidden and then shown again. If the anchor moves, the popup does not.

I&#39;m looking for ways to work around this, I want a moving Popup. Can I notify WPF that the `PlacementTarget` binding has changed and should be read again? Can I manually set the popup&#39;s position?

Currently, I have a very crude workaround that involves closing and then opening the popup again, which causes some repainting issues.

But I have another Activity which is not fullscreen, when the popup opens it&#39;s right-down from where it&#39;s need to be.


Trying to figure out why this happens, I think the showAtLocation shows it&#39;s relative to the current Activity, but I need to show it relative to the display.

How can I do that? Or there&#39;s a simpler way to just the popup just centered?

I&#39;m trying to have an helper class that presents an `UIAlertController`. Since it&#39;s a helper class, I want it to work regardless of the view hierarchy, and with no information about it. I&#39;m able to show the alert, but when it&#39;s being dismissed, the app crashed with:

I am aware of javascript techniques to detect whether a popup is blocked in other browsers (as described in [the answer to this question][1]).  Here&#39;s the basic test:

But this does not work in Chrome.  The &quot;POPUP BLOCKED&quot; section is never reached when the popup is blocked.

Of course, the test is working to an extent since Chrome doesn&#39;t actually block the popup, but opens it in a tiny minimized window at the lower right corner which lists &quot;blocked&quot; popups.

What I would like to do is be able to tell if the popup was blocked by Chrome&#39;s popup blocker.  I try to avoid browser sniffing in favor of feature detection. Is there a way to do this without browser sniffing?

**Edit**: I have now tried making use of `newWin.outerHeight`, `newWin.left`, and other similar properties to accomplish this.  Google Chrome returns all position and height values as 0 when the popup is blocked.

Unfortunately, it also returns the same values even if the popup is actually opened for an unknown amount of time.  After some magical period (a couple of seconds in my testing), the location and size information is returned as the correct values.  In other words, I&#39;m still no closer to figuring this out.  Any help would be appreciated.

I&#39;m trying to over ride the default error message label with a div instead of a label. I have looked at [this post][1] as well and get how to do it but my limitations with CSS are haunting me. How can I display this like some of these examples:

jQuery override default validation error message display (Css) Popup/Tooltip like

I&#39;ve got two controls, a TextBlock and a PopUp. When the user clicks (MouseDown) on the textblock, I want to display the popup. I would think that I could do this with an EventTrigger on the Popup, but I can&#39;t use setters in an EventTrigger, I can only start storyboards. I want to do this strictly in XAML, because the two controls are in a template and I don&#39;t know how I&#39;d find the popup in code.

How to display input errors in popup?
