Remove Following line from *requirements.txt*.

`pkg-resources==0.0.0` 

To avoid having it in requirements.txt everytime you do a freeze, remove it from your virtual environment with `pip uninstall pkg-resources==0.0.0`

It appears Heroku CLI is using dependencies from a different local branch.
If you are running:

    $ git push origin master
to deploy your application on Heroku, ensure that locally you are switched to master branch.

Remove `pkg-resources==0.0.0` from requirements.txt

if you wish to avoid the problem next time you do a freeze, use `pip uninstall pkg-resources==0.0.0`

In typescript is there any way to assign a variable a generic object type.
Here&#39;s what I mean by &#39;generic Object type&#39;

I need to use curtom root certificates on the company intranet and loading them in the Mac OS TrustStore (KeyChain) does solve the problem for all browsers and GUI apps.

It seems that it works even with the version of `curl` that ships with Mac OS X but it **doesn&#39;t work with python**, even the version that ships with Mac OS 10.12 Sierra (Python 2.7.10)

Still, it seems that I would be hit by:

    urllib2.URLError: &lt;urlopen error [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:590)&gt;

## How can I solve this?

Because I encounter this issue in lots and lots of Python tools I would really appreciate if I find a way to avoid it without having to patch them.

Providing the custom CA certificate myself is not an option because I cannot patch tens of Python tools that I use. 

Most of the tools are using the `requests` library but there are a few that are using the native ssl support in Python directly.

How to make Python use CA certificates from Mac OS TrustStore?

What does replacement mean in numpy.random.choice?

I have Keras installed with the Tensorflow backend and CUDA.  I&#39;d like to sometimes on demand force Keras to use CPU.  Can this be done without say installing a separate CPU-only Tensorflow in a virtual environment?  If so how?  If the backend were Theano, the flags could be set, but I have not heard of Tensorflow flags accessible via Keras.  

Can Keras with Tensorflow backend be forced to use CPU or GPU at will?

I use Jupyter notebook in a browser for Python programming, I have installed Anaconda (Python 3.5). But I&#39;m quite sure that Jupyter is running my python commands with the native python interpreter and not with anaconda. How can I change it and use Anaconda as interpreter?

I want to clarify the given documentation of Django-rest-framework regarding the creation of a model object. So far I have found that there are 3 approaches on how to handle such events.

 1. The Serializer&#39;s `create()` method. Here is the [documentation][1]

I&#39;m trying to implement `partial_update` with [Django Rest Framework][1] but I need some clarification because I&#39;m stuck.


1. **Why do we need to specify partial=True?**  
In my understanding, we could easily update Demo object inside of `partial_update` method. What is the purpose of this?

2. **What is inside of serialized variable?**  
What is inside of `serialized` variable in `partial_update` method? Is that a Demo object? What function is called behind the scenes?
3. **How would one finish the implementation here?**

H14 error in heroku - &quot;no web processes running&quot;

I would like to deploy a Heroku app which will be done ideally using `git push -u heroku master`. However this will only work if there are any pending commits to be pushed to master. 

How can I redeploy the app while there is nothing to push ? I tried `git push -u heroku master -f` and still get the same below

    Branch master set up to track remote branch master from heroku.
    Everything up-to-date

Redeploy Heroku app without code changes

React/react router/heroku question here (it is probably heroku where it is failing).

I am following this wonderful tutorial: https://medium.com/@patriciolpezjuri/using-create-react-app-with-react-router-express-js-8fa658bf892d#.y77yjte2j
and everything works up to the point where I post it to heroku and I try to navigate to https://appname.herokuapp.com/about and I get a 404 Not Found/nginx error. Of course, per the tutorial it is supposed to display an About page.

Bottomline: **React router is not working on heroku and I can&#39;t figure out why**.

and this is where I&#39;m stuck. I am familiar with Express and have gotten it to work on heroku before but this is a whole nother level of nightmare. I understand that this is not server side routing but rather react doing routing from within a single index.html page. But if I can get it to work on my local machine why does it not work on Heroku?

I am trying to connect my Heroku App, written in node.js, to a cluster hosted at Atlas MongoDB Cloud.

My current database is hosted at mLab (as a Heroku Add-on), and the MongoDB URI used to access the cluster through mongoose is (using *xxx* to omit confidential info):

However, when running the App in Heroku, the connection cannot be established. In the Browser JS console, I get the 503 service unavailable message. In heroku, I get the error:

    no primary found in replica set


I am aware that Atlas MongoDB Cloud requires SSL connection, differently from mLab. In my local machine, I suppose a self signed certificate is being used to connect successfully to the cluster.

My question is: do I need to get SSL support in Heroku in order to be able to access establish the secure connection between Heroku and MongoDB Atlas? Or the SSL suport in Heroku is only required to client/Heroku secure connection?

I have a Macbook with OS X El Captain. I think that Python 2.7 comes preinstalled on it. However, I installed Python 3.5 too. When I started using Python 3, I read that if I want to install a package, I should type:

    pip3 install some_package

Anyway, now when I use

    pip install some_package

I get `some_package` installed for Python 3. I mean I can import it and use it without problems. Moreover, when I type just `pip3` in the Terminal. I got this message about the usage:

    Usage:   
      pip &lt;command&gt; [options]
which is the same message I get when I type just `pip`.

Does it mean that in previous versions, things were different, and now `pip` and `pip3` can be used interchangeably? If so, and for the sake of argument, how can I install packages for Python 2 instead of Python 3?

I am trying to install packages from `pip` to a fresh environment (virtual) created using anaconda.  [In the Anaconda docs][1] it says this is perfectly fine.  It is done the same way as for virtualenv.  

&gt; Activate the environment where you want to put the program, then pip install a program...

I created an empty environment in Ananconda like this:

    conda create -n shrink_venv

Activate it:

    source activate shrink_venv

I then can see in the terminal that I am working in my env `(shrink_venv)`.  Problem is coming up, when I try to install a package using `pip`:

    (shrink_venv): pip install Pillow

    Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): Pillow in /Library/Python/2.7/site-packages

So I can see it thinks the requirement is satisfied from the system-wide package.  So it seems the environment is not working correctly, definitely not like it said in the docs.  Am I doing something wrong here?

Just a note, I know you can use `conda install` for the packages, but I have had an issue with Pillow from anaconda, so I wanted to get it from `pip`, and since the docs say that is fine.

Output of `which -a pip`:

    /usr/local/bin/pip
    /Users/my_user/anaconda/bin/pip

** UPDATE **
I see this is pretty common issue. What I have found is that the conda env doesn&#39;t play well with the PYTHONPATH. The system seems to always look in the PYTHONPATH locations even when you&#39;re using a conda environment. Now, I always run `unset PYTHONPATH` when using a conda environment, and it works much better. I&#39;m on a mac.

I am new to python. Recently I got a project written by python and it requires some installation. I run below command to install but got an error.

    # pip install requirements.txt 
    Collecting requirements.txt
      Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement requirements.txt (from versions: )
    No matching distribution found for requirements.txt

I searched on google and found this link `http://stackoverflow.com/questions/28167987/python-pip-trouble-installing-from-requirements-txt` but I don&#39;t quite understand what the solution in that post.

Below is my requirements.txt file:

I have already installed `libfreetype6-dev` but the pip command still reports missing this dependency.
