Names for `.ui`, `.h` and `.cpp` files can just be changed inside Qt Creator.

The name of the `.pro` file is a bit more involved. The simplest is probably to copy the project, rename the `.pro` file, and reopen. 

Qt Creator also uses its own config file, `.pro.user`, for changes you do in the project and build settings. You can just delete the `.pro.user`-file, and it&#39;ll generate a new one. If you&#39;ve made changes to the settings and the build process, you can rename that file as well, but remember to read through it and check build paths etc.

 - Open the terminal or folder structure where the current project is stored; e.g. in Linux you may right click on .pro file and &quot;open in terminal&quot;
 - Close the Qt creator completely
 - Rename the containing folder also to `new_name`
 - Rename the `old_name.pro` to `new_name.pro`
 - Inside the `new_name.pro`, rename the `TARGET = new_name`
 - You may delete the debug &amp; release folders of `old_name` project which were stored in parallel to the `old_name` folder
 - Restart the Qt creator; Open the project `new_name.pro`

`Tkinter`  seems the only way to go in Python 3 (don&#39;t suggest Python 2), and `ttk` gave me hope for good-looking GUI.

So I keep getting this error when trying to compile C++ code using CodeBlocks.

&gt; cannot open output file [filename.exe] permission denied

It only started today, and it&#39;s sporadic and inconsistent.  It usually goes away if I shut CodeBlocks down and restart the project, but not always.  Sometimes it even goes away when I just press F9 (build &amp; run) several times.  I always check Task Manager, but there are never any .EXEs running with my file&#39;s name, or anything related to it.  

I&#39;ve also noticed that if this problem occurs and I then try to delete the .EXE manually or otherwise interact with it, Windows tells me I need administrator permission to do so (this is a private PC, and as far as I know I am an administrator on it).

The first time it occurred, the only thing I had added to the code beyond what was in the previous version was a debugging report sent to cout - hardly anything arcane.  It sometimes occurs even when no code was changed from a previous version.

What could this be?  It&#39;s not game-breaking, yet, but it&#39;s irritating and I&#39;d rather it didn&#39;t get worse.

EDIT: This is old by now, but just in case anyone else is having similar problems, the workaround I currently use is just to consistently delete [filename.exe] before trying to run the code again.  This avoids the problem, though it is annoying.

I am trying to create a simple configuration file that looks like this

    url = http://mysite.com
    file = main.exe
    true = 0
when the program runs, I would like it to load the configuration settings into the programs variables listed below.

    string url, file;
    bool true_false;
I have done some research and [this][1] link seemed to help (nucleon&#39;s post) but I can&#39;t seem to get it to work and it is too complicated to understand on my part. Is there a simple way of doing this? I can load the file using `ifstream` but that is as far as I can get on my own. Thanks!

I have a qmake file generated by Qt creator.
I am modifying it but I do not manage to understand how to create a variable.

For example, I want to declare the library MYPATH as I did here:

    MYPATH = /lib/aaa/bbb

When I run qmake I find in the generated makefile

    LIBS = ....... -L$(MYPATH) .....

But the MYPATH variable is not declared anywhere.
