I have added `TabLayout` (from support library v22.2.1) to my Fragment as:

    		android:layout_width=&quot;match_parent&quot;
    		android:layout_height=&quot;wrap_content&quot;

The issue is that when the Fragment&#39;s orientation is landscape (before or after the initial creation of the fragment), the `TabLayout` doesn&#39;t match the width of the `Fragment` (yes the parent has its width set to `match_parent` as well).

When screen width is small (i.e not all tabs can be shown at same time):

If I change `tabMode` to fixed, width is filled but tabs are too small. Is there any proper solution out there?

TabLayout not filling width when tabMode set to &#39;scrollable&#39;

I&#39;m using the new class provided by the design library : TabLayout. And I want in specific cases that the one I&#39;m using can&#39;t change tab anymore.

I manage to disable swipe on its viewpager but I can&#39;t figure out how to disable the change of page by clicking on tabs.

I have setup tabs as **UPDATE 29/05/2015** [this][1] post. Tabs take full width on my Nexus 4 mobile but on nexus 7 tablet it in center and not cover full screen width.

I have difficulties changing the text size of the tabs of design library tablayout (android.support.design.widget.TabLayout).

I managed to change it by assigning tabTextAppearance in TabLayout

the following style

I&#39;m using a `TabLayout` with a `ViewPager` and I&#39;m wondering how I can most efficiently change the color of the icon of the selected tab in the TabLayout.

A perfect reference for how this is implemented is **Google&#39;s Youtube app**. On the main page, there are four icons that are colored dark gray. When a specific tab is selected, the tab&#39;s icon becomes white.

**Without any third party libraries**, how can I achieve the same effect?

**One possible solution is apparently with selectors.** But in that case, I would have to find both a white and a gray version of the icon and then switch the icon when the tab becomes selected or deselected. I&#39;m wondering if there&#39;s a more effective method where I can just highlight the icon color or something. I haven&#39;t been able to find this in any tutorial.

**EDIT**

The solution that I mention directly above requires the use of two drawables for each tab&#39;s icon. I&#39;m wondering if there&#39;s a way I can do it programmatically with **ONE** drawable for each tab&#39;s icon.

I want to use `com.google.android.material.tabs.TabLayout` component with Android&#39;s new `ViewPager` implementation `androidx.viewpager2.widget.ViewPager2`. TabLayout tabs text not displaying

I want to implement a `TabLayout` because it is simple but all the tutorials I have found involve a `ViewPager`.  I just want something like `OnClickListener` where if I click the `Add` icon, it will show a toast that displays &quot;tab 1&quot; and if I click a calendar icon, it will show a toast that displays &quot;tab 2&quot;

TabLayout without using ViewPager

I am using design support to create tabs. I am also using `ViewPager` for swipable tabs.

Now, I don&#39;t know how to use only icons instead of texts in tabs. I tried finding out but didn&#39;t get any success.
