Sure, use the [.format][1] method. E.g.,

    print(&#39;{:10s} {:3d} &#160;{:7.2f}&#39;.format(&#39;xxx&#39;, 123, 98))
    print(&#39;{:10s} {:3d} &#160;{:7.2f}&#39;.format(&#39;yyyy&#39;, 3, 1.0))
    print(&#39;{:10s} {:3d} &#160;{:7.2f}&#39;.format(&#39;zz&#39;, 42, 123.34))

will print

    xxx        123    98.00
    yyyy         3     1.00
    zz          42   123.34

You can adjust the field sizes as desired. Note that `.format` works independently of `print` to format a string. I just used print to display the strings. Brief explanation:

&gt; `10s` format a string with 10 spaces, left justified by default
&gt;
&gt; `3d` format an integer reserving 3 spaces, right justified by default
&gt; 
&gt; `7.2f` format a float, reserving 7 spaces, 2 after the decimal point,
&gt; right justfied by default.

There are many additional options to position/format strings (padding, left/right justify etc), [String Formatting Operations][2] will provide more information.

Update for f-string mode. E.g.,

I&#39;ve found that != and == are not the fastest ways for testing for zero or non-zero.

This is the assembly output for x86-32. The second versions of both comparisons were ~12% faster on both x86-32 and x86-64. However, on x86-64 the instructions were identical (first versions looked exactly like the second versions), but the second versions were still faster.

1. Why doesn&#39;t the compiler generate the faster version on x86-32?
2. Why are the second versions still faster on x86-64 when the assembly output is identical?

Note: It&#39;s probably inconvenient to locate these functions when compiled in a single source file, because main.asm goes quite big. I had zero1, zero2, nonZero1, nonZero2 in a separate source file.

I am following the Python tutorial and at some point they talk about how the 1st statement of a function can be a String Literal. As far as the example goes, this String Literal seems to be done with three `&quot;`s, giving in the [example][1]

Here I compare:

But when I do the hardcode: It works.

what is the problem? The `article.creator` is coming from the database and the `user.username` is from the request.

Python 3: UnboundLocalError: local variable referenced before assignment

I have read the documentation for this function, however, I dont think I understand it properly. If anyone can tell me what I&#39;m missing, or if I am correct, it would be a great help. Here is my understanding:

using the `shutil.rmtree(path)` function, it will delete only the directory specified, not the entire path. IE:

`shutil.rmtree(&#39;user/tester/noob&#39;)`

using this, it would only delete the &#39;noob&#39; directory correct? not the complete path?
