I was trying to run the [AudioModem](https://github.com/applidium/AudioModem) code (set to target iOS 5.1) on an iOS 9.1 device. For me, simply [changing the deployment target](https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/AppDistributionGuide/ConfiguringYourApp/ConfiguringYourApp.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40012582-CH28-SW47) of the app to 9.0 (incredibly!) worked (somehow without introducing other errors?!).

My unittest target build failed with below error:

    Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64:
      &quot;_OBJC_CLASS_$_MCStore&quot;, referenced from:
          objc-class-ref in MCStoreTests.o
    ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64

What I have checked:

 - `Symbols Hidden by Default` is No
 - `Other Linker Flags` is -framework XCTest

I am trying to use gulp and browserify to transform my `.jsx` files into `.js` files.

The above threw `Arguments to path.resolve must be strings`. I managed to get around it by using `vinyl-source-stream`

    ...

Why does this work? I am fairly new to nodejs and gulp. After reading the README of the project and the source code, I am still confused. Any help?

I have 4 textfields on a register screen and i have it set up so that when the user presses next on each text field, the next text field is focused. Code below:

On the return of the final text field, I am calling a check for errors function (below). Within that if there is an issue with any field I want to focus that text field so the user can easily correct it. What is happening is that the text field with the error is focusing (as instructed by the checkForErrors functions)for a second but then the focus is switching back to the password text field. I also tried adding in `self.passwordField.resignFirstResponder()` into the last else of the above function and that makes the password field lose focus but then the text field with the issue encountered is not gaining focus at all (not even for a second as before) How can I fix this?

focusing a text field in swift

I would like to apply multiple transforms to a `UIView` (or subclass of `UIView`), such as translate, rotate, and scale. I know that two transforms can be applied with [`CGAffineTransformConcat`][1], but how do I do it if I have three or more transforms?

I have seen these questions:

I set a `UIColor` using rgb to a background of a `UILabel`. I&#39;m trying to adjust the `alpha` only. How can I modify the alpha of an existing rgb `UIColor`?

I use ``UIButton`` with auto layout. When images are small the tap area is also small. I could imagine several approaches to fix this: 

1. increase the image size, i.e., place a transparent area around the image. This is not good because when you position the image you have to keep the extra transparent border in mind.
2. use CGRectInset and increase the size. This does not work well with auto layout because using auto layout it will fall back to the original image size.

**Beside the two approaches above is there a better solution to increase the tap area of a UIButton?**

I can&#39;t seem to be able to add this to my info.plist. There is no value it. I&#39;m running XCode Version 7.0 beta (7A121l), and testing on iOS9.

Because I can&#39;t specifically declare what URL&#39;s I want as seen in the video, I keep getting &quot;App Transport Security has blocked a cleartext HTTP (http://) resource load since it is insecure. Temporary exceptions can be configured via your app&#39;s Info.plist file&quot; errors.

However, I don&#39;t seem to be able to configure it. Any ideas?

I updated my project to Swift 2, and received a bunch of `redundant conformance of XXX to protocol YYY`. This happens especially often (or always) when a class conforms to `CustomStringConvertible`. Also some place with `Equatable`.

I suspect that I don&#39;t need to explicitly conform to a protocol when I implement `var description: String { get }`, or whatever methods the protocol requires. Should I just follow fixit instructions and remove all these? Does Swift now automatically infer the conformance if a class implements all the protocol&#39;s methods?

How to uninstall one of the downloaded Xcode simulators?

My *iOS 7 Simulator* won&#39;t boot (`Unable to boot the iOS Simulator`). I want to completely reinstall it.

I tried:

- Deleting `~/Library/Caches/com.apple.dt.Xcode`
- Deleting Xcode and downloading it again from the App Store.

But the iOS 7.1 Simulator remains installed. How to remove it?

Xcode informs you regarding bitcode
&gt;Activating this setting indicates that the target or project should generate bitcode during compilation for platforms and architectures which support it.  For Archive builds, bitcode will be generated in the linked binary for submission to the app store.  For other builds, the compiler and linker will check whether the code complies with the requirements for bitcode generation, but will not generate actual bitcode. [ENABLE_BITCODE]

But I am not getting any really useful information out of this text.

- Can I use the linked answer to circumvent the issue without any negative impact and without compromising a future AppStore submission? 
- What does the `ENABLE_BITCODE` actually do, will it be a non-optional requirement in the future?
- Are there any performance impacts if I enable / disable it?

I recently downloaded Xcode 7 beta, and Xcode complains about some of my C libraries not being compiled into BitCode. How would I go about telling Clang to produce BitCode that is compatible with iOS? I&#39;ve seen similar answers on stackoverflow, but I don&#39;t know if they apply to producing BitCode libraries for iOS.

I am using the correct setting, -fembed-bitcode, but when I try to archive, I get the error:
ld: warning: ignoring file XXXX/XXXX, file was built for archive which is not the architecture being linked (arm64).
When I use -fembed-bitcode-marker, I can archive, but I get the error:
full bitcode bundle could not be generated because XX/XX was built only with bitcode marker. The library must be generated from Xcode archive build with bitcode enabled.

Any ideas on what is going wrong? The library is compiling successfully, but it doesn&#39;t let me archive. I created a simple add function and made it into a library, and I get the same symptoms, so it is not the library I&#39;m compiling.

Edit 2:

Xcode 7 beta 3 just installed some &quot;additional components&quot; (now Version 7.0 beta 3 (7A152u)), and now I&#39;m getting a compiler error:

This Google Code [post](https://code.google.com/p/analytics-issues/issues/detail?id=671) is the only mention I&#39;ve found for GA and bitcode.

It would be nice if I could disable it for this library only rather than disable bitcode entirely. Is that possible?

Google Analytics libAdIdAccess.a does not contain bitcode

Xcode 7 introduces [Bitcode](https://developer.apple.com/library/prerelease/ios/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/AppDistributionGuide/AppThinning/AppThinning.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40012582-CH35-SW3), which is some sort of LLVM intermediate binary that means Apple&#39;s servers can recompile my app for different architectures without my involvement.

At Lookback, I distribute a static archive framework with our library. It seems that when you build with anything but a &quot;Build &amp; Archive&quot;, bitcode is not actually emitted into my library, and anyone who links with my library in their app and tries to do a Build &amp; Archive with Bitcode enabled will get one of two warnings:

* `ld: &#39;Lookback(Lookback.o)&#39; does not contain bitcode. You must rebuild it with bitcode enabled (Xcode setting ENABLE_BITCODE), obtain an updated library from the vendor, or disable bitcode for this target.` (if lib is built with Xcode 6)
* `ld: warning: full bitcode bundle could not be generated because &#39;Lookback(Lookback.o)&#39; was built only with bitcode marker. I have a build script that builds a device+simulator universal binary, so I can&#39;t use Build &amp; Archive, but rather, I run `xcodebuild` from commandline from my script. How can I make `xcodebuild` generate a proper bitcode-enabled library?

I have followed several threads around the new ENABLE_BITCODE setting in Xcode, have also tried as much as I can (admitted I&#39;m not a xcode pro) but still cannot get the project to compile for use on my test phone?

My app runs fine on the simulator but I cannot deploy it onto my iPhone for testing. On latter one I just installed iOS 9 beta.


Now, here is the error message I receive. It appears the setting does not impact the PARSE.com lib, that is part of my project? **How can I get my project to deploy onto my phone?** Thanks for any advice.
