Exclude any 3.x version of JUnit that may have crept in.

Make sure there are no TestNG dependencies, if there are it will load TestNG annotations and not the JUnit ones you need.

I trying to understand how do I work with Angularjs. It looks like nice framework, but  I stuck with a little problem with DI... 
 
How I can inject dependecies in &quot;run&quot; method of the module? I mean I able to do it, but it works only if I have service/factory/value with as same name as &quot;run&quot; parameter name.

Why I need it may you ask :) But in my mind, first off all to have meaningful namespaces to organize the code. It will also minimize name collision and in the last, when minifing the JS, the things breaks down, since it renamed to more shorten names.

But it doesn&#39;t recognize the new line characters and shows as below in webbrowser.

Why doesn&#39;t the `&lt;h:outputText&gt;` break `\n` into new lines?

What should I do? Do I have to replace `\n` with `&lt;br /&gt;`?

Can somebody explain this to me please :

I never understood and I seriously think I never will if somebody doesn&#39;t try to explain this to me in depth. This whole context thing is so confusing to me. Sometimes it works like this :

Sometimes it wont work like that but it accepts only :

		Intent intent = new Intent(context, AlarmReceiver.class);

Sometimes its :

    Intent intent = new Intent(this, AlarmReceiver.class);

etc. etc. and many other.

I understand basics of context but how many are there? And why does eclipse throw me an error once and another time its fine? Why do we need to declare context sometimes? :

Android Intent Context Confusing

I am trying to create a folder for each username a user logs in as. Currently I have

I have a 2D array of Integers. I want them to be put into a HashMap. But I want to access the elements from the HashMap based on Array Index. Something like:

For A[2][5], `map.get(2,5)` which returns a value associated with that key. But how do I create a hashMap with a pair of keys? Or in general, multiple keys: `Map&lt;((key1, key2,..,keyN), Value)` in a way that I can access the element with using get(key1,key2,...keyN).

I came across another way for `NxN matrix`. 

Array indices, `i` and `j` can be represented as a single `key` the following way:

    int key = i * N + j;

And the indices can be retrevied from the `key` in this way:

I have been learning Java for a while now and still learning new syntax tricks and stuff. I came across this in Android source code:

    boolean retry = id == 1;

I have a multi-module Maven project.  For the sake of this example, consider two modules:

 * `data`
 * `consumer`

Module `consumer` has module `data` as a dependency.

Module `data` declares a bunch of core classes.  There are tests under `src/test` that use them.  These tests require some long-winded object creation, so I have a class with some utility methods in it to create these objects.  This utility class (`SampleDataHelper`) is in the `src/test` hierarchy.

I also have some tests in the `consumer` module that need to create some of these long-winded objects.  I want to use my `SampleDataHelper` class (defined in `data src/test`) in tests that reside in my `consumer src/test` tree.  Unfortunately, even though `data` is a dependency of `consumer`, `consumer` can&#39;t see the classes that exist under `data src/test`.

To combat this, I thought I might create *another* module (`data-test`), and move `SampleDataHelper` to it under **`src/main`**.  Then I would include `data-test` as a *test scope* dependency of `data`.  Unfortunately, this introduces a circular dependency: `data` uses `data-test`, but `data-test` also requires `data`. 

The only solution I&#39;ve come up with is to place `SampleDataHelper` under `data src/main` under a `test` package and hope that no real application code ever calls it.

How can I share my `SampleDataHelper` class between modules *without* putting it under `src/main`?




Sharing src/test classes between modules in a multi-module maven project

In Eclipse Juno, I installed the latest m2e plugin (1.2.20120903-1050).  In preferences, I have added jdk1.7.0_11 in Java -&gt; Installed JREs -&gt; Add, and then specified the location (`C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_11`).  When I create a new Maven project and run it, I get a warning:

&gt;Build path specifies execution environment J2SE-1.5. There are no JREs installed in the workspace that are strictly compatible with this environment.

I am not sure how to resolve this.

I believe it is a Maven problem because I do not have this error when I run normal Java projects.  I read [here][1] that I should change the &quot;maven-compiler-plugin.pom&quot; and change the source and target from 1.5 to something more appropriate.  In my case, 1.7.  I have done this, but I still get the warning.

I&#39;m using [Travis-CI][1] to provide continuous integration builds for a few Java open source projects I&#39;m working on.

Normally this works smoothly, but I have a problem when the POM specifies GPG signing, e.g.

What is the best way to configure Maven and/or Travis to skip GPG signing for CI test builds, but still perform GPG signing when I do a proper release build?

Suppressing GPG signing for Maven-based continuous integration builds (Travis CI)

I have done considerable research in internet and I haven&#39;t found any easy explanation what to do with `BOM` files with Maven.

The problem is that I use JBoss 7.1.1 and I want to include all JBoss client jars in `pom.xml`. JBoss has a manual that says that I should use BOM files, but I don&#39;t know how to use it in my `pom.xml`.

Please help.

I have a Maven web project in my repo.  

I am a Maven noob but still I understand the fact that there are plugins which we need to configure only then we could run plugin specific commands.

**Facts:**

I have a sonar server running on my local machine at port 9000.

I have not added any sonar specific plugin in my POM.xml

I don&#39;t want the working knowledge of sonar itself. I want to know why `mvn sonar:sonar` works without configuring a sonar plugin in my pom.xml

WHY and how?

When using PyCharm IDE the use of `except:` without an exception type triggers a reminder from the IDE that this exception clause is `Too broad`. 

Should I be ignoring this advice? Or is it Pythonic to always specific the exception type?

Azure table storage returns 400 Bad Request

while maintaining my colleague&#39;s code from even someone who claims to be a senior developer, I often see the following code:

or sometimes they write logging information to log files like following `try catch` block

I am just wondering if what they have done is the best practice? It makes me confused because in my thinking users should know what happens with the system.

I have discovered that these seem to be the two main ways of testing for exceptions:

Which of these would be best? Does one offer advantages over the other? Or is it simply a matter of personal preference?

I have a method with a `void` return type. It can also throw a number of exceptions so I&#39;d like to test those exceptions being thrown. All attempts have failed with the same reason:

How do you reset Spring JUnit application context after a test class dirties it?

I want to verify if a method is called at least once through mockito verify. I used verify and it complains like this:

I know this question is pretty general but I haven&#39;t found any hints on why this error may show up. What are possible causes of seeing *initalizationError* in Eclipse window? I get no useful information just a long and useless failure trace (not included here).

The following two log messages are noteworthy basically saying that no user was authenticated indicating that setting the &lt;code&gt;Principal&lt;/code&gt; did not work, or that it was overwritten.

Spring Test &amp; Security: How to mock authentication?

I&#39;m really new to java. 

I&#39;m running some JUnit tests on a constructor. The constructor is such that if it is given a null or an empty string for one of its parameters, it&#39;s supposed to throw an exception. 

When I test this constructor in JUnit with a null or an empty string parameter, I get a red bar, even though I&#39;m almost 100% sure that the constructor method does indeed throw an exception when such parameters are passed in to it. 

Shouldn&#39;t there be a green bar in JUnit if the method throws an exception the way it is supposed to? Or is it that when you are supposed to get a red bar when the exception throwing works the way it is supposed to?
