You can also use google-collections (guava) Joiner class if you want to customize the print format

I have a directory with all my coding projects. 

I want to upload (correct terminology?) it to [GitHub][1] using the command line.

I have already looked at [Old question][2].

I know how to clone an existing project, and how to push it after making any changes.

But in this case, I want to make a new project and add files to that.

I understand that this merges the dictionary. But, is it unique? What if d1 has the same key as d2 but different value?  I would like d1 and d2 to be merged, but d1 has priority if there is duplicate key.

I am trying to return 2 values from a Java method but I get these errors. Here is my code:

How to return 2 values from a Java method?

I have created a text file in Unix environment using Java code.

For writing the text file I am using `java.io.FileWriter` and `BufferedWriter`. And for newline after each row I am using `bw.newLine()` method (where `bw` is object of `BufferedWriter`).

And I&#39;m sending that text file by attaching in mail from Unix environment itself (automated that using Unix commands).

My issue is, after I download the text file from mail in a Windows system, if I 
opened that text file the data is not properly aligned. `newline()` character is 
not working, I think so.

I want same text file alignment as it is in Unix environment, if I opened the
text file in Windows environment also.

How do I resolve the problem?

Carriage Return\Line feed in Java

I want to write a new file with the [`FileWriter`][1]. I use it like this:

    FileWriter newJsp = new FileWriter(&quot;C:\\user\Desktop\dir1\dir2\filename.txt&quot;);

Now `dir1` and `dir2` currently don&#39;t exist. I want Java to create them automatically if they aren&#39;t already there. Actually Java should set up the whole file path if not already existing.

How can I achieve this?

Can anybody provide examples or links on how to establish a JDBC connection pool?

From searching google I see many different ways of doing this and it is rather confusing.

Ultimately I need the code to return a `java.sql.Connection` object, but I am having trouble getting started..any suggestions welcome.

**Update:**  Doesn&#39;t `javax.sql` or `java.sql` have pooled connection implementations? Why wouldn&#39;t it be best to use these?


How to establish a connection pool in JDBC?

Well, I&#39;m pretty much trying to figure out how to pull information from a webpage, and bring it into my program (in Java). 

For example, if I know the exact page I want info from, for the sake of simplicity a Best Buy item page, how would I get the appropriate info I need off of that page? Like the title, price, description? 

What would this process even be called? I have no idea were to even begin researching this.

What is the best way to determine if a STL map contains a value for a given key?

Examining this in a debugger, it looks like `iter` is just garbage data. 

If I uncomment out this line:

    Bar b2 = m[2]

The debugger shows that `b2` is `{i = 0}`. (I&#39;m guessing it means that using an undefined index will return a struct with all empty/uninitialized values?)

Neither of these methods is so great. What I&#39;d really like is an interface like this:

    bool getValue(int key, Bar&amp; out)
    {
    	if (map contains value for key)
    	{
    		out = map[key];
    		return true;
    	}
    	return false;
    }

The only way I have found to check for duplicates is by inserting and checking the `std::pair.second` for `false`, but the problem is that this still inserts something if the key is unused, whereas what I want is a `map.contains(key);` function.

C# debugging: [DebuggerDisplay] or ToString()?

I get this when I call `toString` on an object I received from a function call. I know the type of the object is encoded in this string, but I don&#39;t know how to read it.
