So, anybody know how to display an image with rounded corners with Glide?
I am loading an image with Glide, but I don&#39;t know how to pass rounded params to this library.

How to round an image with Glide library?

Downloading a URL into an `ImageView` is very easy using Glide:

    Glide
       .with(context)
       .load(getIntent().getData())
       .placeholder(R.drawable.ic_loading)
       .centerCrop()
       .into(imageView);

I&#39;m wondering if I can download into a `Bitmap` as well? I&#39;d like to download into a raw bitmap that I can then manipulate using other tools. I&#39;ve been through the code and don&#39;t see how to do it.

How does one use glide to download an image into a bitmap?

Can I load a spinner in placeholder with rotating animation until the image is loaded using Glide?

I am trying to do that using .placeholder(R.Drawable.spinner) no animation is coming up?

It would be great if somebody could help me out?

Progress bar while loading image using Glide

Hi I want to have a progress bar for image which will shown while image loading but when image loading will be completed I want to set it to gone. Earlier I was using Picasso library for this. But I don&#39;t know how to use it with Glide library. I have idea that some resource ready function is there but I don&#39;t know how to use it. Can anyone help me?

I am looking for an asynchronous image loading and caching library in Android. I was going to use Picasso, but I found Universal Image Loader is more popular on GitHub. Does anyone know about these two libraries? A summary of pros and cons would be great. 

(All my images are on disk locally, so I don&#39;t need networking, therefore I don&#39;t think Volley is a fit)

I am using Glide in one of my projects to show image from file.

Below is my code how I am showing the image:

    Glide.with(DemoActivity.this)
         .load(Uri.parse(&quot;file://&quot; + imagePath))
         .into(mImage);

The image at this location(`imagePath`) keeps on changing. By default Glide cache the image it shows in the `ImageView`. Because of this, the Glide was showing the first image from cache for new images at that location.

If I change the image at location `imagePath` with some other image having same name then the Glide is showing the first image instead of new one.

Two queries are:

 1. Is it possible to always the image from File and not cache? This way problem will be solved.

 2. Is it possible to clear image from cache before getting newly replaced image? This will also solve the problem.

I want to use the Glide Android library to download an image and show in `ImageView`.

In the previous version we used:

How has `GlideApp.with()` been used?

The API is generated in the same package as the `AppGlideModule` and is named `GlideApp` by default. Applications can use the API by starting all loads with `GlideApp.with()` instead of `Glide.with()`:

I am using glide for image loading in my android app, to avoid any crashes I am loading images with application context. What will be effect of this on performance of application and memory?

I try to show a GIF image as loading placeholder in image view - with [Glide Library][1]:

The `simpleTarget` is where I handle the images downloaded/cached for Glide. I&#39;m posting all code about `simpleTarget` because the crash is starting there:&lt;br&gt;

 - Tried to reproduce the error in 4 real devices without success.
 - Searched in web for similar errors or code about `gms.maps.model.Marker.setIcon` or `com.google.maps.api.android.lib6`
 - Tried to understand the obfuscated code given in Android Studio for `Marker.setIcon`&lt;br&gt;

I guess I can wrap the code in a `try-catch block` for that IllegalArgumentException: Unmanaged descriptor to avoid application get closed because the crash but it&#39;s just a work around it.

The `ImageLoaderManager` is just a Facade for Glide.

IllegalArgumentException: Unmanaged descriptor using gms.maps.model.Marker.setIcon

I want to keep all the transformation, stoke and animations identical and was thinking if we can pass resource ID or asset name in Glide to load it locally?

Using Glide for Android, how do I load images from asset and resources?

Today I&#39;m trying to use `Glide` image loader in my android application while using this I had facing method not resolving problem.

This code working pretty fine. But when I&#39;m trying this

Then this saying cannot resolve method `fitCenter()`, `placeholder`.
What I am missing?

Glide does not resolve its method

I have a pretty basic load image from server line code:

    Glide.with(view.getContext()).load(url).placeholder(R.drawable.default_profile).into(view);

For some reason, I&#39;m always stuck with the placeholder being displayed and never the real image!

I have made sure that a valid and working url is being passed. And, if I use the same code without the placeholder it works fine

Any ideas why?

I am trying to load an image using glide but somehow I can not load the image using glide. As it shows following error:

&gt; Failed to find GeneratedAppGlideModule. You should include an annotationProcessor compile dependency on com.github.bumptech.glide:compiler in your application and a @GlideModule annotated AppGlideModule implementation or LibraryGlideModules will be silently ignored.

I have reffered [This solution][1] too. But, I already have the updated verion of glide.

Glide showing error: Failed to find GeneratedAppGlideModule

I&#39;m using Glide to load images and I added a listener to know when resource is ready or if there was an error of any type:

    Glide.with(mContext)
        .load(url)
        .placeholder(R.drawable.glide_placeholder)
        // use dontAnimate and not crossFade to avoid a bug with custom views
        .dontAnimate()
        .diskCacheStrategy(DiskCacheStrategy.ALL)
        .listener(new RequestListener&lt;String, GlideDrawable&gt;() {
            @Override
            public boolean onException(Exception e, String model, Target&lt;GlideDrawable&gt; target, boolean isFirstResource) {
                // do something
                return true;
            }
    
            @Override
            public boolean onResourceReady(GlideDrawable resource, String model, Target&lt;GlideDrawable&gt; target, boolean isFromMemoryCache, boolean isFirstResource) {
                // do something
                return true;
             }
        })
        .into(mCustomImageView);

The app never runs inside `onResourceReady` or `onException` but if I remove the listener and let the async download without a callback, it runs correctly:

    Glide.with(mContext)
        .load(url)
        .placeholder(R.drawable.glide_placeholder)
        // use dontAnimate and not crossFade to avoid a bug with custom views
        .dontAnimate()
        .diskCacheStrategy(DiskCacheStrategy.ALL)
        .into(mCustomImageView);

I tried also with `GlideDrawableImageViewTarget` instead of listener to receive callbacks but app runs inside `onLoadStarted` but never runs inside `onLoadCleared`, `onLoadFailed` and `onResourceReady`.

Glide listener doesn&#39;t work

My concern is how to fit image using  `android:scaleType=&quot;fitXY&quot;` into image using **Glide**.

My `ImageView` is 


    &lt;ImageView

        android:layout_width=&quot;wrap_content&quot;
        android:layout_height=&quot;wrap_content&quot;

        android:scaleType=&quot;fitXY&quot; /&gt;

Loads image using **Glide** like this


 

    Glide.with(context).load(url).placeholder(R.drawable.default_image).into(img);


but image is not getting fit into `ImageView` it show space on image either side as shown in screen I need it `fitXY`
