Well, most of the apps i submitted into the App Store were submitted within 7 days - it does not make any difference if you submit new app or just an update. The latest update i submitted took 8 days to review, so maybe it&#39;s a bit &#39;crowded&#39; at the moment.

As per my experience, it could be between 1 day to 6 days. But you never know what might have prevented you app to go through..


I have followed the &quot;Don&#39;t Optimize Prematurely&quot; mantra and coded up my WCF Service using Entity Framework.

However, I profiled the performance and Entity Framework is too slow.  (My app processes 2 messages in about 1.2 seconds, where the (legacy) app that I am re-writing does 5-6 messages in the same time.  (The legacy app calls sprocs for its DB Access.)

My profiling points to Entity Framework taking the bulk of the time per message.

So, what are my options?  

 - Are there better ORMs out there?  
(Something that just supports normal reading and writing of objects and does it fast..)  

 - Is there a way to make Entity Framework faster?  
(**Note**: when I say faster I mean over the long run, not the first call.  (The first call is slow (15 seconds for a message), but that is not a problem.  I just need it to be fast for the rest of the messages.)
  
 - Some mysterious 3rd option that will help me get more speed out of my service.

**NOTE:** Most of my DB interactions are Create and Update.  I do very very little selecting and deleting.

I uploaded my first app to iTunes connect, on the 23rd it changed status to Waiting For Review. The box which shows the status of app reviews says 80-99% of apps in the last 5 days have been reviewed. 

Does that include the Waiting For Review period, or only from the In Review period? 

Basically how long should I wait before I wonder if it&#39;s disappeared down a black hole?
I have no problem with waiting weeks, just Im unsure what the percentage says actually mean.

EDIT: I also meant to ask if the the stats Apple give in the developer centre, include the Waiting For Review period?

I have a JSON string (from PHP&#39;s `json_encode()` that looks like this:

I want to parse this into some sort of data structure for my iPhone app. I guess the best thing for me would be to have an array of dictionaries, so the 0th element in the array is a dictionary with keys `&quot;id&quot; =&gt; &quot;1&quot;` and `&quot;name&quot; =&gt; &quot;Aaa&quot;`. 

I do not understand how the `NSJSONSerialization` stores the data though. Here is my code so far:

This is just something I saw as an example on another website. I have been trying to get a read on the `JSON` object by printing out the number of elements and things like that, but I am always getting `EXC_BAD_ACCESS`.

However, I wish to add each file to a UITableView when it is successfully saved. When the file in the UITableView is tapped, I&#39;d like a UIWebView to navigate to that file (all offline).

How do you know what is the current page/view displayed inside an `UIPageViewController`?

I have overridden the `viewDidAppear` method of my child views, so that they send an id to the parent view in their `viewDidAppear` method.

However, the problem is this: i cannot reliably use that id as id for the displayed page. because if the user turns the page but halfway through decides to stop the turning and put the page back, `viewDidAppear` will already have been called. (the view is visible behind the curled page).


Maybe i should only switch to a new id if the current view disappears. But I wonder if there is not a more simple way to return the view that is currently visible?

I&#39;m reading the [iTunes Connect Developer Guide][1] as I&#39;m trying to add a new application to iTunes Connect.  

I&#39;m a bit confused about the `SKU number` which I should provide. On page 81 in the above developer guide they provide an example of their data for their application *Orange Ball*.

They have chosen `Orange_Ball_01` for the *SKU Number*. What is the `01` indicating - that it is version 1?  Why use underscore?  Why not just type “OrangeBall”, if that SKU is not used?
