You need to use the proper git URL:

    pip install git+https://github.com/jkbr/httpie.git#egg=httpie

To install Python package from github, you need to clone that repository.

## What I want: ##

I have a clojure program on a remote site, let&#39;s call it `mccarthy`.
What I want to do is connect to a `nrepl-ritz` from my laptop, preferably using `nrepl-ritz-jack-in`.  The jack in works fine for a local program, but doesn&#39;t seem to connect to a remote program.

##Attempt 1##

Emacs appears to hang.  If I go to the `*nrepl-server*` buffer, I see this:

I am using `drip` on my laptop, but not on `mccarthy`, so clearly `nrepl-ritz-jack-in` is not detecting that it&#39;s a remote file.  Regular old `nrepl-jack-in` will work as expected in this case, however.

##Attempt 2##

I also tried starting an `nrepl-ritz` using `lein` on `mccarthy`:

    mattox@mccarthy$ lein ritz-nrepl
    nREPL server started on port 42874

From my laptop I forward a port so local `42874` connects to `42874` on `mccarthy`:

    ssh -L 42874:localhost:42874 -N mccarthy

Then, from my local Emacs:

    (require &#39;nrepl-ritz)

&lt;kbd&gt;M-x&lt;/kbd&gt; `nrepl`

Host: `127.0.0.1`

Port: `42874`

This gives me a connection:

    ; nREPL 0.1.7-preview
    user&gt; 

So to test it out, I run

&lt;kbd&gt;M-x&lt;/kbd&gt; `nrepl-ritz-threads`

It gives me a nice table of threads.

&lt;kbd&gt;M-x&lt;/kbd&gt; `nrepl-ritz-break-on-exception`

    user&gt; (/ 1 0)

##Result##

This hangs, but sometimes shows a hidden debugging buffer with some restarts available.  If I tell it to pass the exception back to the program, it never gives control back to the REPL.

I&#39;ve done plenty of searches but have not been able to get anything more specific than &quot;make sure lein is on your path&quot; (And I did do that, on both machines...).

However, I am not confident this is the right way to handle this scenario, and there is a bug that my control is not getting initialized with the value of the ng-model target field.

So I was able to solve this problem with a little bit of help from the internet and this is what I got:

But my question really is how to do it, but WHY. I understand that 1 is not considered a &quot;prime&quot; number even though it is, and I understand that if it divides by ANYTHING within the range it is automatically not a prime thus the return False statement. but my question is **what role does the squar-rooting the &quot;n&quot; play here**?

P.s. I am very inexperienced and have just been introduced to programming a month ago.

I set up a virtualenv environment on my Mac, but cannot get Pip to install packages. It fails with the following error:

    /Volumes/Macintosh: bad interpreter: No such file or directory

I tracked the problem down to there being a space in the path, as is answered here: https://stackoverflow.com/a/10873611/126564  
(the path being `/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Python/my_project`)

But that&#39;s a bit of a problem. The proposed solution is to:

&gt; &quot;just put your virtualenv environment in a path without a space,&quot;

but *the part with the space is the volume itself.* All of my paths would have a space, unless I stored them in a directory of `/`. And I don&#39;t think &quot;store your stuff outside of user space&quot; is a good solution.

I have an external package I want to install into my python virtualenv from a tar file.
What is the best way to install the package?

I&#39;ve discovered 2 ways that can do it:

 1. Extract the tar file, then run `python setup.py install` inside of the extracted directory.

You can `cd` to `YOUR_ENV/lib/pythonxx/site-packages/` and have a look, but is there any convenient ways? 

`pip freeze` list all the packages installed including the system environment&#39;s. 

How can I make a list of installed packages in a certain virtualenv?

I wanted to update pip on my main install of Python, specifically to get the list command. Which also includes the list- updates capability.

So I ran: 

    sudo pip install --upgrade pip
All looked good on the install but then I went to run pip and got this: (end of install included if it helps)
