I&#39;m not familiar with dtrace in any regard and I&#39;m afraid to mess with permissions, so I tried to sudo..

I recently updated my MacBook Pro (2.3 GHz Intel Core i5) from Lion to Mountain Lion and simultaneously upgraded Xcode to the latest 4.5 version. I&#39;ve experienced one very irritating problem. While programming I&#39;m used to have a couple of tabs opened at a time. Ever since I updated, each time I switch tabs, Xcode freezes up for a bit (a couple of seconds). Does anyone have a suggestion to solve this problem?

I followed [a tip](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/6355667/xcode-4-slow-performance) on deleting project.xcworkspace to improve performance. Which seamed to help, but only for a short period of time.

I&#39;m trying to setup virtualenvwrapper on OSX, and all the instructions and tutorials I&#39;ve found tell me to add a source command to .profile, pointing towards virtualenvwrapper.sh. I&#39;ve checked all the python and site-packages directories, and I can&#39;t find any virtualenvwrapper.sh. Is this something I need to download separately? Is pip not installing correctly?

This is the contents of /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/virtualenvwrapper:

I&#39;m using Eclipse Juno on MacOSX Lion and have an issue with typing.

I often print one quote/apostrophe and move the caret. But in this Mac version of Eclipse the quote as I type is highlighted by orange marker (it seems like Mac smart quotes feature) and when I move caret - quote disappears. (in Xcode and Appcode everything works ok).

I tried 

    defaults write NSGlobalDomain AutomaticQuoteSubstitutionEnabled -bool false

to disable smart qotes globally, restarted the computer, but this doesn&#39;t help. 

Also I tried to find in Eclipse preferences something related to &quot;quote&quot;, &quot;smart&quot;, &quot;correction&quot; but had no luck. 

Tried to disable &#39;Smart insert mode&#39; - useless.

Tried to set `Java -&gt; Typing -&gt; Automatically close -&gt; Strings` to `on` - but now, when I move caret after printing a quote, Eclipse doubles it instead of removing like before. Also annoying. Why on earth in other programs quotes handling works as expected but I can&#39;t get it work the same way in Eclipse?

By the way, when I recently pressed quote and then a I got &#39;&#228;&#39; symbol. So I assume this is something related to autocorrection.  
But even if I disable `Language &amp; Text -&gt; Automatic replacement`, Eclipse replaces &lt;kbd&gt;&quot;&lt;/kbd&gt; + &lt;kbd&gt;a&lt;/kbd&gt; to &lt;kbd&gt;&#228;&lt;/kbd&gt;.

How to download dependency sources for Gradle project in IDEA?

Yesterday I switched to IntelliJ IDEA from Eclipse. 

I am using JRebel with WebSphere Server 7 as well.

Everything now seems to be working somewhat fine, except that **when I modify** a Java file, and **hit save**, IntelliJ **does not** re-compile the file, in order for JRebel to pick it up. 

The Eclipse &quot;**Build Automatically**&quot; feature resolved this issue. 

In IntelliJ IDEA, I have to hit &lt;kbd&gt;CTRL&lt;/kbd&gt;+&lt;kbd&gt;SHIFT&lt;/kbd&gt;+&lt;kbd&gt;9&lt;/kbd&gt; to re-compile the relevant class for JRebel to pick it up. If changes are done across **two files**, I have **to do this on each and one of** them and since IntelliJ uses the save all mechanism, its pretty hard to know what to recompile manually which I am not really interested in doing either.

Isn&#39;t there a way to make IntelliJ to **do this on its own**?

Intellij IDEA Java classes not auto compiling on save

Is it possible to have a console window / command-line interface as part of the Intellij IDEA UI?  I&#39;d rather go command-line for certain actions, like working with GIT or kicking off build-processes, but at the moment that means keeping a separate console window open and alt-tabbing.

Is there some form of integrated console?  And even better than that, can it automatically point at my project root by default?
