How to get indeterminate circular indicator for &quot;Scroll up to load more&quot; in a grid RecycleView?

The pattern is described there: http://www.google.com/design/spec/components/progress-activity.html#progress-activity-behavior in &quot;Two-phased loads&quot; and &quot;Example 2: Scroll up to load more&quot; example videos.

I&#39;m trying to accomplish this using the new RecyclerView, but I can&#39;t find a &quot;not-too-hackish&quot; way to do that, firstly because there is not a way to add a footer that cover a full row in the grid. Any suggestions?

Please look at that link, I want the opposite: When the content overflows to the scrollbars, I want my footer to be always at the **complete** bottom of the page, like Stack Overflow.

I have a div with `id=&quot;footer&quot;` and this CSS:

    #footer {
        position: absolute;
        bottom: 30px;
        width: 100%;
    }

But all it does is go to the bottom of the viewport, and stays there even if you scroll down, so it is no longer at the bottom.

Sorry if not clarified, I don&#39;t want it to be fixed, only for it to be at the actual bottom of all the content.

Where is the best place to put Jquery code (or separate Jquery file)?  Will pages load faster if I put it in the footer?

Should Jquery code go in header or footer?

What happens now is that when the content body does not have enough content. My footer moves up and then it leaves an empty space at the bottom.

Is it possible to print HTML pages with custom headers and footers on each printed page?

I&#39;d like to add the word &quot;UNCLASSIFIED&quot; in Red, Arial, size 16pt to the top and bottom of every *printed* page, regardless of the content.

To clarify, if the document was printed onto 5 pages, each page should have the custom header and footer.

Does anybody know if this is possible using HTML/CSS?

I dynamically load content in the `&lt;article&gt;` using javascript. Because of this, the height of the `&lt;article&gt;` block can change.

I want the `&lt;footer&gt;` block to be at the bottom of the page when there is a lot of content, or at the bottom of the browser window when only a few lines of content exist.

At the moment I can do one or the other... but not both. 

So does anyone know how I can do this - get the `&lt;footer&gt;` to stick to the bottom of the page/content or the bottom of the screen, depending on which is lower.

* stick to the window bottom when the page is short and the screen is not filled, and
* stay at the document end and move down as normal when there is more than a screenful of content (instead of overlapping the content).

The CSS is inherited and befuddles me. I can&#39;t seem to change it properly to put a minimum height on the content or make the footer go to the bottom.

Fixed footer in Bootstrap

I&#39;m trying to bottom-center a widget at the bottom of a Column, but it keeps aligning to the left.

The existence of the Positioned forces the Container to the left, instead of centering. Removing the Positioned, however, puts the Container in the middle-center.

How to add a footer in ListView?

Can anyone explain how to align a footer div to the bottom of the page. From the examples I&#39;ve seen, they all show how to make the div stay visible at the bottom, no matter where you&#39;ve scrolled the page. Although I don&#39;t want it like that. I want it fixed at the bottom of the page, so it doesn&#39;t move. Appreciate the help!

Although most pages on my site have enough content to push the footer to the bottom of the page for most people. I would like to know it&#39;s always fixed to the bottom regardless of screen size from now on anyway.

I&#39;ve tried a number of ways such as bottom: `0x;` `position:absolute:` etc. Never seems to work very well, occasionally pushes the footer out of its container to fix to the bottom using some of those examples right there.

Included is the HTML and CSS for the two parts of the footer (footer &amp; copyright bar). They&#39;re both inside of a `&lt;section id=&quot;footer&quot;&gt;` `div` anyway.

I removed my attempts at getting it to stick so people can have a look at it right now and see what the current code is to amend.

Fix footer to bottom of page

Maybe this question has been asked before, but I could not seem to find a precise answer or solution. I started using the RecyclerView, and I implemented it using the LinearLayoutManager. Now I want to add custom header and footer items, that differ from the rest of the items in my RecyclerView. The header and footer should not be sticky, I want them to scroll with the rest of the items. Can somebody point out some example how to do this or just share ideas. I will appreciate it very much. I am generally familiar with the technique of flushing a footer using css.

But I am having some trouble getting this approach to work for Twitter bootstrap, most likely due to the fact that Twitter bootstrap is responsive in nature. Using Twitter bootstrap I am not able to get the footer to flush to the bottom of the page using the approach described in the above blog post.

I&#39;m diving into writing a mobile app with jQuery Mobile/PhoneGap. I&#39;m using [this sample template][1] to start from, which uses HTML/JS to create the pages. Rather than have all the `&lt;page&gt;` tags in one single html file, he&#39;s got it split up so it&#39;s easier to edit.

**Since I will have a separate file for each page, what&#39;s the best way to include the tempated header/footer?** I&#39;ve only seen it where you need to copy and paste the whole footer-&gt;navbar code into each HTML page. This doesn&#39;t seem like it should be. For example, if you want to change one menu item, you need to go into each page and change it. 

What&#39;s the solution that I&#39;m missing?

Maybe I&#39;m just not understanding jQuery Mobile. For example, their sidebar they use for their docs - is that sidebar code copy and pasted onto each page? That doesn&#39;t make sense. It&#39;s the same idea as the question I&#39;m asking here about the footer.

Creating templated/persistant header/footer template in jQuery Mobile and PhoneGap

I&#39;me using this code to add a footer to the TableView. It has 20 sections, and each section a few rows. There&#39;s a titleForHeaderInSection, and sectionForSectionIndexTitle methods.
