You can retrieve the code for your Cloud Functions from the Cloud Console. 

1. Go to [this URL](https://console.cloud.google.com/functions/list?project=_)
2. Select the project that the function is in
3. Select a function from the list
4. You will get to **this page**: [![Source tab of Google Cloud Functions][1]][1]

5. Select the &lt;kbd&gt;Source&lt;/kbd&gt; at the top
6. Click the &quot;Source location&quot; link

A zip file with the latest source of your function will start to download.

Note that these files may periodically get deleted. In that case, the above process will not work to recover your source code.

In the firebase console in the left hand menu select Functions.  Hover over the function you want to view and click the three vertical dots.  Select Detailed Usage Stats.  This will bring you to the Google Cloud console.  Select &#39;Source&#39; to get the source code.

When you click to select your project, make sure you have the right organization selected.

I&#39;ve been looking everywhere: stackoverflow, automapper documentation, internets and just couldn&#39;t find any info on this one, even tho this seems to be a very common problem.

My mapping:

    CreateMap&lt;StatusLevelDTO, StatusLevel&gt;()

This doesn&#39;t work because src represents source object (StatusLevelDTO), not a source property (I think).

To be more specific, If I map ObjectA to ObjectB, ObjectA.SomeValue is null and ObjectB.SomeValue is 2, I want the destination object to keep its value (2).

I have a Python/Django proyect. Due to some rolls back, and other mixed stuff we ended up in a kind of odd scenario.

The current scenario is like this:

- DB has the correct tables
- DB can&#39;t be rolled back or dropped
- Code is up to date

- Migrations folder is ***behind*** the DB by one or two migrations. (These migrations were applied from somewhere else and that &quot;somewhere else&quot; doesn&#39;t exist anymore)

- I add and alter some models
- I run *makemigrations*
- New migrations are created, but it&#39;s a mix of new tables and some tables that already exist in the DB.
- If I run *migrate* it will complain that some of the tables that I&#39;m trying to create already exist.


What I need:


To be able to run the migrations and kind of &quot;ignore&quot; the existing tables and apply the new ones. Or any alternative way to achieve this.

Is that possible?

I am doing a quick stress test on two (kinda) hello world projects written in [tag:node.js] and [tag:asp.net-core]. Both of them are running in production mode and without a logger attached to them. The result is astonishing! ASP.NET core is outperforming node.js app even after doing some extra work whereas the node.js app is just rendering a view.

As you can see, it does nothing apart from sending current date via the `time` variable to the view.

However this app does something other than just rendering a page with a date on it. It generates 5 paragraphs of various random texts. This should theoretically make this little bit heavier than the nodejs app.

Can&#39;t believe my eyes! It can&#39;t be true that in this basic test asp.net core is way faster than nodejs. Off course this is not the only metric used to measure performance between these two web technologies, but I am wondering **what am I doing wrong in the node.js side?**.

Being a professional asp.net developer and wishing to adapt node.js in personal projects, this is kind of putting me off - as I&#39;m a little paranoid about performance. I thought node.js is faster than asp.net core (in general - as seen in various other benchmarks) I just want to prove it to myself (to encourage myself in adapting node.js).

Unexpected outcome of node.js vs ASP.NET Core performance test

I am asking this question because I and my colleague have a dispute on coding style because he prefers arrows function declaration:

    const sum = (a, b) =&gt; a + b;

And I prefer old-style standalone function declaration:

    function sum(a, b) {
        return a + b;
    }

My point is that code in old-style more readable and you can more clearly distinguish function and variable declarations. His point is that code with arrow functions just run faster.

Do you know something about actual performance penalties (in v8) when you use old-style standalone function declaration instead of arrow functions? Are that penalties really exists?

Are arrow functions faster (more performant, lighter) than ordinary standalone function declaration in v8?

[npm 5 was released today](http://blog.npmjs.org/post/161081169345/v500) and one of the new features include deterministic installs with the creation of a `package-lock.json` file.

Is this file supposed to be kept in source control?

So I was trying to build and deploy my Angular 4 app for production on both Firebase and Heroku, but I have come across the error as follows:

**I want to use firebase auth with react native for `Login` and `Signup` but I got a yellow error:**

I&#39;m using http cloud functions to listen for a request and then return a simple message. 

I&#39;m developing cloud functions locally using:

    firebase serve --only functions

I&#39;ve setup some custom environment variables using

    firebase functions:config:set


Accessing the custom config variables using the below code works fine when the project is deployed 

     functions.config()

but it does not work when developing locally. When the function is triggered by hitting: http://localhost:5002/my-project-name/us-central1/functionName I can&#39;t access the custom config variables. when using functions.config() locally, I can see the default config, just not my custom config variables


Is there an alternate solution or best practice for environment variables when working locally?





How do you setup local environment variables for Cloud Functions for Firebase

I can&#39;t see any option anywhere to set up a custom domain for my Google Cloud Function when using HTTP Triggers. Seems like a fairly major omission. Is there any way to use a custom domain instead of their `location-project.cloudfunctions.net` domain or some workaround to the same effect?

I read an article suggesting using a CDN in front of the function with the function URL specified as the pull zone. This would work, but would introduce unnecessary cost - and in my scenario none of the content is able to be cached so using a CDN is far from ideal.

Sorry, if this is a naive question, but i&#39;ve watched bunch of talks from google&#39;s staff and still don&#39;t understand why on earth i would use AE instead of CF?

If i understood it correctly, the whole concept of both of these services is to build &quot;microservice architecture&quot;.

 - both CF and AE are stateless
 - both suppose to execute during limited period of time
 - both can interact with dbs and other gcp apis.

Though, AE must be wrapped into own server. Basically it utilizes a lot of complexities on top of the same capabilities as CF. So, when should i use it instead of CF?
