&lt;kbd&gt;CMD&lt;/kbd&gt;+&lt;kbd&gt;L&lt;/kbd&gt; will do it... This seems to have changed in Xcode 4.

Is there any way to check if an extra has been passed when starting an Activity?

I would like to do something like (on the `onCreate()` in the Activity):

		Bundle extras = getIntent().getExtras();
		String extraStr = extras.getString(&quot;extra&quot;);
		
		if (extraStr == null) {
			extraStr = &quot;extra not set&quot;;
		}

But this is throwing a `java.lang.NullPointerException`.

What&#39;s the difference between `iconv()` and `mb_convert_encoding()` in PHP?  Does one perform better, faster, etc. ( eg. with specific encodings )? In what situations would one be preferred over the other?

Here&#39;s what I think I know already:

**iconv()**

1. included with most installs of PHP.
2. when characters that can&#39;t be mapped to the new character set are found, you can specify if they are converted to a &#39;similar&#39; character, or ignored.

**mb_convert_encoding()**

1. usually requires installing the php-mbstring extension.
2. is able to handle `HTML-ENTITIES`, converting to and from web hex codes.

I know how to rename the project in Xcode 4, but how do you rename the source folder? The thing is that renaming the project in Xcode, does only rename within Xcode (Though it is progress compared to previous) - but why Xcode is not renaming the folder in the filesystem I don&#39;t know.

This is the code:

       [self.navigationController pushViewController:controller animated:YES];

I have already set the `identifier` on the `UIStoryboard` but I&#39;m still getting this error.

I pressed &lt;kbd&gt;alt&lt;/kbd&gt;+&lt;kbd&gt;cmd&lt;/kbd&gt;+&lt;kbd&gt;r&lt;/kbd&gt; and activated NSZombieEnabled in Arguments &gt; Environment Variables. Additionally, I activated it in Diagnostics &gt; Memory Management &gt; Enable Zombie Objects.

However, when I built and run, at some point my app crashes giving me this useless message in the console:

    *** -[CALayer retainCount]: message sent to deallocated instance 0x656b260

The stack trace is just as useless. I moved the details-level slider all the way to the right. Thread 1 simply shows me this:

Everything is system-owned and there&#39;s not a single line related to my app. So obviously NSZombiesEnabled doesn&#39;t work as it did in Xcode 3, where it halted on the dead object.

Is there any way to figure out *which* CALayer is deallocated too early?

Update: So after building and running about 100 more times suddenly the problem DISAPPEARED! It&#39;s completely gone! And the best part: I did not modify my code in any way! Inbetween I cleaned the build folder and project with the clean commands several times and deleted the app in the Simulator several times as well.

Update 2: Fortunately the problem re-appeared. And now it seems persistent. Fortunately, because I prefer finding the root cause rather than annoying the users by random.

Update 3: Finally found it by accident:

    startButton = newBttn;

should have been:

    self.startButton = newBttn;

startButton was a retaining property and in -dealloc I released it. So it got overreleased and in most (but not all) cases after the view faded out it crashed giving that weird CALayer retainCount message.

The Zombies Instrument (CMD + I) finally pointed out that it had to do with a button. Just didn&#39;t know why and where.

Clang Static Analyzer didn&#39;t complain about this obvious glitch.

I am trying to make 

&lt;kbd&gt;CTRL&lt;/kbd&gt; + &lt;kbd&gt;D&lt;/kbd&gt; - exit Powershell console

and

&lt;kbd&gt;CTRL&lt;/kbd&gt; + &lt;kbd&gt;L&lt;/kbd&gt; - clear the screen

like in bash.

So far, I have seen that we can define

    function ^D {exit}

but that means I have to do CTRL+D and then hit enter for it to work.

Also, it doesn&#39;t even let me define

    function ^L {exit}

Is there anyway to add these key bindings in the default Powershell console?

I&#39;m running Ubuntu 11.04. I installed the [Terminator Terminal Emulator][1] 0.95, and Zsh, version 4.3.15. &lt;br/&gt;
I have (commonly known) problems with my keys inside the Zsh. At least these:

 - Home/End, nothing happens
 - Insert/Delete/PageUp/PageDown: a &quot;~&quot; is typed

I already tried some configurations for .zshrc which should solve the problem, but no approach really worked so far. Maybe this is related to the combination of Terminator and Zsh. I took the 2 configs on this page: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=428669. 


Does oneone have a similar configuration (especially Terminator and Zsh) and figured out what needs to be inserted into the .zshrc to fix the key settings?
