There is some thing you must be careful about, there is another function will similar spell `returnValue` without `s`, if you use that, jasmine will not warn you.

I would like to use the pipe-operator `%&gt;%` introduced in the `magrittr` package in a package I wrote myself to chain `dplyr` data transformations. `magrittr` is listed as `Import` in the `DESCRIPTION` file. After loading my own package and testing the function which uses the pipe-operator I get the following error message:

I am having some trouble getting a WKWebView in iOS 8 to display an alert dialog that is called from Javascript. After creating a standard WKWebView and loading an HTML file, I have a button on the page that creates a simple alert with some text. This works in UIWebView and in Google Chrome/Safari, but does not appear to be working in WKWebView. Any help is appreciated.

My setup is as follows:

Where:

But after using 

    subtract(1, &#39;months&#39;)

it returns date 

    DATE_FROM: &quot;2014-10-30&quot;

But last day of the 10&#39;th month is 31. 

How can I solve i please?

I want to save my time and reuse common code across classes that extend PIXI classes (a 2d webGl renderer library).

I&#39;m using [DynamoDB local][1] for unit testing. It&#39;s not bad, but has some drawbacks. Specifically:

* You have to somehow start the server before your tests run
* The server isn&#39;t started and stopped before each test so tests become inter-dependent unless you add code to delete all tables, etc. after each test
* All developers need to have it installed

What I want to do is something like put the DynamoDB local jar, and the other jars upon which it depends, in my `test/resources` directory (I&#39;m writing in Java). Then before each test I&#39;d start it up, running with `-inMemory`, and after the test I&#39;d stop it. That way anyone pulling down the git repo gets a copy of everything they need to run the tests and each test is independent of the others.

I have found a way to make this work, but it&#39;s ugly, so I&#39;m looking for alternatives. The solution I have is to put a .zip file of the DynamoDB local stuff in `test/resources`, then in the `@Before` method, I&#39;d extract it to some temporary directory and start a new java process to execute it. That works, but it&#39;s ugly and has some drawbacks:

* Everyone needs the java executable on their `$PATH`
* I have to unpack a zip to the local disk. Using local disk is often dicey for testing, especially with continuous builds and such.
* I have to spawn a process and wait for it to start for each unit test, and then kill that process after each test. Besides being slow, the potential for left-over processes seems ugly.

It seems like there should be an easier way. DynamoDB Local is, after all, just Java code. Can&#39;t I somehow ask the JVM to fork itself and look inside the resources to build a classpath? Or, even better, can&#39;t I just call the `main` method of DynamoDB Local from some other thread so this all happens in a single process? Any ideas?

PS: I am aware of Alternator, but it appears to have other drawbacks so I&#39;m inclined to stick with Amazon&#39;s supported solution if I can make it work.

Easier DynamoDB local testing

Java 8 introduced `java.time.Clock` which can be used as an argument to many other `java.time` objects, allowing you to inject a real or fake clock into them. For example, I know you can create a `Clock.fixed()` and then call `Instant.now(clock)` and it will return the fixed `Instant` you provided. This sounds perfect for unit testing!

However, I&#39;m having trouble figuring out how best to use this. I have a class, similar to the following:

            Instant now = Instant.now(clock);
            // Do something with &#39;now&#39;
        }
    }

Now, I want to unit test this code. I need to be able to set `clock` to produce fixed times so that I can test `method()` at different times. Clearly, I could use reflection to set the `clock` member to specific values, but it would be nice if I didn&#39;t have to resort to reflection. I could create a public `setClock()` method, but that feels wrong. I don&#39;t want to add a `Clock` argument to the method because the real code shouldn&#39;t be concerned with passing in a clock.

What is the best approach for handling this? This is new code so I could reorganize the class.

Edit: To clarify, I need to be able to construct a single `MyClass` object but be able to have that one object see two different clock values (as if it were a regular system clock ticking along). As such, I cannot pass a fixed clock into the constructor.

Unit testing a class with a Java 8 Clock

I&#39;m trying to fiddle with Ecmascript 6 modules using webpack + traceur to transpile to ES5 CommonJS, but I&#39;m having trouble successfully unit testing them.

I tried using Jest + traceur preprocessor, but the automocking and dependency names seem to get screwy, plus I can&#39;t seem to get sourceMaps to work with Jest and node-inspector debugging.

Is there a better framework to unit test ES6 modules?

 I&#39;m trying to verify that a (void) method is being called inside of a DAO - I&#39;m using a commit point that sends a list of results up to that point, resets the list and continues.
 Say I have 4 things in the list and I have a commit point of 1, I would expect the &quot;send&quot; method to be called 4 times.
 I can verify that the method gets called once by writing

 `Mockito.verify(mock).send()`
 
it passes.. but I want to verify the number of times it was called. I would think that

`Mockito.verify(mock.send(), times(4))`

would be sufficient, but it says the parameters are not correct for verify. 

Incidentally, if I change  `Mockito.verify(mock).send()` to  `Mockito.verify(mock.send())` or  `Mockito.verify((mock).send())` I get the same error. Thoughts on this?

So in unittest, it was easy to put bunch of tests together that could go under one class and then use many different variables (varA and varB) for different methods. In pytest, I created a fixture in conftest.py instead of a class in unittest, like this...

1. Since I can&#39;t just declare local variables in conftest.py as I can&#39;t simply import this file. Is there a better way of declaring different variables here that can be used in different functions in test_this.py ? I have five different configurations in my actual testing for these variables, defining that many different fixtures in conftest.py and use them as function argument in five different functions in test_this.py sounds painful, I would rather go back to unittest class structure, define my variables and pick and choose what I want

2. Should I just declare global variables in test_this.py and use them in the functions the way I want ? Seems a bit not pythonic. This variables are only used by the functions in this file.

3. Let&#39;s say I have test_that.py and test_them.py as well. If I have some shared variables between these different files, how would I declare them ? just create a file calle variables.py in the directory where all these test files are and do an import whenever I need ? This way I can keep all data in a separate.

4. Is it my impression that pytest discourages using a class to organize your functions ? Every example I read online, it all seem to employ bunch of functions with fixtures only. What is a configuration of defining class and methods and organize tests in pytest ?

5. I have a test scenario where I have to use result of one function into another. With pytest, I have an assert that is at the end of a function not a return so I won&#39;t be able to use this function  as a fixture. How do I accomplish this ? I know this is not a good practice that my one test relies on another but is there a work around ?

Within the nested `describe()` scope, the `orchard` object is undefined, even though it&#39;s defined within the `it()` blocks within it.

Is this intentional on the part of Jasmine&#39;s developers, possibly to avoid issues with resetting the object in `beforeEach()` and possible breaking some references?  How do they make it happen? I could see how this might be useful, I&#39;m just very curious as to how it works. (My guess is some `apply()` or `call()` magic, but I&#39;m not sure how...)

I&#39;m running into an issue where when I run my tests on Jasmine, I get this error below.  The problem is, it seems to happen when I try to execute a certain amount of tests.  It doesn&#39;t seem to be tied to a particular test, as if I comment out some, the tests pass.  If I uncomment some tests, the error appears.  If I comment out ones that were uncommented before, they all pass again.  (ie if I have red, green, blue and orange test and it fails, I comment out orange and blue it passes, then I uncomment blue and orange it fails again, but if I comment out red and green it passes again).
