I have a procedure:

I stumbled onto this neat shortcut for converting a DOM NodeList into a regular array, but I must admit, I don&#39;t completely understand how it works:

    [].slice.call(document.querySelectorAll(&#39;a&#39;), 0)

So it starts with an empty array &lt;code&gt;[]&lt;/code&gt;, then &lt;code&gt;slice&lt;/code&gt; is used to convert the result of &lt;code&gt;call&lt;/code&gt; to a new array yeah?

The bit I don&#39;t understand is the &lt;code&gt;call&lt;/code&gt;. How does that convert &lt;code&gt;document.querySelectorAll(&#39;a&#39;)&lt;/code&gt; from a NodeList to a regular array?

Explanation of [].slice.call in javascript?

I know that `__call__` method in a class is triggered when the instance of a class is called. However, I have no idea when I can use this special method, because one can simply create a new method and perform the same operation done in `__call__` method and instead of calling the instance, you can call the method.

I would really appreciate it if someone gives me a practical usage of this special method.

How to pass a callback as a parameter into another function

I&#39;m a beginner and I&#39;ve always read that it&#39;s bad to repeat code. However, it seems that in order to not do so, you would have to have extra method calls usually. Let&#39;s say I have the following class

Would it be more optimal for me to just copy and paste the two lines in my clear() method into the constructor instead of calling the actual method? If so how much of a difference does it make? What if my constructor made 10 method calls with each one simply setting an instance variable to a value? What&#39;s the best programming practice?

If from inside a bat file you called another batch file but still had a few remaining operations to complete, how can you make sure that the call to first bat file will after completion or error, will return to the file that called it in the first instance?

Example:

I clearly didn&#39;t understand how to pass variables to classes or how to handle `self`, when to use it and when not. I probably also didn&#39;t understand how to properly create an instance of a class. In general I didn&#39;t understand the mechanics of classes so please help me and explain it to me like I have no idea (which I don&#39;t, it seems). Or point me to a thorough video, or readable tutorial.

All I find on the web is super simple examples, that didn&#39;t help me much. Or just very short definitions of classes and class methods instances etc.

I want to execute a function every 60 seconds on Python but I don&#39;t want to be blocked meanwhile.

How can I do it asynchronously?

With this code, the function f is executed every 3 seconds within the 20 seconds time.time.
At the end it gives an error and I think that it is because the threading.timer has not been canceled.

How can I cancel it?
