I know the `=` operator can&#39;t be overloaded, but there must be a way to do what I want here:

I&#39;m just creating classes to represent quantitative units, since I&#39;m doing a bit of physics. Apparently I can&#39;t just inherit from a primitive, but I want my classes to behave exactly like primitives -- I just want them typed differently.

So I&#39;d be able to go,

    Velocity ms = 0;
    ms = 17.4;
    ms += 9.8;

etc.

I&#39;m not sure how to do this. I figured I&#39;d just write some classes like so:

    class Power
    {
        private Double Value { get; set; }

        //operator overloads for +, -, /, *, =, etc
    }

But apparently I can&#39;t overload the assignment operator. Is there any way I can get this behavior?

I am going to use `NSHTTPCookieStorage` in an iOS App to manage cookies that are retrieved from a url, and I understand that it will manage cookies during your application&#39;s runtime. However, I was wondering if it&#39;s possible to persist cookies after the application has closed. And then read those cookies again when the app is opened again. Does `NSHTTPCookieStorage` persist cookies between app uses? Or just during the applications runtime? Do I need to use `CoreData` to persist these cookies?`

I am showing a modal view which is a `UITableViewController` class.  For some reason it won&#39;t show the navigation bar when I show it.  Here is my code:

My app is using in-app purchases, and most of my users can purchase just fine without any problems. For these folks, my app downloads the content after the purchase succeeds and they are happy.

However, for a growing number of my users, once they complete a successful in-app purchase they are being asked for their App Store password every time the app starts up after that. I believe this is happening on the call to:

    [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] addTransactionObserver:observer];

which I am calling on startup in accordance with step 6 in Apple&#39;s in-app purchase guide:

My guess is that, for some reason, Apple&#39;s in-app purchase servers aren&#39;t registering that the transaction finished successfully - even though I call

    [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction:transaction];

when the transaction is completed and my content has been successfully downloaded.

2 questions:

1. Is anyone else seeing this?

2. Does anyone have a suggested fix?

Its a transaction which was made with a different Apple-ID. Thats why it cannot be finished unless you type in the right credentials into the dialog. The Question should be either: 

 1. How can I prevent such dead transactions (transaction has not been finished, user has no network, meanwhile changes App-ID)?
 2. How can you prune the `SkPaymentQueue`?

Let&#39;s say we have an application with a deployment target set to 3.0 and we want to raise the deployment target to 3.2.  Normally, the App Store won&#39;t let the App be installed on devices with an IOS version less then this, but what about devices which already had the App installed prior to the update?  Will they see the update but won&#39;t be able to install, will they just not see the update or, heavens forbid, will be able to install and the app just won&#39;t start?

I searched everywhere for this, but I can&#39;t find anything about raising the minimum OS version for an app update.

Is there a way using either iTunes connect or the API to check the total number of application sales for a particular app since release. I am just curious as ITC on the iPhone only seems to show 26 weeks when displaying totals, so it missed off the first 20+ weeks. (the app has been out for about 50 weeks).

I would just like to see **Release to Now, total sales = 4067** is this possible?

I have app in App Store, I submitted version 1.1, after Apple reviewed, approved and published it, I noticed there is a clear major bug, so I had to suspend my app from App Store.

**My scenario**

I wrote an iOS app for a client. The project is almost over and now it&#39;s time for them to put it in the App Store. I&#39;ve been sending them development builds throughout the development process. Those builds had a bundle id based on my company and my client&#39;s project like so: `com.mycompany.clientname.projectname`. I signed those Ad Hoc builds with an Ad Hoc Distribution Provisioning Profile that I created in my own Provisioning Portal account.

Now that it&#39;s time to go to the App Store, I need to do a Release Build and send that for them to sign with their own App Store Distribution Provisioning Profile. This also implies setting a new Bundle ID for the project.

**My problem**

I need to get a compiled app to the client for them to sign with their provisioning profile. However, I need to set the Bundle ID to what they&#39;re going to use first. Let&#39;s say it&#39;s `com.bestclientever.appname`. Xcode 4 won&#39;t let me archive the project now because doing so requires code signing. I can not code sign it because I can not create a provisioning profile with the same Bundle ID as what they have set up in their Provisioning Portal (the Provisioning Portal enforces uniqueness—as it should). 

*Have I made any incorrect assumptions or misunderstandings here? ie. Do I really have to set the Bundle ID to what they&#39;re going to sign with?*

**The Question**

Is there any way to archive, or otherwise build, an iOS app without code signing it? Like a &quot;sign later&quot; setting or something? 

Or, is there a way to build the app with one bundle id but then someone else be able to sign it with a provisioning profile for another bundle id (either by changing the bundle id of the compiled app or some other signing method)?

*How can I build the final release build but have someone else sign the app for distribution to the App Store?*

**What I&#39;ve tried or explored**

 - Acting for the client.
  - With other, less savvy clients, I&#39;ve ended up just getting their Provisioning Portal and iTunesConnect credentials and just doing the final build as them. That won&#39;t fly with this client. It&#39;s a big company with strict security guidelines and a lot of red tape.
 - Spoofing as the client.
  - This is similar to the one above and won&#39;t work for the same reasons. It sounds really fishy to ask my client &quot;can you export your _private_ keys and send them to me&quot;? This technique is described in this answer: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4919937/how-can-i-send-ios-app-to-client-for-them-to-code-sign/4920008#4920008
 - Sending the client my project source code and letting them do the release build.
  - A license to the source code was not in our agreement. Additionally, this client does not want to get involved with source code (hence outsourcing it). I would entertain this as a last-resort option, but there&#39;s gotta be a better way!
 - Getting set up as an Admin-level developer in their Developer Member Center.
  - Unfortunately, only the Agent-level user can create a Provisioning Profile (as far as I can tell). It seems like there ought to be a way to either let me create a profile that I can use to sign the build or generate a profile for me. I can&#39;t find either option.

For fun, I did try signing the framework bundle directly and it was still rejected. But that is exactly what the documentation said not to do.

Any guesses why that would be considered invalid? I am using the same cert that I use to code sign my app -- the one that has worked in the past.

My only guess would be something to do with the existing plists (do I need to own the identifiers in the framework&#39;s Info.plists?) or entitlements -- any suggestions?
