I made something very stupid.
I made a commit using git commit (file edits + new files) (C).
Then I made amend last commit.
Then I deleted all files recursively (!) using `git rm -r`
Then I made another git commit (C).

Is there any way to undelete the files but keep the changes I had in my first commit? (C)
I&#39;d rather do not go back to (B).
I tried git reset --soft head^, so then the git status lists files I deleted, then I did git checkout, but still no luck. I don&#39;t even know if it&#39;s possible.

I&#39;ve just started writing my first JavaFX 2 application after learning the basics and would like to internationalize it. 

I notice that in JavaFX 1.x, the scripting language allowed for very simple internationalization of strings. Are there any similar features in JavaFX 2?

I started populating an en yaml file in Rails and I can already tell it will get messy and out of hand before too long. Is there a convention to keeping this file organized?

So far I have this structure:

Now I have the following things that I want to fit into this structure but I&#39;m unsure how to:

I want to display a date of birth based on the user locale. In my application, one of my fields is the date of birth, which is currently in the format `dd/mm/yyyy`. Working on a rails 3 app where I want to check if a translation exists before outputting it, and if it doesn&#39;t exist fall back to some static text. I could do something like:

    if I18n.t(&quot;some_translation.key&quot;).to_s.index(&quot;translation missing&quot;)

But I feel like there should be a better way than that. What if rails in the future changes the &quot;translation missing&quot; to &quot;translation not found&quot;. Or what if for some weird reason the text contains &quot;translation missing&quot;. Any ideas?

I am about to create my first Android **native** (so not browser based) app and looking for some good practices regarding icon creating/provisioning.
Since it should support multiple devices/resolutions I thought it is best to use SVG to create them. There is at least this lib: http://code.google.com/p/svg-android/ that promises to offer support for SVG on Android.

So far, I have not found resources describing the usage of this or another library as a means to render SVG Icons on the device, so I am a bit reluctant in using it. The best I have seen so far is using SVG as the source format for pre-rendering png based icons in different resolutions.

So my questions is: Are SVG icons a good option to use directly on the device without a png pre-rendering step (does it work at all), and if, why does nobody seem to use this approach?

According to [Action Bar Icons][1] action bar icon for the mdpi screen should be 24 x 24 px but the icons in [Action Bar Icon Pack][2] for mdpi are 32 x 32 px. The sizes do not match for other screen sizes neither. So which one is correct and what dimensions should the action bar icon have?

How to style icon color, size, and shadow of Font Awesome Icons

When I&#39;m validating my app I get this error: 

&gt; the application bundle does not contain an icon in ICNS format, containing both a `512x512` and a `512x512@2x` image.
 
I use to make the icns icons with [Img2icns][1] app and until today it always worked properly. But now I&#39;m getting that error and there&#39;s no way to make it work. I tried to put two PNG files together (`512x512` and `1024x1024`) in [Img2icns][2] but I always get that error. I also tried to follow the instructions in Apple&#39;s OS X Human Interface Guideline but when I try to make the icon sets I get this terminal error:

&gt; -bash: syntax error near unexpected token &#39;newline&#39;

I am not very good with terminal commands so maybe I&#39;m doing something wrong. I wrote:

    iconutil -c icns &lt;/Users/myname/SDK Mac Apps/MyApp/grafica/icon.iconset&gt;

Well, it&#39;s working properly, but the thing is, this returns the country code like US or CA., and not the whole country name like United States or Canada.

So, is there any good alternative to hostip.info offers this?

I know that I can just write some code that will eventually turn this two letters to whole country name, but I&#39;m just too lazy to write a code that contains all countries...

P.S: For some reason I don&#39;t want to use any ready made CSV file or any code that will grab this information for me, something like ip2country ready made code and CSV.
