Just adding on but IPA files are programs written for Apple iOS devices such as iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Such files are downloaded from the Apple iTunes App Store and can be transferred to an iOS device when it is connected to the computer.



I have a long text file of redis commands that I need to execute using the redis command line interface:

e.g.

    DEL 9012012
    DEL 1212
    DEL 12214314

etc.

I can&#39;t seem to figure out a way to enter the commands faster than one at a time.  There are several hundred thousands lines, so I don&#39;t want to just pile them all into one DEL command, they also don&#39;t need to all run at once.

When creating an iOS app, I&#39;m confused as to when exactly I need to call `setNeedsDisplay`?  I know that it has something to do with updating/redrawing the UI; however, do I need to call this every time I change any of my views?

For example, do I need to call it:

- After programatically changing the text in a text field
- When changing the background of a view?
- When I make changes in viewDidLoad? 
- How about in viewDidAppear?

Could someone give me some general guidelines regarding when to use this method?

I&#39;m running Xcode 4.3.1 iOS-Simulator which originally only supports iOS 5.1.

I need to test my code with iOS 4.3, so I used Xcode&#39;s &quot;Install&quot; feature to install it as described in [&quot;Installing Xcode with iOS 4.3 device simulator?&quot;][1]

Now I&#39;m finished with testing but cannot find a way to uninstall the 4.3 portions (&quot;iPhone 4.3 Simulator&quot; and &quot;iPad 4.3 Simulator&quot;). I want to reduce the clutter in the Scheme menu.

No one on Apple&#39;s Xcode listserv knew the answer!

It removes old simulators Xcode no longer use. For me it was 6Gb
Did not try it myself...

I&#39;ve decoded an APK with apktool (as the original source code was lost) so I could fix some issues with the layout xml files. I&#39;ve then rebuilt it back up with apktool and when I tried to install it on my device (using adb: adb install appname.apk) it gave me this error:

    [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES]

the original apk however was signed by a keystore (on eclipse IDE), this one isn&#39;t, how can I sign it properly with it&#39;s original keystone file outside Eclipse!?

I&#39;m trying to extract the APK file of an installed Android app WITHOUT root permissions.

I thought that this was impossible, because all APK files for non-system-apps are located in /data/app, and accessing this folder requires root permission. Then I found that there are numerous apps in the Google Play store that seem to have access to the APK files even on non-rooted devices.

Can someone tell me how this is possible? Aren&#39;t there backup apps which backup the APK files without root?
