If you&#39;re broadcasting a message and attaching objects to it, you can even test that the objects match expectations

    expect(rootScope.$broadcast).toHaveBeenCalledWith(&#39;someEvent&#39;, someObj);

Here&#39;s how its done with mochaJs, with sinon for mocks and chai for expectations.

I have a point cloud of coordinates in numpy. For a high number of points, I want to find out if the points lie in the convex hull of the point cloud.

I tried pyhull but I cant figure out how to check if a point is in the ``ConvexHull``:

    for s in hull.simplices:
        s.in_simplex(np.array([2, 3]))
raises LinAlgError: Array must be square.

How can I test Broadcast event in AngularJS

I decided to try out [MiniTest][1] and noticed pretty quickly that it supported something called &quot;specs&quot;. I had seen these [referenced before][2] but thought it was just an alternate test syntax associated with factories, but if that were the case then why would MiniTest need to support them both?

We only covered tests when I was taught Ruby on Rails, so I don&#39;t really know anything about specs. When I Google specs I find a lot of stuff about how to write good ones but nothing explaining what they *are*. What&#39;s the difference between tests and specs?

In theory everything is correct. When `CreateUser` call &#39;GetUser&#39; to create a user, the user will return Mock filled;

I&#39;m having a fairly difficult time using `mock` in Python:

The test actually returns the right value, but `r.ok` is a Mock object, not `True`. How do you mock attributes in Python&#39;s `mock` library?

Rubyist writing Python here.  I&#39;ve got some code that looks kinda like this:

    result = database.Query(&#39;complicated sql with an id: %s&#39; % id)

`database.Query` is mocked out, and I want to test that the ID gets injected in correctly without hardcoding the entire SQL statement into my test.  In Ruby/RR, I would have done this:

    mock(database).query(/#{id}/)

But I can&#39;t see a way to set up a &#39;selective mock&#39; like that in unittest.mock, at least without some hairy `side_effect` logic.  So I tried using the regexp in the assertion instead:

    with patch(database) as MockDatabase:
      instance = MockDatabase.return_value
      ...
      instance.Query.assert_called_once_with(re.compile(&quot;%s&quot; % id))

But that doesn&#39;t work either.  This approach does work, but it&#39;s ugly:

    with patch(database) as MockDatabase:
      instance = MockDatabase.return_value
      ...
      self.assertIn(id, instance.Query.call_args[0][0])

Better ideas?


unittest.mock: asserting partial match for method argument

I been struggling to reset form once form is submitted. Someone posted this [Here][1] which I want to make it work but no success. Here is my [My Code Example][2].

`$scope.form.$setPristine();` is not setting `Pristine: {{user_form.$pristine}}` to **true**. See example above.

How does Angular $q.when work?

I&#39;m using the [angular-seed](https://github.com/angular/angular-seed) template to structure my application. Initially I put all my JavaScript code into a single file, `main.js`. This file contained my module declaration, controllers, directives, filters, and services. The application works fine like this, but I&#39;m worried about scalability and maintainability as my application becomes more complex. I noticed that the angular-seed template has separate files for each of these, so I&#39;ve attempted to distribute my code from the single `main.js` file into each of the other files mentioned in the title to this question and found in the `app/js` directory of the [angular-seed](https://github.com/angular/angular-seed/tree/master/app/js) template.

My question is: how do I manage the dependencies to get the application to work? The existing documentation found [here](http://docs.angularjs.org/guide) isn&#39;t very clear in this regard since each of the examples given shows a single JavaScript source file.

An example of what I have is:
