I am using win32.client in python for converting my .xlsx and .xls file into a .csv. When I execute this code it&#39;s giving an error. My code is:

xls to csv converter

I&#39;m looking for an Excel library which reads/writes .xls (not .xlsx) files.

I&#39;m using &lt;a href=&quot;http://code.google.com/p/excellibrary/&quot;&gt;excellibrary&lt;/a&gt; but it&#39;s very buggy and I &lt;a href=&quot;http://code.google.com/p/excellibrary/issues/detail?id=60&quot;&gt;can&#39;t seem to open the files I create&lt;/a&gt;. The issue has been known for almost a year and hasn&#39;t been fixed yet.

I&#39;ve seen in another thread someone suggested &lt;a href=&quot;http://epplus.codeplex.com/&quot;&gt;EPPlus&lt;/a&gt;, but that only works with the 2007/2010 .xlsx format.

I&#39;ve used &lt;a href=&quot;http://sourceforge.net/projects/koogra/&quot;&gt;Koogra&lt;/a&gt; in the past, and been quite happy with it, but I believe it can only read... not write.

If you know of a library, please let me know what it&#39;s called.

I&#39;m quite happy to create my Excel file with the built-in Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel if necessary, however my machine has Office 2007 and the target machines only have Office 2003. I noticed I have 2 file versions for that library: 12, and 14. I checked the Excel version on the target machines and it&#39;s 11.8169.8172 - I&#39;m assuming that the built-in Excel interop will not work on the target?

.NET Excel Library that can read/write .xls files

We have a lot of spreadsheets (xls) in our source code repository.  These are usually edited with gnumeric or openoffice.org, and are mostly used to populate databases for unit testing with [dbUnit][1].  There are no easy ways of doing diffs on xls files that I know of, and this makes merging extremely tedious and error prone.

I&#39;ve tried to converting the spreadsheets to xml and doing a regular diff, but it really feels like it should be a last resort.  

I&#39;d like to perform the diffing (and merging) with ``git`` as I do with text files. How would I do this, e.g. when issuing ``git diff``?

Please can someone help me on the best way to import an excel 2007 (.xlsx) file into R. I have tried several methods and none seems to work. I have upgraded to 2.13.1, windows XP, xlsx 0.3.0, I don&#39;t know why the error keeps coming up. I tried:

Importing Excel files into R, xlsx or xls

I need to fill a cell with the first non-empty entry in a set of columns (from left to right) in the same row - similar to coalesce() in SQL. 

In the following example sheet

I want to put a cell function in each cell of row A such that I will get:

I know I could do this with a cascade of IF functions, but in my real sheet, I have 30 columns to select from, so I would be happy if there were a simpler way.

I am trying to use ExcelDataReader to read an .xls file on Ubuntu. I am using VS Code with C#. Here is the code:

I also tried this:

    var reader = ExcelDataReader.ExcelReaderFactory.CreateBinaryReader(stream);

When I run, I am getting the following exception:

   at System.Text.Encoding.GetEncoding(Int32 codepage)

I already installed the `libmono-i18n-west4.0-cil` (tried also with `libmono-i18n4.0-all`) as I found out some people recommending this, but the problem persists. Also installed the package `System.Text.Encoding.CodePages` without success.

Can anyone help to solve this?

VS Code C# - System.NotSupportedException: No data is available for encoding 1252

I am working on angular js app and I stuck in a situation in which I have to export data to Xls using angular js. I have searched a lot on the internet for export functionality or any library for angular js so I can do that or at least I can get the idea how to export. I don&#39;t have any code or work to show here. 

 I need suggestions. Please help me on this.

I have a data which is an array of objects and I am iterating that on UI in a table. My backend is node.js and frontend are angular js.

My problem is if we have the data from the server and I am using on UI, how can I use the same data to export to Xls using angular js. I don&#39;t want to give a call again on the backend to extract the data and export that. 

In the existing table, the user can select the checkbox (Any number of rows or all rows) to extract the data to Xls.

In node.js I have used node module whose name is: Excel and it is available on nodemodules site.

My data is like that:
