From what I&#39;ve found online, this is a bug introduced in JDK 1.7.0_45. It appears to also be present in JDK 1.7.0_60. A [bug report][3] on Oracle&#39;s website states that, while there was a fix, it was removed before the JDK was released. I do not know why the fix was removed, but it confirms what we&#39;ve already suspected -- the JDK is still broken.

The bug report claims that the error is benign and should not cause any run-time problems, though one of the comments disagrees with that. In my own experience, I have been able to work without any problems using JDK 1.7.0_60 despite seeing the message.

If this issue is causing serious problems, here are a few things I would suggest:

 - Revert back to [JDK 1.7.0_25][1] until a fix is added to the JDK. 

 - Keep an eye on the [bug report][3] so that you are aware of any work being done on this issue. Maybe even add your own comment so Oracle is aware of the severity of the issue.

 - Try the [JDK early releases][2] as they come out. One of them might fix your problem.

I get this error when building my app in the latest version of Xcode:

Does anybody know how I can resolve this? I cannot delete anything at the directory as suggested in the 2nd part of the error message as that directory doesn&#39;t exist!

I am just now beginning to learn the internal architecture of Java. I have roughly understood the concept of class loading which loads the required classes when `jvm` runs, `ClassNotFoundException` is thrown when a class is not found and specific class loader loads the classes referenced by the class. 

Can someone please explain clearly the flow of class loading i.e. the sequence of bootstrap class loading and user-defined class loading in the sample Java code below.

Flow of class loading for a simple program

I have a vertical LinearLayout where one of the items is an `ImageView` loaded using Picasso. I need to rise the image&#39;s width to the full device width, and to display the center part of the image cropped by a fixed height (150dp). I currently have the following code:

I have a situation, where there are two fields. `field1` and `field2`. All I want
to do is empty `field2` when `field1` is changed and vice versa. So at the end only
one field has content on it.

It works fine if I attach `addTextChangedListener` to `field1` only, but when
I do it for both fields the app crashes. Obviously because they try to change
each other indefinitely. Once `field1` changes it clears `field2` at this moment
`field2` is changed so it will clear `field1` and so on...

Can someone suggest any solution?

I was going through a document which talks about [just-in-time compiler][1] (JIT) optimization techniques for Java. One of them was &quot;loop inversion&quot;. And the document says:

How does loop inversion work and how does it optimize our code path?

Using a couple `android.widget.NumberPicker` in my Android App view and I get the following message when I hold down on one of the numbers arrows:-

I am a relative newcomer to the world of Java enterprise development.  My organization&#39;s Java guru is out on indefinite family leave, and I have been assigned the task of maintaining some of the Java applications he developed.  He setup Eclipse [Kepler SR1] with Maven on my computer before he left, and it appeared to work ok.

Now I&#39;m ready to deploy my first modification and need to run a Maven `install`, but I am having trouble getting it to work - I get the following output on my console:

but I definitely *am* running a JDK and not a JRE.  I double-checked my `$JAVA_HOME` (`C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_60`) and it *does* have a `javac.exe` in its `bin` directory.

I am attaching a copy of my `pom.xml` file for your review.  I&#39;m sure there is something in there that is causing the problem, but I am not sure what it might be.  I am using a laptop with Windows 7 64bit, if you need any further platform/environment info I can supply that as well.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a maven project that was built on the commandline for eclipse and one of the dependencies is constantly changing. How do I update this dependency on the commandline as I have heard that it is a bad idea to mix m2e plugin and commandline. Furthermore, I tried running `mvn eclipse:eclipse` on the command line and it messes up the project in eclipse removing the dependencies folder.

I am using EGit on [Eclipse&amp;nbsp;v4.3][1] (Kepler). I want to commit and push my changes. I do a pull first and one file is conflicting. After manually resolving the conflict (local and remote are the same now), I am still running into problems.

Here are the error messages for each action:

Push to upstream

Pull

Mark as merged

I need to store API keys and other sensitive information in `app.yaml` as environment variables for deployment on GAE. The issue with this is that if I push `app.yaml` to GitHub, this information becomes public (not good). I don&#39;t want to store the info in a datastore as it does not suit the project. Rather, I&#39;d like to swap out the values from a file that is listed in `.gitignore` on each deployment of the app.

Securely storing environment variables in GAE with app.yaml

I was wondering what the difference between App Engine &amp; Compute Engine are. Can anyone explain the difference to me?

What is the difference between Google App Engine and Google Compute Engine?

I am aware that other people have tried to resolve this issue but have thus far found a suitable answer.

The error is, on start up, eclipse gets hung up on &quot;Android SDK: resolving error markers&quot; furthermore, if I try to interact with it, it freezes completely and I am forced to force quit.

I find it odd that it needs to resolve the error markers multiple times but I assume this is just for each project in my workspace.

Other things to note being that all that currently exists within my workspace is an Android Application, an App-engine endpoint project for the before application, and 4 needed referenced libraries. All mentioned projects are open. Is this a matter of me overloading the IDE or perhaps there is some loop I threw it into? I find it hard to imagine that this is a unique circumstance.

UPDATE:
When I delete the app engine endpoint project from the workspace and restart eclipse, it loads fine. When I bring it back in, all good. But when I restart from there, it goes into error loop again. I am convinced that I have a circular reference in there somewhere but I cant figure out where. Thanks for your help.

I&#39;m trying to fetch data from the StackExchange API using a Google App Engine backend. As you may know, some of StackExchange&#39;s APIs are site-specific, requiring developers to run queries against every site the user is registered in.

So, here&#39;s my backend code for fetching timeline data from these sites. The `feed_info_site` variable holds the StackExchange site name (such as `&#39;security&#39;`, `&#39;serverfault&#39;`, etc.).

When running this query on all sites except Stack Overflow, everything works OK. What&#39;s weird is, when the `feed_info_site` variable is set to `&#39;stackoverflow&#39;`, I get the following error from Google App Engine:

Of course, if I run the same query in Safari, I get the JSON results I&#39;m expecting from the API. So the problem really lies in Google&#39;s URLfetch service. I found several topics here on Stack Overflow related to similar HTTPS/SSL exceptions, but no accepted answer solved my problems. I tried removing `cacerts.txt` files. I also tried making the call with `validate_certificate=False`, with no success.

I think the problem is not strictly related to HTTPS/SSL. If so, how would you explain that changing a single API parameter would make the request to fail?
