**CLOB** is for large text data (**text**)

Maximum size on MySQL 2GB

Maximum size on Oracle 128TB

`BLOB` primarily intended to hold non-traditional data, such as images,videos,voice or mixed media. `CLOB` intended to retain character-based data.

They can be considered as equivalent. The limits in size are the same:

 * Maximum length of CLOB (in bytes or OCTETS)) 	2 147 483 647
 * Maximum length of BLOB (in bytes) 	2 147 483 647

There is also the DBCLOBs, for double byte characters.

I wanted to try an easy hex to rgba conversion. Ever browser I&#39;ve used renders colors using rgb as default so when using the farbtastic color picker I&#39;m converting the hex value to rgb by grabbing the background color the hex value generates (as rgb by default = simple conversion)

I tried replacing the `)` symbol to `, 1)`, but that didn&#39;t work so I went to just see how converting rgb to rgba would work, and I&#39;m still having trouble.

Convert Hex to RGBA

I am learning Vim but I thought this was a simple task but I cannot get it to work. I have browser SO but the solutions are not working for me.

I am trying to correctly indent an file (xml). The command I use is:
   
    gg=G 
or
    ggVG= (made this one up myself probably does something different ;))

My .vimrc is:

My application needs a pre registered data set to work. So i need to insert them in the database when i set up the application.

[Laravel][1] propose two mechanisms :

 - [Database migrations][2] : *&quot;They allow a team to modify the database schema and stay up to date on the current schema state.&quot;*
 - [Database seeding][3] : *&quot;Laravel also includes a simple way to seed your database with test data using seed classes.&quot;*

When I read this description, none of these solutions seems to be adapted.

A similar question has been [asked on stackoverflow][4] and [answered][5]. The answer proposes to use the a database seeder to populate the database by detecting the current environment :

Laravel : Migrations &amp; Seeding for production data

I have an entity Person which has a list of locations associated with it. I need to query the persons table and get all those that have at least one location from a list of locations (criteria). The following works but is highly inefficient:

    var searchIds = new List&lt;int&gt;{1,2,3,4,5};
    var result = persons.Where(p =&gt; p.Locations.Any(l =&gt; searchIds.Any(id =&gt; l.Id == id)));

This works fine for small lists (say 5-10 searchIds and a person with 5-10 locations. The issue is that some persons may have 100 locations and a search can also be for 100 locations at once. When I tried to execute the above EF actually produced a 2000+ SQL statement and failed because it was too deeply nested. While the nesting is already a problem in itself, even if it would work, I&#39;d still not be very happen with a 2000+ SQL statement.

Note: the real code also includes multiple levels and parent-child relations, but I did manage to get it down to this fairly flat structure using only id&#39;s, instead of full objects

Is there any command that I can run so that I can get all the sequences? 
I am using Oracle 11g. I am using Toad for Oracle to connect to it. I can visually see the sequences in Toad, but I like to know the command line for it.

I have inserted records into a SQL Server database table. The table had a primary key defined and the auto increment identity seed is set to “Yes”. This is done primarily because in SQL Azure, each table has to have a primary key and identity defined. 

But since I have to delete some records from the table, the identity seed for those tables will be disturbed and the index column (which is auto-generated with an increment of 1) will get disturbed.

**How can I reset the identity column after I deleted the records so that the column has sequence in ascending numerical order?**

The identity column is not used as a foreign key anywhere in database.

I have a default tablespace and I&#39;m able to create tables, however, they do not show at the objects tab in Toad.
I cannot insert anything into tables I create.

The first method :

    grant connect to userName;

The second method :

I need to connect another application (Quantum Gis), however it uses the Service Name instead of the SID.

I do not have access to the server and have no local tnsnames.ora or similar.

I have been trying to display pdf file which I am getting as a blob from a `$http.post` response. The pdf must be displayed within the app using `&lt;embed src&gt;` for example.

I came across a couple of stack posts but somehow my example doesn&#39;t seem to work.

**JS:**

According to [this doc][1], I went on and tried...

Now from what I understand, `fileURL` creates a temporary URL that the blog can use as a reference.

I am not sure how to handle this in Angular, the ideal situation would be to **(1)** assign it to a scope, **(2)** &#39;prepare/rebuild&#39; the blob to a pdf **(3)** pass it to the HTML using `&lt;embed&gt;` because I want to display it within the app.

I have been researching for more than a day now but somehow I can&#39;t seem to understand how this works in Angular... And let&#39;s just assume the pdf viewer libraries out there weren&#39;t an option.

I am working on a business application using `angularJS`. One of my service method returning me a `byte[]` (inclding PDF file content) now i need to download this file as `PDF` to client machine using `JavaScript`.

How is that possible using HTML5 Apis or any JavaScript API?

I&#39;m trying to upload a image in Windows Azure Blob and I&#39;m geting the following error which I can&#39;t handle.

The error occurs when I try to create a container.
