Here is my question. To simplify my code I would like to figure out how to attach &#39;.click&#39; events to div&#39;s that are already existing in the HTML body.

My (failed) strategy was:

I just had a quick question regarding loops in Ruby. Is there a difference between these two ways of iterating through a collection?

My question is: how can I access a variable outside the scope of the handlebars.js each from within the loop?

In jQuery, is it possible to &lt;em&gt;invoke a callback&lt;/em&gt; or &lt;em&gt;trigger an event&lt;/em&gt; after an invocation of `.each()` (or any other type of iterative callback) has &lt;strong&gt;completed&lt;/strong&gt;.

For example, I would like this &quot;fade and remove&quot; to complete

before doing some calculations and inserting &lt;em&gt;new&lt;/em&gt; elements after the `$(parentSelect)`. My calculations are incorrect if the existing elements are still visible to jQuery and sleeping/delaying some arbitrary amount of time (200 for each element) seems like a brittle solution at best.

I can easily `.bind()` the necessary logic to an event callback but I&#39;m not sure how to cleanly invoke the `.trigger()` after the above iteration has &lt;em&gt;completed&lt;/em&gt;. Obviously, I can&#39;t invoke the trigger inside the iteration as it would fire multiple times.

In the case of `$.each()`, I&#39;ve considered adding something to the end of the data argument (that I&#39;d manually look for in the iteration body) but I&#39;d hate to be forced to that so I was hoping there was some other elegant way to control the flow with respect to iterative callbacks.

In my case I don&#39;t have a name for the array, it&#39;s just the root object of the response. I&#39;ve tried using `{{#each}}` with no luck.

How to iterate over array of objects in Handlebars?

If I have a Perl hash with a bunch of (key, value) pairs, what is the preferred method of iterating through all the keys?  I have heard that using `each` may in some way have unintended side effects.  So, is that true, and is one of the two following methods best, or is there a better way?

    # Method 1
    while (my ($key, $value) = each(%hash)) {
        # Something
    }
    
    # Method 2
    foreach my $key (keys(%hash)) {
        # Something

I have written jQuery to loop through each tr like:

    $(&#39;#tblOne tr&#39;).each(function() {...code...});

But problem is that it loops through the &quot;tr&quot; of &quot;tblTwo&quot; also which I don&#39;t want.

Apparently my attempt a generic examples is confusing people! Along with the (previously) missing parenthesis in the first example. :(

The first example comes from a line in my code that removes the &amp;lt;tbody&amp;gt; for any rows with a checkbox that is checked:

The second example comes from a situation where I look through the #classesTable for any checked checkboxes and remove its matching item in a dropdown.

What is the difference between $.each(selector) and $(selector).each()

I&#39;m grabbing an array of jQuery objects and then via .each() modifying each individual jquery with in the array.

In this case I&#39;m updated the class names to trigger a -webkit-transition-property to utilize a css transition. 

I&#39;d like there to be a pause before each css transition begins. I&#39;m using the following, but there is no delay in between each update. Instead, they all appear to be updating at once.

How to add pause between each iteration of jQuery .each()?

I am trying to do a foreach on a vector of attacks, each attack has a **unique ID** say, 1-3.

The class method takes the keyboard input of 1-3.

I am trying to use a foreach to run through my elements in m_attack to see if the number matches, if it does... do something.

The problem I&#39;m seeing is this: 

    a&#39;for each&#39; statement cannot operate on an expression of type &quot;std::vector&lt;Attack

Am I going about this totally wrong, I have C# experience and is kind of what I&#39;m basing this on, any help would be appreciated.

I was wondering if you can get an element index for the @each loop.

what&#39;s different between each and collect method in Ruby

I&#39;m trying this to get the `id` of each element in a `class` but instead it&#39;s alerting each name of the class separately, so for `class=&quot;test&quot;` it&#39;s alerting: `t`, `e`, `s`, `t`... I have an issue, where by I am doing a simple form validation, that needs some custom stuff that the validation plugin could not do for me. Basically, I have a name, email and message field, all are required, but only email is really validated, the others just need to check if theyre not empty. Here is my current code:

Just to explain, I am first checking the email address is valid via the isValidEmailAddress function, which is working. Then I am going through using each(), all the requiredText fields and checking if theyre not empty. When I get to the last  requiredText field, I want to submit the form using post or whatever. 

`if ($(this) == $(this).parent(&#39;:last&#39;)) {` What I have there is obviously incorrect but I am not sure what can be used to check if it is the last in the each result set, and perform an action if true. 

Can anybody help me out here?

I think I&#39;ve got some funny expectations...  I want to iterate the numbers from 1 to 10. As a while loop it goes like this:

    def countMe = 1
    while (countMe&lt;11) {
      println countMe
      countMe++
    }

I was expecting that the following would do this also:

    [1..10].each { println it }

But it actually prints the `IntRange`, not each `Integer` in the range.  What is the (syntactically) closest way to my `[x..y].each{}` fantasy to get each of a list of numbers?
