I believe you intended to use `layout_gravity` you are only using `gravity`??

Yes, you can combined two of these `layout_gravity` attributes together with the &#39;|&#39; as mentioned in the documentation: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/R.attr.html#layout_gravity

But even using `layout_gravity` instead of just `gravity` (as adamp stated in his comment), the settings you are trying to combine don&#39;t make sense.  You are telling it basically to align left and center along the same row.  Both `left` and `center_horizontal` in this case refer to horizontal positions.

Where are you trying to align the `TextView` relative to the parent?

Your parent layout is like a grid where you can select a position:

I&#39;m very new to unit testing and mocking! I&#39;m trying to write some unit tests that covers some code that interacts with a data store. Data access is encapsulated by IRepository&lt;T&gt;:

The code that I&#39;m trying to test, utilising a concrete IoC&#39;d implementation of IRepository looks like this:

So that I&#39;m testing the logic of SignupLogic.AddNewCompany() itself, rather than the logic and the concrete Repository, I&#39;m mocking up IRepository and passing it into SignupLogic. The mocked up Repository looks like this:

This test isn&#39;t passing.

Debugging through the unit test and AddNewCompany() as it runs, it would appear that existingCompany is always null. In desperation, I&#39;ve found that if I update SignupLogic.AddNewCompany() so that the call to FindBy looks like this:

    Company existingCompany = this.repo.FindBy(c =&gt; c.Name == &quot;Company Inc&quot;).FirstOrDefault();

the test passes, which suggests to me that Moq is only responding to code that is *exactly* the same as I&#39;ve setup in my test fixture. Obviously that&#39;s not especially useful in testing that any duplicate company is rejected by SignupLogic.AddNewCompany.

I&#39;ve tried setting up moq.FindBy(...) to use &quot;Is.ItAny&lt;string&gt;&quot;, but that doesn&#39;t cause the test to pass either.

From everything I&#39;m reading, it would appear that testing Expressions as I&#39;m trying to isn&#39;t actually do-able with Moq here. Is it possible? Please help!

I am attempting to update my android application to look better for tablets running Honeycomb. As such, I am targeting version 11 of the SDK (my minSdkVersion = 4). This adds the Honeycomb theme to my app, making it look better. However, I have no way to access my menu options. So, I am attempting to add my menu items as an action bar item with the following in the file in my /res/menu/ folder:

However, I get the following error:

FrameLayout margin not working

I&#39;m not sure to have understood well the role played by the several Android `/res/layout` folders.

`layout`: general layouts

`layout-port`: layout for widget that must change for portrait orientation

`layout-land`: layout for widget that must change for landscape orientation

For example in the [Home][1] sample application, under `layout-port` and `layout-land` folders there is only one `home.xml` file.

Have I understood right?

I have a `TextView` which I want to pin at the bottom of a landscape activity that is using `LinearLayout` with vertically arranged elements.  

I have set `android:gravity=&quot;bottom&quot;` on the text view, but it still likes to be just below the last element of the `LinearLayout` exactly what I do not want it to do.

Android Linear Layout - How to Keep Element At Bottom Of View?

I am trying to use the new Design TabLayout in my project. I want the layout to adapt to every screen size and orientation, but it can be seen correctly in one orientation.

I am dealing with Gravity and Mode setting my tabLayout as:

        tabLayout.setTabGravity(TabLayout.GRAVITY_CENTER);
        tabLayout.setTabMode(TabLayout.MODE_SCROLLABLE);

So I expect that if there is no room, the tabLayout is scrollable, but if there is room, it is centered.

From the guides:

So GRAVITY_FILL is compatible only with MODE_FIXED but, at is doesn&#39;t specify anything for GRAVITY_CENTER, I expect it to be compatible with MODE_SCROLLABLE, but this is what I get using GRAVITY_CENTER and MODE_SCROLLABLE

So it is using SCROLLABLE in both orientations, but it is not using GRAVITY_CENTER.

This is what I would expect for landscape; but to have this, I need to set MODE_FIXED, so what I get in portrait is:

Why is GRAVITY_CENTER not working for SCROLLABLE if the tabLayout fits the screen?
Is there any way to set gravity and mode dynamically (and to see what I am expecting)?
