Since style tags are not valid XHTML, TinyMCE disabled the ability to add them outside of the &lt;head&gt; tags. 

You have to add style tags to the [valid children configuration][2]

    valid_children : &quot;+body[style]&quot;

If you put tinyMCE in fullpage mode, you can put styles in the `&lt;head&gt;`

It&#39;s a bit hacky but I&#39;m using TinyMCE 4 and was in a pinch, so I added a `&lt;script&gt;` tag in the TinyMCE editor&#39;s [Source Code][1] view and used [jQuery to change the styles][2].

This assumes that TinyMCE has been setup not to disallow script tags, and your page already has jQuery included in it like mine did, if not you could use standard [javascript to change styles][3].

TinyMCE is removing &lt;style&gt; tags

Okay, this is really confusing me. I have some content inside of a div like so:

I use TinyMCE as editor on a website. Problem is, when I insert images from the same site, TinyMCE will use relative url to the image instead of the fixed url I entered when including the image.

The resulting html is used elsewhere, for example in emails. Problem is, relative urls will not show up properly anywhere but in the original location.

I installed TinyMCE, everything was working great. I then used Google Closure to package my site&#39;s JavaScript along with TinyMCE_src

The problem I&#39;m having is that TinyMCE is now making calls to:

    plugins/paste/editor_plugin.js
    themes/advanced/editor_template.js
    langs/en.js

And that paths that are being used are invalid, they are 404&#39;ing

How can I tell TinyMCE where to go to get these files?

I&#39;m not too good with regular expressions, but with PHP I&#39;m wanting to remove the `style` attribute from HTML tags in a string that&#39;s coming back from TinyMCE.

So change `&lt;p style=&quot;...&quot;&gt;Text&lt;/p&gt;` to just vanilla `&lt;p&gt;Test&lt;/p&gt;`.

I have a news editor for my site with which I am using TinyMCE.  What I would like to be able to do is have a button (outside of the TinyMCE editor itself) that I can click to scan the textarea for any images, then list those images as options to use for a thumbnail image for said news article.

My problem is that document.getElementById(&#39;NewsArticle&#39;).value is not returning anything when there is text in the textarea

The other potential problem is that whats shown in the textarea is not actual code, but images etc too so I wasn&#39;t sure it would even work in the first place, but since when the form is submitted the data[News][article] value is back into text, I thought there might be a chance.

If anyone knows how to get either the content or code for the tinyMCE textarea, or has a better solution, I&#39;d be interested to hear
