 8. Install [Internet&amp;nbsp;Explorer&amp;nbsp;10 here][7] (old broken [link][6])

Go to installed updates and just uninstall Internet&amp;nbsp;Explorer&amp;nbsp;11 Windows update. It works for me.


1. Save and close all Internet Explorer windows and then, run Windows Task Manager to end the running processes in background.
2. Go to Control Panel.
3. Click Programs and choose the View installed updates instead.
4. Locate the following Windows Internet Explorer 11 or you can type &quot;Internet Explorer&quot; for a quick search.
5. Choose the Yes option from the following &quot;Uninstall an update&quot;.
6. Please wait while Windows Internet Explorer 10 is being restored and reconfigured automatically.
7. Follow the Microsoft Windows wizard to restart your system.

Note: You can do it for as many earlier versions you want, i.e. IE9, IE8 and so on.

But that question is a couple years old.  And Razor formatting is *still* completely unacceptable. I have given up on fixing it.

Can I disable ALL Visual Studio formatting for CSHTML files? If not, can I disable all Visual Studio formatting entirely? Any 3rd party hacks I can use? There&#39;s got to be something!

I&#39;ve upgraded to 2013 and the formatting is just as bad.

How to downgrade from Internet Explorer 11 to Internet Explorer 10?

I have this in my Angular.js controller that downloads a CSV file:

How to clear localStorage in IE10 &amp; IE11 from developer tool?

I have a graph plugin that inserts canvas and a legend `&lt;table&gt;` to its container. In this plugin the `table` has no `width` defined and in my CSS there is a width for tables inside that container were my plugin gets inserted.

So, the new div is inheriting `table{ width: 100%}` from the CSS and rendering wrong.

I tried to use `width: initial;`, looks good on Chrome but [**IE doesn&#39;t like it**][1] &lt;sup&gt;check browser compatibility&lt;/sup&gt;

I admit changing/forcing a inline CSS in the script/plugin since it has to work in any enviroment.

What is the best solution here?

I know IE 11 has different user agent string than all other IE

The `localStorage` object in Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 7 build) contains string representations of certain functions instead of native calls as you would expect.

This only breaks with vanilla JavaScript and sites like JSFiddle have no problem with this code but I suspect it&#39;s because there are `localStorage` polyfills in place that correct it.

Take this HTML page code for example:

Taking a look at what type the `setItem` function actually is in the IE developer tools console, states that it&#39;s a string...?

Printing out the string for `setItem` displays the following:

Changing the document mode (emulation) to 10 or 9 still doesn&#39;t resolve the problem and both result in the same error. Changing the document mode to 8 gives the following error &#39;***Object doesn&#39;t support this property or method***&#39; which is expected since IE8 doesn&#39;t support `localStorage`.

Is anyone else having the same issue with IE11 on Windows 7 where the `localStorage` object seems &#39;broken/corrupt&#39;?

JavaScript localStorage object broken in IE11 on Windows 7

In IE 11, I&#39;m getting funny results with ToLocaleDateString(). The string returned looks fine in the browser, e.g. &quot;1/28/2014 11:00:46 AM&quot;, but then if I copy and paste that value into a plain text editor, it looks like this: &quot;?1?/?28?/?2014 ?11?:?00?:?46? ?AM&quot;.

Interestingly, if I paste the text into a Microsoft product, it looks fine... The issue is that if you try to use the value programmatically to create a date, it&#39;s invalid. You can test this by just opening up a console in IE11 and creating a new date, using ToLocaleDateString() on it, and then trying to use the resulting string to create a new date in javascript or in the language of your choice (I&#39;m using ASP.NET here...).

Am I doing something wrong, or is there some other way I&#39;m supposed to be interacting with the javascript Date? How can I get rid of those funky symbols?

**Edit:**
Thanks to the comment below I was able to figure out what the unshown characters are, they&#39;re Left-To-Right marks. Depending on the editor I paste the values into and the encoding that the editor is set to use, the text will show up differently: sometimes with &quot;?&quot;, sometimes without.
