I have a controller calling a view. In the view there is a `PartialView` called be `@Html.Partial(&quot;ViewName&quot;, model).` This works fine.

But in the `controller` I wish to put something in the viewbag what would be hard to put in the viewmodel I pass to the view.
The main view have no problem accessing the `ViewBag`, but in the `PartialView` it does not return anything.

Is it possible to use the `ViewBag` in this case or should I &quot;hack&quot; this data into the model I pass to the view (and the model I pass to the `PartialView`, and the model I pass to the `PartialView` nested in the first `PartialView`)?

I&#39;m looking for an interactive graphing library for Python. 

By &quot;[graph][1]&quot;, I meant a set of nodes connected by a set of vertices (not a plot of values over x-y axis, nor a grid of pixels).

By &quot;interactive&quot;, I meant I can drag-and-drop the nodes around and I need to be able to click on the nodes/vertices and have the library pass the nodes/vertices to my callbacks, which may add/remove nodes/vertices or display information (I cannot load the full graph at startup as the dataset is too large/complex; instead I&#39;ll be loading only the necessary slices of data depending on user inputs).

By Python, I meant the programming language [Python][2], the graphing library should have CPython binding. I have Python 2.7 and Python 3.1, but can downgrade to 2.6 if necessary. This language requirement is because the dataset I&#39;m working with only have Python binding.

The graphing library must support [directed graph](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directed_graph) and be able to layout the nodes automatically. I need to put labels on the nodes.

Preferably, the layouting algorithm should place adjacent nodes near each other. It should be able to handle from 100-1000 nodes and about 300-4000 vertices reasonably in my 4 year old laptop (I typically start with around 100 nodes, but the number might expand depending on user input). Preferably it should be a library with not too many dependencies (except perhaps for Gnome). Open source is preferred.

I have already written a simple prototype of my program using Tkinter Canvas, but I need a more serious graphing library to expand the program. I&#39;ve looked at graphviz and matplotlib, but apparently they&#39;re only for working with static graphs and apparently would need significant amount of work to do interactive manipulations (correct me if I&#39;m wrong, I&#39;ve only looked at them briefly). I&#39;ve also tried generating the graph to an SVG file and using Inkscape to view it, but it&#39;s too slow and takes too much memory and because of the sheer number of vertices it becomes a tangled mess.

In his section on Graphs, he states:

The pros and cons of matrix and adjacency list representations are described in CLRS, but I haven&#39;t been able to find a resource that compares these to an object representation. 

Just by thinking about it, I can infer some of this myself, but I&#39;d like to make sure I haven&#39;t missed something important. If someone could describe this comprehensively, or point me to a resource which does so, I would greatly appreciate it.


Comparing object graph representation to adjacency list and matrix representations

I am in need of Java library for graphs that supports dynamic visualization. I need to have objects moving between the vertices and this has to be shown. 3D is not needed, a 2D representation will suffice.

I am currently using *JUNG* but it is very limited, it is more for static graphs from what I can tell.

I have looked at [this][1] question but *JGraphT* doesn&#39;t seem to do it either.

Java graph library for dynamic visualisation

I am the developer of some family tree software (written in C++ and Qt). I had no problems until one of my customers mailed me a bug report. The problem is that the customer has two children with their own daughter, and, as a result, he can&#39;t use my software because of errors.

Those errors are the result of my various assertions and invariants about the family graph being processed (for example, after walking a cycle, the program states that X can&#39;t be both father and grandfather of Y).

How can I resolve those errors without removing all data assertions?

When I use `show()` to plot the graphs in `X`, the graphs looks very good. However when I start to use `savefig()` to generate large amount of graphs, the `savefig()` generated graphs
&#39; font, lines, polygons all look smaller than the `show()` generated graph. My environment is Ubuntu and the backend for `show()` is `Qt4Agg`. How can I make the `show()` plot and the `savefig()` plot looks consistent?

The initial chart display perfectly fine:

When you click on any of the blue bars (the data set that has the drilldown), things get wonky for the first 7 x-axis items:

It&#39;s as if the initial data sets aren&#39;t being removed by the code:

When you click on any of the bars with the intention of resetting to the original data set/series:

Proper way to remove all series data from a highcharts chart?

I&#39;ve been trying for two days to find a way to set the **maximum value** of the yAxis on Highcharts.

  I got a percentage **column graphic**, but the highest value in the series is 60, so it adjusts the axis to **top at 70**, I found a way to **choose the start point**, but no way to **choose the end point**.

  What I really need is to set the **yAxis from 0 to 100**, so the data will be more accurately viewed as percentage

Is there a standard way to get dates on the x-axis for Highcharts?  Can&#39;t find it in their documentation: https://api.highcharts.com/highcharts/xAxis.type

When my time range is large enough, it shows dates.  However, when the time range isn&#39;t large enough, it just shows hours, like this:
