I am the author of spring cloud gateway. Zuul is built on servlet 2.5 (works with 3.x), using blocking APIs. It doesn&#39;t support any long lived connections, like websockets.

Gateway is built on Spring Framework 5, Project Reactor and Spring Boot 2 using non-blocking APIs. Websockets are supported and it&#39;s a much better developer experience since it&#39;s tightly integrated with Spring.

In recent Android Architecture Components library released by Google, we have two static functions in the `Transformations` class. While the `map` function is straight forward and easily understandable, I am finding it hard to properly understand the `switchMap` function.

The official documentation of switchMap can be found [here][1].

Can somebody explain how and where to use the switchMap function with a practical example?

How and where to use Transformations.switchMap?

I&#39;m writing a batch program for copying all files *newer than the destination* from &quot;C:\Users\ADMIN\Desktop&quot; to &quot;D:\Backup&quot;. 

This code is works:

    xcopy &quot;C:\Users\ADMIN\Desktop\*.*&quot; &quot;D:\Backup\&quot; /K /D /H

However, it asks for each existing destination file: `Overwrite file [Yes / No / All]?`

I want to **overwrite** all existing destination files **without** user intervention.

How can I solve this?

Why is the Zuul not extended to support the functionalities in S-C-Gateway? What was the driving factor for a new library altogether? When should it be used?

I just migrate to spring mvc version `5.0.1.RELEASE` but suddenly in eclipse STS WebMvcConfigurerAdapter is marked as deprecated

The type WebMvcConfigurerAdapter is deprecated

Not sure if this is a bug with Spring 5.0.3 or a new feature to fix things on my end.

After the upgrade, I am getting this error. Interestingly this error is only on my local machine. Same code on test environment with HTTPS protocol works fine.

The reason I am getting this error is because my URL for loading the resultant JSP page is `/location/thisPage.jsp`. Evaluating code `request.getRequestURI()` gives me result `/WEB-INF/somelocation//location/thisPage.jsp`. If I fix URL of JSP page to this `location/thisPage.jsp`, things work fine. 

So my question is, should I remove `/` from `JSP` path in code because that&#39;s what is required going forward. Or `Spring` has introduced a bug as the only difference between my machine and test environment is protocol `HTTP` versus `HTTPS`.

Spring 5.0.3 RequestRejectedException: The request was rejected because the URL was not normalized

I have written a spring batch application using Spring boot. When I am trying to run that application using command line and classpath on my local system it is running fine. However, when I tried to run it on linux server it is giving me following exception
    
    Unable to start web server; nested exception is
    org.springframework.context.ApplicationContextException: 
    Unable to start ServletWebServerApplicationContext due to missing ServletWebServerFactory bean.

ApplicationContextException: Unable to start ServletWebServerApplicationContext due to missing ServletWebServerFactory bean

When i try to navigate to an endpoint i get the following error
&gt;Type definition error: [simple type, class org.hibernate.proxy.pojo.bytebuddy.ByteBuddyInterceptor]; nested exception is com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.exc.InvalidDefinitionException: No serializer found for class org.hibernate.proxy.pojo.bytebuddy.ByteBuddyInterceptor and no properties discovered to create BeanSerializer (to avoid exception, disable SerializationFeature.FAIL_ON_EMPTY_BEANS)  

I checked all my models and all the attributes have getters and setters. So what&#39;s the problem ?

I can fix that by adding `spring.jackson.serialization.fail-on-empty-beans=false` but i think this is just a work around to hide the exception.
