I decided it was high time I learned how to use Leak Canary to detect Leaks within my apps, and as I always do, I tried to implement it in my project to really understand how to use the tool. Implementing it was easy enough, the difficult part was reading what the tool is throwing back at me.
I have a scrollview that seems to accumulate memory in the memory manager as I scroll up and down (even though It doesnt load any new data) so I thought that was a good candidate object to track leaks on, this is the result:

It looks like v7.widget.RecyclerView is leaking the adapter, and not my application. But that can&#39;t be right.... right?

I have gone through many questions like this on Google Play, I am using **Android 4.2.2 API 17**. 

My app requires Google play services 8.1 , It compiles fine and when it runs on emulator it shows message that **&#39;You need to update your Google play services &#39;** , 

When I click on update nothing happens, 

**How can I update the Google Play services  without downloading any latest API version ?**

i&#39;m trying to use this function on nexus 5 api 23 and its just not showing me the dialog box like its supposed to do, it&#39;s just not doing anything.

OK, this is a strange one that I didn&#39;t think was even possible.

So, ever since I&#39;ve been using a Nexus 5X, the SharedPreferences are not getting wiped when I uninstall my app.

I install the app through Android Studio and test things. I then uninstall the app. I then resintall the app through Android Studio and all the SharedPreferences values are still there.

I&#39;ve tried clearing the data/cache in addition to uninstalling. The SharedPreferences are persistent through all those attempts.

I am using stock Android 6.0 on a Nexus 5X. My device is not rooted. I am not using a custom ROM. I do not have this issue with my Nexus 4. 

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Actually I have a text *(the color of this text is dynamic, its color can be made at random)*. That text is into a `div` and I need to set the opposite color of that text for the `background-color` of `div`. I would like that text be **clear** in the `div` *(color perspective)*.

Say I have a color in Matplotlib.  Maybe it&#39;s a string (`&#39;k&#39;`) or an rgb tuple (`(0.5, 0.1, 0.8)`) or even some hex (`#05FA2B`).  Is there a command / convenience function in Matplotlib that would allow me to darken (or lighten) that color.  

I.e. is there `matplotlib.pyplot.darken(c, 0.1)` or something like that?  I guess what I&#39;m hoping for is something that, behind the scenes, would take a color, convert it to HSL, then either multiply the L value by some given factor (flooring at 0 and capping at 1) or explicitly set the L value to a given value and return the modified color.

I&#39;m creating a Color Picker tool and for the HSL slider, I need to be able to convert RGB to HSL. When I searched SO for a way to do the conversion, I found this question [HSL to RGB color conversion][1].

While it provides a function to do conversion from RGB to HSL, I see no explanation to what&#39;s really going on in the calculation. To understand it better, I&#39;ve read the [HSL and HSV][2] on Wikipedia.

Later, I&#39;ve rewritten the function from the &quot;HSL to RGB color conversion&quot; using the calculations from the &quot;HSL and HSV&quot; page.

I&#39;m stuck at the calculation of hue if the R is the max value. See the calculation from the &quot;HSL and HSV&quot; page:
