You can drop the frames until you reach the point where you want to be. This isn&#39;t exactly stepping backwards, but it is quite similar in a lot of respects. 

Though as the comments mention below, this will not revert the global state of your application -- which isn&#39;t a huge concern if you&#39;re developing stateless services, but could be if you&#39;re developing swing applications (if anyone actually does that any more). 

On the debugger toolbar it looks like this: ![Drop Frame][1]. In `Idea 2016.3` the drop-frame icon changed to look like this [![drop frame in idea 2016.3][2]][2], and since `2019.3` it changed to look like this [![enter image description here][3]][3].

When I try to insert a record I get a following error:

I don&#39;t want to generate Guid manually. I just want to insert a record and get `Id` generated by SQL Server. If I set `.HasDatabaseGeneratedOption(DatabaseGeneratedOption.Identity)`, `Id` column is not Identity column in SQL Server.

Spring boot&#39;s preferred deployment method is via a executable jar file which contains tomcat inside.

It is started with a simple `java -jar myapp.jar`.

Now, I want to deploy that jar to my linux server on EC2, am I missing something or do I really need to create a init script to properly start the application as a daemon?

If I simply call `java -jar` the application dies when I log out.

I could start it in screen or nohup but that is not very elegant and a restart in my server would force me to log in and start the process manually.

So, is there something already for the task in spring boot?

I would like to know which programming language is better for natural language processing. *Java* or *Python*? I have found lots of questions and answers regarding about it. But I am still lost in choosing which one to use.

And I want to know which NLP library to use for Java since there are lots of libraries (LingPipe, GATE, OpenNLP, StandfordNLP). For Python, most programmers recommend NLTK.

But if I am to do some text processing or information extraction from **unstructured data** (just free formed plain English text) to get some useful information, what is the best option? Java or Python? Suitable library?

I&#39;m trying to use Android Studio, and the first time I boot it up, it takes like 45 MINUTES to compile... If I don&#39;t quit the application, it is okay - each subsequent compilation/running the app will take around 45 seconds.

I&#39;ve tried to check some of my caches: there&#39;s a `.gradle/caches` folder in my home directory, and it&#39;s contains 123 MB.

There&#39;s also a `.gradle` folder in my project folder... one of the `taskArtifacts` was like 200 MB. I&#39;m scared to just randomly nuke them both. What parts of the folders are safe to delete?

I have a spring boot application running fine with Intellij IDE. i.e i started the Application class that has the main method which delegates to SpringApplication.run. Everything works great except hotswap. When I change the source, I am forced to re-start the application. Even If I start the application in debug mode, I dont see hotswap working. I could see that Intellij&#39;s Debug settings have hotswap enabled.

My observation shows that when I run the springboot application, classpath used is my

/projects/MyProject/&lt;b&gt;classes/production/&lt;/b&gt;....
&lt;/pre&gt;

Files under `classes/production` are not getting updated when I change the code. Intellij IDE compiles the files but does not update classes/production directory. How do I get hotswap working with IntelliJ IDE for spring-boot?

Right now I am using the Darcula theme.  I want to change the default font to something else.  I go into `Editor &gt; Colors &amp; Fonts &gt; Font` but all the options are greyed out.  For `Editor Font` it shows `Show only monospaced fonts` as checked with `Primary font` as Monospaced, but neither of these can be changed.  I tried changing the font under `Appearance` but that just changes the font used around AS and not inside the editor.
