With Eclipse 3.6, this seems doable by configuring your custom **Java &gt; Code Style &gt; Formatter** profile. Edit it and go to the **Line Wrapping** tab and select **Function Call &gt; Qualified invocations**. Then, in the **Settings for qualified invocations**, configure things like this:

This will (should) produce the expected result:  

    SomeEntity e1 = new SomeEntity.Builder()
        .age(10)
        .amount(10.0d)
        .firstname(&quot;foo&quot;)
        .lastname(&quot;bar&quot;)
        .build();

But this will obviously affect all the code, which I personally don&#39;t like. So I&#39;m using the new [**Off/On Tags**][2] from Eclipse 3.6 (last tab when editing a profile):

And enclose the parts that don&#39;t get formatted as I want and do it myself:

    // @formatter:off
    SomeEntity e2 = new SomeEntity.Builder()

Let’s say I have the following Bash script:

    while read SCRIPT_SOURCE_LINE; do

I noticed that for files without a newline at the end, this will effectively skip the last line.

I’ve searched around for a solution [and found this](http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/SuSE/2008-11/msg00237.html):

I have a project with several modules. When all tests pass, Maven test runs them all.

When tests fail in the first module, maven will not continue to the next project. I have testFailureIgnore set to true in Surefire settings, but it doesn&#39;t help.

From Eclipse, I found **I can easily export an Ant build file for my project**. It provides references to 3rd party libraries and some base targets. I&#39;m using it from my global build file. The only thing that bothers me about this, is that if something is modified in the project structure (like adding a new 3rd party library), we have to think (yes that can be hard sometimes!) about regenerating that build.xml file. **I&#39;m wondering if anyone here knows a way to have it updated automatically.** By &quot;automatically&quot; I mean that it would not be necessary to explicitly ask Eclipse to regenerate it every time it&#39;s needed. I don&#39;t know what could be the trigger though...

Any thoughts or knowledge on this?

I use Eclipse and I write jsp files with HTML5 content.
So I have for example this line:

In Eclipse I get the warning:

&gt;     Undefined attribute name (data-role)

I was using `readLine` of `BufferedReader` to get input/new password from user, but wanted to mask the password so I am trying to use `java.io.Console` class. I&#39;v written a plugin where it comes to parsing a XML tag. The content inside the tag is indented and when i copy the parsed string into the file it&#39;s gettting like:


        Example line
            This is part of the parsed line
            Thats goes one
        End of line


What I want is to remove all spaces in front of these lines, the final text should be 

    Example line
    This is part of the parsed line
    Thats goes one
    End of line

I&#39;ve tried to use `=` but it doesn&#39;t work the way I want. How can I do that with minimal key strokes ?

I&#39;m trying to display my code on a website but I&#39;m having problems preserving the whitespace indentation correctly.

For instance given the following snippet:

       &lt;/pre&gt;
     &lt;body&gt;
    &lt;/html&gt;

This is displayed in the browser as:

         end

When I would like it displayed as:

    Here is my code:

    def some_funtion
     return &#39;Hello, World!&#39;
    end

The difference is that that current indentation level of the HTML pre tag is being added to the indentation of the code. I&#39;m using nanoc as a static website generator and I&#39;m using google prettify to also add syntax highlighting.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?
