As indicated [here][1], you have to configure `&quot;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\MSEnv\vslauncher.exe&quot;` to run as Administrator.

1. Right-click `C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\MSEnv\VSLauncher.exe`
2. Select Properties
3. Click Compatibility
4. Set &quot;Run this program as an administrator&quot;.

I also did the same for `C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe`.

Another option, a bit less obvious, is to save the devenv.sln file to the Visual Studio IDE folder for that version of Visual Studio. This was an option [described in the link noted above][1].

Probably *not* the best option, but it is an option none the less.

I have a `UICollectionView` which shows photos. I have created the collectionview using `UICollectionViewFlowLayout`. It works good but I would like to have spacing on margins. Is it possible to do that using `UICollectionViewFlowLayout` or must I implement my own `UICollectionViewLayout`?

I&#39;m trying to present a view controller modally, with a transparent background. My goal is to let both the presenting and presented view controllers&#39;s view to be displayed at the same time. The problem is, when the presenting animation finishes, the presenting view controller&#39;s view disappears.

I know I could just add the view as a subview, but I&#39;d like to avoid this solution for some reason. How could I fix it?

In C# language and .NET framework, could you help me with understanding delegates?
I was trying to check some code, and found that the results I received were unexpected for me. Here it is:

    class Program
    {
        public static int I = 0;
        
        static Func&lt;string&gt; del = new Func&lt;string&gt;(I.ToString);
       
        static void Main(string[] args)
        {
            I = 10;
            Console.WriteLine(&quot;{0}&quot;, del());
        }
    }

The answer was 0, but not 10. Why? 


Using delegates in C#

If I use an ObjectCache and add an item like so:

    ObjectCache cache = MemoryCache.Default;
    string o = &quot;mydata&quot;;
    cache.Add(&quot;mykey&quot;, o, DateTime.Now.AddDays(1));

I understand the object will expire in 1 day. But if the object is accessed 1/2 a day later using:

    object mystuff = cache[&quot;mykey&quot;];

Does this reset the timer so it&#39;s now 1 day since the last access of the entry with the key &quot;mykey&quot;, or it still 1/2 a day until expiry?

If the answer is no is there is a way to do this I would love to know.

I&#39;m struggling with a pros and cons list regarding NServiceBus and MassTransit.

Now I know there is already a thread in here, but it doesn&#39;t really answer my questions.

Here is what I&#39;ve read so far:

1. NServiceBus, yes it&#39;s licensed and it doesn&#39;t come for free. 
2. MassTransit, yes it&#39;s open source, but the documentation seems to lack somewhat.

NServiceBus is older, and has more references. It&#39;s hard to find stuff about MassTransit, but I&#39;m open-minded. However I have to deliver a solid solution, and so I have to ask.

So please, someone with experience with both frameworks. Why should I choose NServiceBus? OR Why should I choose MassTransit?

I&#39;m developing on Windows 7, building this in .NET 4.0, x64 Debug.

I have the following code:

If I debug and put a breakpoint on the ending curly brace, I expect x = 3 in the Watch Window and Immediate Window.  x = null instead.  

If I debug in x86, things seem to work fine.  Is something wrong with the x64 compiler or is something wrong with me?

I had my solution in Visual Studio 2012 (which is under TFS source control) open and the TFS server (2010) was down. When I then made a change to one of the files and attempted to save it I got a prompt to ask whether I wanted to Overwrite the file saying the TFS server was down (can&#39;t remember the exact words) and the following message appeared in the Output window:

    This solution is offline.  [Team Foundation Server: http://tfs1:8080/tfs/server]
    The solution was offline during its previous session and will remain offline.

I am running my application in debug mode, and I would like to manually throw an exception (i.e. not from within the code). Is there any way to do this?

Of course, running `throw new Exception(&quot;My forced exception&quot;);` in the Command or Immediate window doesn&#39;t work.

EDIT: I want the exception to be caught by the try-catch statement that surrounds the code I&#39;m debugging.

I am using Team Services on domain visualstudio.com and I need to delete one project, I found out that I need to use command prompt to delete projects, but when I tried the script it seemed that it doesn&#39;t work

My first mistake was that I didn&#39;t append DefaultCollection to the URL, but now I get error that I don&#39;t have privileges.

Delete team project from Visual Studio Team Services

I have a solution initially created using VS2010. When I opened it using VS 2012, it asked me to do some conversion, which I agreed. Now I&#39;m using VS 2010 to open the solution again, and when I tried to build it gave an error:

How can I fix it? For example, is there a way to change the `platform toolset` to v100 again?

I have been having issues with Intellisense in Microsoft [Visual Studio 2012][1]. I will be working in a project, editing code and whatnot (after a period of time, anywhere from 5&amp;nbsp;minutes to over an hour) and all of a sudden, no more code suggestions or intellisense. Both seem to stop working completely at the same time.

The only solution that I have tried is to reset all my settings, close out of Visual Studio completely and reopen the project again. Is there a better solution or an update that will fix this?
