As mentioned in [POM Reference: SCM][1]  The `connection` requires `read access` for Maven to be able to find the source code (for example, an update), `developerConnection` requires a connection that will give `write access`. It is an information for our project where the other, including with another `maven plugin` to re-use this information further. In this case the `Maven Release Plugin`.

The [Maven Release Plugin: Prepare a Release][2] also provides us the behind the scenes what it does for us during the `release:prepare`. There are some significant steps which requires the access to the `scm` as the following: - 

 1. Transform the SCM information in the POM to include the final destination of the tag
 2. Tag the code in the SCM with a version name (this will be prompted for)
 3. Commit the modified POMs

This means we should provide the `scm` information when using the `maven release plugin`. Especially the `developerConnection`. If we don&#39;t provide, the plugin is not able to execute.

Another useful information is [Maven Release Plugin: Perform a Release][3] and [Maven Release Plugin: Rollback a Release][4].

I need to create a rectangle that have just two rounded corners in swift (Objective C code also ok).

At the moment my code is creating two rectangles with 

    CGPathCreateWithRoundedRect(CGRectMake(0, 0, 30, 60), 5, 5, nil);

and 

    CGPathCreateWithRoundedRect(CGRectMake(0, 0, 30, 60), 0, 0, nil);

and merging them (to have two right angle corners and two rounded ones) but I am not happy with the code and I am pretty sure there should be much better ways to do it.

Maven cannot resolve dependency for module in same multi-module project

I&#39;m having problems when I run mvn release:prepare. I have the following message:

I have a main class that expects certain properties that I pass using the -D option. I can access this in my IDE by sending them as VM options.

I package this application into a jar file using Maven and when I try the following:

`java -jar myjar.jar -Denviroment=dev`

or

`java -jar myjar.jar &quot;-Denvironment=dev&quot;`

The enviroment system property is not getting picked up.

Any pointers on what is going on?

The Folder Structure is: src/main/java/org/jis/Main.java

it doesn&#39;t work.
